§2 Installation of EQUIOS Patch
§2.1 Installation of the Patch for EQUIOS Server
1.Launching the Windows Explorer, and then open the folder that the Patch is placed. 2.Double clicking the self-extract file. 3.The following dialog box is displayed. Select the extract destination folder, and then click the “OK” button. The patch installer is extracted to the specified folder. 4.Double click the following file in the extracted folder. %Specified folder%\Disk1\SetupLauncher.vbs Note: If the patch already applied, the following message box is displayed. If you click the “OK” button, installation is aborted. Note: If the dependent patch is not applied, the following message box is displayed.

5.The following screen is displayed. Click the “Next” button. 6.After clicking the “I accept the terms of the License Agreement” radio button, click the “Next” button.

7.Click the “Install” button to start installation. The following message will be displayed. Click the “OK” button when you continue installing. 8.The following screen will be displayed while installing. !! CAUTION !!
Never click the “Cancel” button in the progress screen.

9.When complete the installation, the following window will be displayed. Click the “Done” button. 10.The following message box is displayed. Click the “Yes” button. Note: If you click the “No” button, you must restart the EQUIOS server machine later. If you do not restart, EQUIOS does not work properly.

§2.2 Updating of EQUIOS Client
§2.2.1 Windows
1.Launching the EQUIOS client. Enter the address of the control server on while you installed the EQUIOS Ver.2.40, and then click the “Connect” button. 2.The following screen is displayed. Click the “Update” button. 3.The following screen is displayed. Click the “Next” button.

4.When the installation starts, the following window is displayed. Please wait for a while. 5.When complete the installation, the following windows is displayed. Click the “Done” button. 6.If the installation is successful, the “Select Server” screen is displayed.

§2.2.1 Macintosh
1.Access the following URL by using Web browser.
http://[EQUIOS Server host name]:50067/client/en/index.htm or
http://[EQUIOS Server IP address]:50067/client/en/index.htm 2.The following Window for downloading will be displayed. Click the “Download” menu of Mac OS.

3.The following Window for downloading will be displayed. 4.When complete the download, the downloaded file is decompressed automatically. 5.Move to the desktop the “EquiosClient” folder that has been decompressed.

§3 Printer Controller Upgrade Procedure
§3.1 Printer Controller Ver.2.40JD003 Upgrade Procedure
1.Backup following folder in Windows2012 PCs. D:\TP-JL350 ※D:\TP-JL350 has been set as hidden folder. Enter the path directly to Explorer’s address bar. ※Refer to “§<Appendix1> folders to be backed up”(P26) for folders to be backed up ※For example, ・on Windows2012 PC, create a backup folder to F drive prior to copying. 2.Touch the top right corner of the startup screen to finish the controller.

3.Finish application running. Click 5 or 6 or 7 icons in taskbar. Click the “Fnish” button in 5 or 6 or 7 displayed windows. Confirm that all 5 or 6 or 7 icons in taskbar disappear. Copy the downloaded installer file to desktop. Open ‘Installer/VerUp’ folder. Launch one of the following installers accordingly. Double-click on ・CMYK (4 color models): double click “4C\InstDevelopPackage.exe” ・CMYK+White (5 color models): double click “5CW\InstDevelopPackage.exe” ・CMYK+Orange (5 color models): double click “5CO\InstDevelopPackage.exe” ・CMYK+White+Orange (6 color models): double click “6C\InstDevelopPackage.exe” Following screen will be displayed. 4.Wait until following screen is displayed and click to “OK”. 5.Shutdown PC.

6.Start PC. 7.Wait until the printer controller completes version up process at startup time. 8.Following dialog will be displayed after the upgrade completes. Touch the “OK” button. When succeeded: When failed: When failed, remove files in following folder, and go back to step 4.
*Do not delete following folders!
D:\TP-JL350\ClientUpdate D:\TP-JL350\MainServerUpdate D:\TP-JL350\SubServerUpdate *If above folders are accidentally deleted, refer to “§<Appendix2> Recovering deleted “Update”

9.Confirm the version name displayed in startup screen matches “JD2 4.00.030.3.1”.
