Do not leave your tent set up in direct
sunlight ll;)nger than necessary.
The polyester fabric in your Hillary tent
provides much greater ul_traviolet
resistance :than nylon tehts but for
maximum life of product,, avoid set up in
sunlight fo_' prolonged periods of time.
Your tent is water repellent, however, it is not
waterproof. [>uring heavy raini some leakage may
occur. Keep objects from touching the inside of the
tent. Such oSiects may cause!leakage at point of
contact, If se_=mleakage occurs, it can be con-
trolled by applying a seam sealer compound.
:Althoughour tents and screen houses are con-
structed to ri!tid specifications, periods ofwind or
rain soaking Ihe ground may loosen ;thestakes and
cause the fra_neto sink into the ground. This will
weaken the rigidity of the over,_ll structure. Water
pockets may also form in the roof if the unit is not
assembled tmJt, possibly causing broken frames
and torn fabric.
Make certain !four tent isclean and dry before
storage. Do not store on concrete floor.

carefullyflex the main room poles, one at a time,

Insert the metal stakes throughthe rings located
at each corner of the'main tent room. Stake down
main roo_ by hammering each stake into the
ground at a45 ° angle, making certain to pull the
main room,out tight, so ther.eare no wrinkles in
the inside tent floor.
Toform side rooms, sliclethe fiberglass side room
poles (B) lhrough the sleeves,locatedat the roof of
each of tl_etwo side rooms_With a person on
each end of the side roomspoles, gently flex the
fiberglass and place the pole endsover the
remaining pinsat the tent base.
Clip tentto frame.
Stake down the side roomslby inserting the plastic
stakes thr.:_ughthe webbing stake loops and
hammerin:;lstakes into the groundat a 45° angle,
making s(.rethe tent rooms are pulled out even
and tight.
Tent should appear as shown.

foldedinto equal parts toward the center of l_e
tent to di::Aributethe bulk. !Foldfly and layon top
of tent 3tart a small tight _o11,the width of the
carry bag, with the pole bag,placed at the end
opposite the main door. Rolltent toward door to
allow air i_oescape. Once rolied,secure with
strings or rope. Slidetent and stake bag into carry
bag. Make suretent is cle_nand dry before
