Throttle
Starboard side of binnacle
Shifting
Shifter is located on the port side of the binnacle. Reverse is up, middle is neutral,
Forward is down. Shifter is labeled with directions.
Engine Starting
1. Put shift lever in neutral
2. Push the throttle lever forward about a third of the way
3. Turn the key
4. Push “start” for about 2-5 seconds and the engine should start
5. At this point the audible alarm should turn off. If not, Stop the engine!
Stop Engine
In neutral, pull stop cable until engine stops. When the alarm sounds, turn the key to
off.

Electrical
AC Electrical
Switches
Located on the right half of the electrical panel. Main breaker switch is on top.
House Battery Switch
Under the chart table; set battery selector to “1”
Battery Charging
Charged by either shore power (make sure AC power and battery charger switch are
turned ON) or by running the engine.
Monitoring Batteries
Monitor levels when using DC services while the engine is not running.
Battery voltmeter is below the DC panel.
DC Electrical Panel
Located on the left half of the electrical panel, with the main breaker
Electronics
GPS/Chartplotter
Located above the companionway. To Use:
1. Access through the “Instrument/Autopilot” switch on DC panel.
Depth/Speed/Wind
Instruments
Located on either side of the helm. To Use:
1. In main cabin, turn “Instruments” switch on the DC panel to “on”
2. Depth, speed and wind will read automatically.
Sails
Headsail
Genoa that can be furled in to work as a jib. Unfurl slowly on windy days.
Mainsail
Outhaul adjusts underneath the boom on a silver cam cleat. Boom vang adjustment uses a
block and tackle system leading to a cam cleat at the lower end of the vang. Cunningham
adjustment runs to the deck clutches above the companionway. Main halyard runs along the port
side to the cockpit clutch.
Tankage
Water Tanks
Capacity: Two tanks onboard with a total capacity of 100 gallons (50 gallons each)
Location: Tanks are located under each settee in the salon.
Fill Caps: Located slightly forward of midship, both sides.
Fuel Tank
Location: Under cockpit
Fill Cap: aft on the starboard side
Capacity: 28 gallons
Holding Tank
Capacity: 25 gallons
Location: Inside port cockpit locker
Pump-out Deckfill: Located on port midship; labeled “Waste”. Never pump the tank
overboard.

Head
Operation
Nothing goes in
the bowl that has
not been
consumed first.
Do not flush toilet
paper → put TP
in trash.
Make sure the water intake seacock is open, which is under the head sink. Should be left
open.
Head Operation:
1. Move selector switch to wet bowl
2. Pump 3-5 times to allow water into the bowl
3. After use, move the selector switch to “dry bowl” and pump contents until the bowl
is empty.
4. Move the switch back to “wet bowl”, pump again a few times to bring in water, then
change to “dry bowl”, pumping water through until the bowl is empty.

Bilge Pump
Bilge Pump
(Electric)
3-way switch on bottom right side of DC panel. Hold to “manual” for continuous or “auto”
for intermittent with a float switch. Always leave the switch on “auto” before leaving the
boat.
Bilge Pump
(Manual)
2 sockets: one is located aft portside in the cockpit next to the start panel, the other is
located in the galley. Handles are stowed next to the helm and in the navigation table.
To operate:
1. Insert handle into socket
2. Move handle up and down to allow the pump to prime. When the pump is
primed, moving the handle will be harder, but keep pumping as water is moving
through and out the bilge exit thru hull. Pumping will become easier as water
exits the boat.
3. Remove handle and place back in the spot where it was.
General Notes
Refrigeration
Ran by 12v; switch located on DC panel. Icebox drain is under the galley sink.
Stovetop
Fueled by propane.
Basic Operation (detailed operation, including oven operation is located in boat manual):
1. Open gate valve on propane tank
2. Turn on the solenoid switch located under the chart table labeled “propane
control”.
3. Light the propane lighter holding next to the desired burner.
4. Push the knob in and turn the gas control knob on the stove to light. Once lit, keep
pushing the knob in for 15 seconds to activate the safety sensor.
Shut Down:
1. Turn off the solenoid switch “propane control” below chart table
2. Once flame is extinguished, turn off knob(s) on stove
3. Turn off the valve on the propane tank. Especially make sure this is closed at the
end of the day.
Galley Sink
Y-valve to both water tanks is located on the centerline below the cabin sole next to the
galley sink.
Seacock located in a cabinet under the sink.
See manual for operating water pressure.
Head Sink
Seacock located under sink
Hot Water Heater
AC and engine heat exchange operated. 6 gallon capacity.
Anchor
2 Anchors: primary in the bow anchor locker, secondary in starboard aft cockpit
Primary anchor: 22lb. Delta plow anchor with 100 feet of chain and 135 feet of 1/2” line
marked in 25 foot intervals from the chain.
Secondary anchor: Danforth with 150 feet of line.
Boat does **not** have a windlass
