INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS:
The SV-6818.EM.IIisan ultra-smallembedded style lip-mountwaterproofback-upcamera,
designed tobeinstalled on anyvehicle.Thecameramountslikeaflush-mountcamerabut
givesthe appearanceofalip-mountcameraonceinstalled.The small sizeallowsittofitin
almostanylocation onanyvehicleaslong asit’saflatsurfaceandtheultra-widevehicle angle
makesitperfectforvehicleswithlargerblindspots.

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING:
1.Find asuitablelocation onthetrunkliporlicenseplatebezeltosecurethecameradownto
thebodyofthevehicle
2.Makesurethemounting location thatyou chooseison aflatsurfacesothatwhenthecamera
isinstalled therewill beno unevengapsaroundtheedges.
3.Usethesuppliedhole-sawbittodrill theholeofthecamera’sinsertmountingclip.Usethe
attached 3M double-sidetape tosecurethe cameraintoplace.The tapewill alsosealany
edgesaroundthedrilledholefortheinsert.
4.Routethewireharness throughtherearbumperofthevehicleorthroughanykindofrubber
grommeton the vehicle.Ifyouhavetodrill ahole,makesuretosealthe holeonceyouroute
thewiring throughtopreventleakingormoisturedamage.
NOTE: Makesuretousethesupplied hole-sawbit todrill theholeforthe insert. Thiswill helpyou
toavoidanymistakesindrilling theholetoobigortoosmall.

REVERSE (MIRROR)IMAGING:
The SV-6818.EM.IICamerahasbuilt-incircuitryto“mirror” the image soobjectsontherightof
vehicleappearontherightandobjectson theleft appearontheleftwhen lookingatastandard
monitor.Ifyourexisting monitororin-dashmonitorhasareversecamerainputwherethe monitor
itselfperformsthemirrorimage,then yourpicturewill notbecorrect.Ifthishappens,the SV-
6818.EM.IIcamerahaswirethatcanbe cutreversethe imagebacktonormal. (See WiringDiagram)

WIRING:
1.Carefully chooseahidden out-of-sightlocationfordrilling the cablehole.Somevehiclesmay
haveanexisting hiddenrubbergrommetorplugavailabletoavoidhaving todrill intothebody.
Besuretodouble-checkforanywiringorobstructionsbehindthesurfacewhereyou aregoing to
drill the cablehole.Usethe rubbergrommettomakeawatertightsealforthecablewhereit
passesintothevehicle.
2.Chooseaconvenientplacetorunthecameracableuptheleft,rightorcenterofthe vehicle.As
aruleofthumb,trytoavoidmainfactoryharness loomsthatmaycontainhigh levelsorRFnoise
orinterference.
3.You canconnectthecamerapowerattherearofthevehiclebehindthereverselights.You may
alsoconnectpowerinsidethevehicleunderthe dashorinthe trunk. TheRed powerwiregoesto
ReverseLight+12V,andthe BlackwiretoGround.The Whiteloop wirethatcomesoutofthe
side oftheharness isforreverseimaging.Keepthe wireconnectedfornormalimageorcutthe
wireinhalfforreverseimage.The Blue loopwireisfortheParking lineoption.Cutthiswireto
removetheparkinglinesorleaveitconnected toactivatetheparkinglinefeature.
4.Run theYellowRCAvideocabletothemonitor’svideoinputorreversecamerainput.
