INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS:
The SV-6940.LM.IIuniversal lip-mountwaterproofback-up cameraisdesigned tobe installed
on anyvehicles.Mostinstallationsareeasytoinstall withno drilling required,requiring minimal
installation time.
Thisuniquelydesigned productcan be ofuseforanypassengercar,SUVand Van,alsocan be
ofuseforlarge truck,school bus,busand boataswell.Furthermore,itcan notonlybe installed
on the licenseplatebezel ortrunklid,butanywhereon the vehicle,suchasunderthe bumper,
on the sidesofcargo trailersorabovethe hatch.

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING:
1.The Securview™SV-6940.LM RearVision Systemusesawide-anglelensforbestall around
performance.The Camerawilldisplaythe fullwidthofmostparking spacesup to7feetor
even wider.
2.The SV-6940.LM isaUniversalLipMountstylecamerawhichhasasmall design thatallows
ittobe mounted inseveraldifferentlocationsaround the vehiclesuchasthe LicensePlate
Bezel,TrunkLid,Front/RearBumper,Etc.Choosewhereyouwantthe cameratobe
located.Makesurethatthereisnothing behind the mounting surfacethatcanbe damaged
when the camerais mounted intoplace
3.Carefully choosealocation toroutethe video /powercableintothe vehicle.If you haveto
drill aholetoroutethe cable,makesurethereis nothing behind the drilling surfacethatcan
bedamaged.
4.Securethe cameraintoplaceusing screwsordouble-sided tape.(Ifusing double-side tape,
makesurethe surfaceisveryclean beforeapplying the tape)
5.Oncethe cameraismounting,securethe video /powercablewithziptiesortape toensure
that it doesnotmovearound freely.

REVERSE (MIRROR)IMAGING:
The SV-6940.LM.IICamerahasbuilt-incircuitryto“mirror” the image soobjectson the rightof
vehicleappearon the rightand objectson the left appearon the left when looking atastandard
monitor.If yourexisting monitororin-dashmonitorhasareversecamerainputwherethe monitor
itselfperformsthe mirrorimage,then yourpicturewillnotbe correct. If thishappens,the SV-
6940.LM.IIcamerahasawhitewirethatcan beconnected toreversethe image backtonormal.(See
Wiring Diagram)

WIRING:
1.Carefully chooseahidden out-of-sightlocation (possibly behind the plate)fordrilling the cable
hole.Somevehiclesmayhavean existing hidden rubbergrommetorplug availabletoavoid
having todrill intothe body.Besuretodouble-check foranywiring orobstructionsbehind the
surfacewhereyou aregoingtodrill the cablehole.
2.Chooseaconvenientplacetorun thecameracableup the left, rightorcenterofthe vehicle.As
aruleofthumb,trytoavoidmainfactoryharnessloomsthatmaycontainhigh levelsorRFnoise
orinterference.
3.You can connectthe camerapoweratthe rearofthe vehiclebehind the reverselights.You may
alsoconnectpowerinsidethe vehicleunderthe dashorinthe trunk.The REDpowerwiregoes
toReverseLight +12V, and the BLACKwiretoGround.
4.Run the YELLOWRCAvideo cabletoyourmonitor’svideo inputorreversecamerainput.
5.Therearetwosmallsetsof GREENand WHITEwiresthatcomeoutof the maincameraharness.
Connectthe GREENwirestogethertodeactivatethe distancegrid.Connectthe WHITEwires
togethertoactivateMirrorImaging.
NOTE:Wheneveryou connectordisconnectthe GREENorWHITEwires,you mustremove
powerfrom the cameraand then poweritbackup forthe changestotakeeffect.
