1/ SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before using this electrical appliance, read the instructions
below carefully and keep them for future reference:
1. This appliance may be used by children aged 8or
over and by persons lacking in experience and knowledge
or with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities,
provided they have been trained or are monitored for
safe use of the appliance and are aware of potential risks.
Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance operations to be carried out by the user must
not be performed by children unless they are over 8years
of age and are being supervised. Keep the appliance and its
cable out of reach of children under 8years of age.
2. This appliance is intended for domestic use and not for
use in environments such as:

– kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices or other working
environments;
– farms;
– by guests in hotels, motels and other residential
environments;
– B&B-style accommodation.
– restaurants and other similar applications, excluding
retail.
3. If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, the manufacturer's after-sales service, or
by a person with similar qualifications, in order to avoid any
danger.
4. Before plugging the appliance into the wall socket,
check that the local electric current corresponds to the
current specified on the appliance's rating plate. Always
plug your appliance into an earthed wall socket.
5. The appliance cannot be built into a piece of furniture
or in a practical accommodation, in a wall or in similar
locations.
6. Unplug the power cable from the mains as soon as
you stop using the appliance and prior to any cleaning or
maintenance operations.
7. WARNING: keep the ventilation openings in the
appliance’s enclosure free from obstruction.
8. WARNING: do not use mechanical devices or other
means to speed up the defrosting process other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
9. WARNING: do not damage the refrigeration circuit.
10. WARNING: do not use electrical devices inside the food
storage compartment, with the exception of food types that
are recommended by the manufacturer.

11. Do not store explosive substances in this appliance
such as aerosols containing flammable propellants.
12. Defective electrical appliances must be recycled,
not disposed of with household waste. Please actively
assist us in our efforts to preserve resources and to protect
the environment by placing this appliance in collection
centres and drop-off centres.
13. Warning: when disposing of your appliance, and to
prevent any risk of bodily injury, remove anything that
is likely to pose a hazard: cut the power cable from the
appliance. Contact your local authority for information on
authorised places to dispose of the appliance. Remove the
door to avoid children from getting trapped inside.
14. Risk of suffocation! Keep all packaging materials out of
the reach of children and babies!
15. Recycle the packaging materials in accordance with
regulations. Ask local authorities where dedicated collection
centres and rubbish dumps are located.
16. Warning: to prevent the appliance from deteriorating in
any way, transport it in its usage position equipped with its
transport brackets (model-dependent).
17. WARNING: risk of fire!
The appliance’s cooling circuit contains isobutane (R600a),
a natural gas with high level of compatibility with the
environment but that is nonetheless flammable.
18. During transportation and installation of the appliance,
make sure no part of the cooling circuit is damaged. If there
is damage:
– avoid open flames and sources of ignition

– thoroughly ventilate the room containing the appliance.
19. With regard to the information pertaining to installing,
operating, maintaining and disposing of the appliance,
please refer to the paragraphs “INSTALLATION”, “USE”,
“MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING”and “DISPOSAL”.
20. WARNING: to avoid any risks related to the instability
of the appliance, it must be secured according to the
instructions.
21. Children aged 3 to 8 are permitted to use refrigeration
appliances to put away and take out food.

24. To avoid contamination of food, follow the instructions
below:

– Regularly clean surfaces that may come into contact
with food and accessible drainage systems.
– Clean water tanks if they have not been used for 48
hours; flush the water system connected to the water supply
if water has not been drawn for 5 days.*
– Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the
refrigerator to ensure that it does not come into contact with
or drip onto other food.
– Two-star frozen-food compartments are suitable
for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice-cream and
making ice cubes.*

– One , two , three-star and four-star
compartments are not suitable for freezing fresh
food.*
– If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long
periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door
open to prevent mould developing within the appliance.
– For appliances without a 4-star compartment: this
refrigerating appliance is not suitable for freezing food. *
*Note: Please confirm whether this is applicable according
to your product compartment type.
25. Dispose of the appliance according to local regulations
as it contains a flammable refrigerant gas.
26. WARNING: To avoid hazards caused by an unstable
appliance, the appliance must be fixed in place in accordance
with the instructions.
27. WARNING: Only connect the appliance to a potable
water supply. (Suitable for ice making machine)
28. To prevent children from becoming entrapped, keep
the appliance out of reach of children and do not allow
them to play in the vicinity of the freezer (or refrigerator).
(Suitable for products with locks).
29. All accessories, such as drawers, shelves, balconies,
should be kept there for lower energy consumption.

3/ INTENDED USE
■This chest freezer appliance is intended solely for domestic use. This appliance
should be used exclusively for storing food.
■This appliance must not be used for other purposes, such as for storing:
– bottled liquids,
– carbonated drinks (such as beer or soft drinks),
– flammable liquids, explosives or aerosols,
– blood, biological or medicine products.

5/ BEFORE FIRST USE
■Unpack the appliance and make sure it is not damaged. Do not plug in the
appliance if it is damaged. Immediately inform the retailer of the appliance of the
damage found. In this case, keep the packaging.
■Before using the appliance for the first, clean the inside and all internal
accessories with warm soapy water to remove the typical “new” smell, then dry
them thoroughly.
6/ SETUP
■Transport: the angle during transport must not exceed 45°. Keep the door and
the hinge in place when moving the appliance.
■This appliance should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated place (a garage or a
basement).
■This appliance must be used inside your home.
■This appliance must not be fitted between two pieces of furniture or two other
appliances. Leave enough free space around the appliance to allow heat to
escape:
– above the appliance ≥ 70 cm
– to the left and right of the appliance ≥ 20 cm
– behind the appliance ≥ 20 cm
■Avoid installing the appliance near an oven or cooker, as this is likely to affect its
performance.
■Install the appliance in such a way that the plug can be accessed. This appliance is
designed to be powered at single-phase230V. It must be plugged into an earthed
socket and protected by a 10 A fuse.
■Do not place hot items onto the plastic parts of the appliance.
■Place the appliance perfectly level on a flat, solid surface.The appliance must rest
on its 4feet. Steady the appliance using the 2levelling feet.
■The appliance must not be plugged in using an extension or multi-socket adapter.
■Before plugging in your appliance, allow it to rest for at least 4hours so that the
refrigerant gas will settle in the compressor.
Warning: if this appliance, equipped with a magnetic seal, is intended to
replace one with a spring-loaded seal, we recommend that you disable the
latter before scrapping it. This will prevent children from getting trapped
inside, thus endangering their lives.
Certain noises during operation (compressor, refrigerant circuit) are
normal.

7/ USE
Operation
■Plug in the freezer to a power source so that the“Power”indicator light turns on;
the “Run” indicator light turns on when the compressor is running; the “ALARM”
indicator light turns on when the internal temperature is too high.
■The temperature of the freezer can be adjusted with the thermostat button. The
figures 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 do not indicate specific temperatures. The lower the
figure, the higher the internal temperature, and vice versa.
Switching off
■To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat to the OFF position.
Regulating the temperature
■The temperature regulates itself automatically. To operate the appliance, follow
these instructions:
– turn the thermostat button to 1for less cold;
– turn the thermostat button to 6for more cold;
■In general, setting the thermostat to 1will provide a suitable temperature.
However, you must bear in mind that the temperature inside the appliance
depends on several factors:
– the room temperature
– how often the door is opened
– the volume of food stored
– the location of the appliance
■Recommended setting: between 4 and 5.
The appliance is likely to stop working as normal if it has been operating
for a long time at a temperature lower than the minimum temperature
within the range for which the appliance is designed.
Indicator lights
■The green light indicates that the freezer is running.
■The red light indicates that the temperature inside the freezer is below 18°C
and that the freezing performance can be altered. In such a case, check that
the thermostat is set correctly and turn it to a higher position. If the problem
continues, contact your after-sales service.
Freezing fresh food
■The freezer is suitable for freezing fresh foodstuffs and conserving frozen food for
a long time.
■The freezing process takes 24 hours: you should not add any other foodstuff to be
frozen during this period.
Storing frozen food
When starting up the appliance or after a prolonged shutdown, set the thermostat
to the 6position for around 2hours before putting products into the compartment.

Warning: in the event of accidental defrosting, as a result of a power cut
for example, if the outage lasts for over 18 hours, consume the frozen food
as quickly as possible, or refreeze them after cooking them (once they have
cooled down).

The symbols indicate different types of frozen food. The figures indicate the storage
time in months corresponding to the different frozen food types.The appropriateness
of the minimum or maximum storage time depends on the quality of the food and
how they are used before freezing.
USEFUL ADVICE
Advice for freezing
For best results, here is some important advice:
■Only freeze high-quality, fresh foodstuffs (once cleaned).
■For quicker and more uniform freezing, prepare the food in small batches
according to the volume.
■Wrap food in aluminium foil or in plastic pouches, and make sure the packaging
is air-tight.
■Do not allow fresh, non-frozen food to touch food that is already frozen in order
to avoid them from rising in temperature.
■Leaner foods keep better and for longer than fatty foods. Salt reduces the storage
life of food.
■It is important to mark packaging correctly: indicate the date on which the
product was frozen and stick to the storage period stated by the manufacturer.
Advice for storing frozen store-bought products
■To properly store frozen store-bought products, you must:
– make sure that they have been correctly kept at the store;
– set aside a small minimum window of time to transport them from the food
store to your home;
– avoid opening the freezer too often and do not leave it open for longer than
necessary.
■Once unfrozen, the food spoils quickly and cannot be refrozen.
■Stick to the storage period stated by the manufacturer.
■Do not touch frozen products coming out of the freezer with wet hands, as this is
likely to cause skin abrasions or burns.
■Do not put bottles or cans of carbonated drinks in the freezer compartment, as
the pressure that builds up inside the container is likely to cause it to explode and
damage the appliance.
■Do not consume certain products such as ice lollies as soon as they come out of
the freezer, as they could cause burns.

Energy saving
■By getting rid of boxes and other packaging before putting food in the freezer,
you will reduce the energy consumption, as the freezer can chill products quicker
in this way.
■On the other hand, if you fill the appliance too much, you will push the compressor
to work for longer, which increases electricity consumption.
■Never put hot food in the freezer; allow them to cool down to room temperature
before storing them.
■To defrost certain frozen foods, you can put them in the fridge: the cold generated
by the defrosting is used to chill other foods instead of relying on the refrigerator’s
compressor.
■Keep the seal clean and flexible so that the cold cannot escape.
■Keep the lid closed and only open the freezer when necessary.
■Do not forget that every time you open the lid, cold air is lost and the compressor
will start working again.
■For optimum performance, leave enough space in the freezer to allow air to
circulate around the packages.
Impact on food storage
■Under Recommended setting, the best storage time of fridge is no more than 3
days.
■Under Recommended setting, the best storage time of freezer is no more than 1
month.
■The best storage time may reduce under other settings.
8/ CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
■Warning: unplug the appliance before any maintenance operations.
■This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its refrigerant circuit: maintenance and
replenishment must therefore only be carried out by authorised personnel.
Periodic cleaning
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Disconnect the appliance.
3. Wash the walls of the appliance and the accessories regularly with warm water
with a soft and odourless detergent (e.g. washing-up liquid).
4. Clean the lid seal carefully without forgetting to clean under the seal as well.
5. Rinse and dry the walls and accessories of the appliance carefully.
6. Plug in the appliance.
7. Switch on the appliance.
Warning: never use harsh or corrosive products, sponges with scourers or
metallic items to clean the inside or outside of your appliance. This is likely
to damage it.
Important : it is not necessary to clean the compressor area.

Defrosting the freezer
1. Defrost the freezer when the thickness of the layer of frost is around 10-15 mm.
We advise you to defrost the freezer when the appliance only partially loaded (or
empty).
To remove the frost, follow the instructions below:
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Remove the frozen foodstuffs, wrap them in several sheets of newspaper and
keep then in a cool place.
3. Place an appropriate container under the drainage hole. Open the drainage hole.
During the defrosting, check regularly that the water does not spill out of the
container.
4. Leave the lid open until the ice starts to melt. You can speed up the defrosting by
remove the layer of ice carefully using a plastic spatula.
5. Once the defrosting is complete, dry the inside thoroughly. Close the cover. Close
the drainage hole.
6. Switch on the appliance.
7. Adjust the thermostat for a colder temperature and run the appliance for two or
three hours on this setting.
8. Put the frozen products back in the compartment.
The higher temperature of the frozen food during manual defrosting, maintenance
or cleaning are likely to reduce the storage life.
In the event of prolonged absence or non-use
Take the following precautions:
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Disconnect the appliance.
3. Remove all food.
4. Defrost and clean the appliance and all the accessories.
5. Keep the lid open the entire time the appliance is not in use to avoid odours from
forming.
Important: if, however, you are unable to unplug and empty the appliance,
regularly check that it is working properly so that the food does not spoil in
the event of a power cut.
Changing the light (optional)
Any replacement or maintenance of the LED lamps must be completed by the
manufacturer, an authorized service agent or similar qualified person.

10/ WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
This product is guaranteed for a period of 12 to 24 months (as defined by local
legislation, with the period as per the till receipt) from the date of purchase, against
any fault resulting from a defect in materials or manufacturing.
This warranty does not cover damages caused by improper use or normal wear and
tear of the product.
Specifically, the warranty does not cover:
■Damage or problems caused by improper use, an accident, an alteration or power
supply of unsuitable current or voltage.
■Modified products, or those whose warranty seal or serial number is damaged,
altered, removed or oxidised.
■Replaceable batteries and accessories are guaranteed for a 6-month period.
■Battery failure, caused by excessively lengthy charging or by the failure to observe
the safety precautions explained in the manual.
■Visual damage, including scratches, dents or any other elements.
■Damage caused by any intervention conducted by a non-accredited person.
■Defects caused by normal wear and tear or due to normal ageing of the product.
■Software updates, due to a change in network settings.
■Product failures due to the use of third-party software to modify, change or adapt
the existing software.
■Product failures due to the use of accessories that have not been approved by the
manufacturer.
■Oxidised products.

The manufacturer cannot, under any circumstances, be held responsible for the loss
of data stored on the disc. Likewise, the manufacturer is not obliged to verify that
SIM/SD cards are properly removed from returned products.
Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or reconditioned components
and equipment.
METHODS FOR INVOKING THE WARRANTY
To obtain a warranty service, please bring your product to your point of sale’s
welcome desk along with your proof of purchase (till receipt, bill, etc.), the product
and the accessories provided, along with its original packaging.
It is important to have the following information: date of purchase, model, and serial
or IMEI number (this information generally appears on the product, packaging or
your proof of purchase).
Failing that, you must bring back the product along with the accessories required for
it to operate properly (power supply, adapter, etc.).
In the event that your claim is covered by the warranty, the customer service
department may, within the limits of local legislation, either:
■Repair or replace the defective components.
■Exchange the returned product for a product that has at least the same functions
and that is equivalent in terms of performance.
■Reimburse the product at the price of purchase of the product as indicated on
the proof of purchase.
If one of these 3 solutions is used, this does not entitle the purchaser to an extension
or renewal of the warranty period.

1/ CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
Avant d’utiliser cet appareil électrique, lisez attentivement
les instructions ci-dessous et conservez le mode d’emploi
pour tout usage ultérieur :
