Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this watch. It contains
important informaon on start-up and handling.
Before using the watch, read the user manual carefully.
This parcularly applies to the safety notes. Failure to observe
this user manual may result in severe injury or damage to the
watch. When abroad, you must also observe country-specic
guidelines and laws. Store the user manual for future use. If
you pass the watch on to third pares, please be absolutely
sure to include this user manual.

The watch is intended exclusively for indicang the me.
The watch is only intended for private use and not suitable
for commercial purposes. Only use the watch as described
in this user manual. Any other use is considered improper
and may result in damage to property. The manufacturer or
vendor accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or
incorrect use.

Risk associated with baeries!
The watch contains a buon cell baery. Handling the baery
improperly poses the risk of explosions or serious internal
injuries.
• Store both new and used buon cell baeries so that
they are not accessible to children.
• If you suspect that a buon cell baery has been
swallowed or otherwise incorporated, promptly consult
a physician.
• Only have the baery replaced with the same baery
type.
• Do not touch leaky baeries. If you do happen to come
into contact with baery acid, wash the aected area
thoroughly with plenty of clean water. If baery uid
comes into contact with your eyes or triggers a skin
response, you should also seek medical aenon.
• If it is no longer possible to securely close the baery
compartment with the case over, dispose of the watch as
described in the chapter „Disposal“.
• Do not charge or reacvate the baeries, do not dispose
of them in re and do not short circuit them.
• Dispose of baeries at your collecon point.

• Do not use the watch if it exhibits visible damages.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the watch.
• Protect the watch from extreme temperatures and dust.
• Do not let the watch fall down, do not expose it to shocks
and impacts and do not apply pressure to the watch.
• Do not immerse the watch in water or other liquids
for a prolonged period of me (see the chapter
„Waterghtness“).
• Always have the baery changed by a suitably qualied
person or send the watch to the service address indicated
on the warranty card to have the baery changed.

Carelessly opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other
sharp object may damage the watch or its accessories.
– Please be careful when opening the packaging.
1. Take the watch 1out of the packaging.
2. Remove the packaging and the protecve foil from the
watch. Keep the packaging materials away from children
and dispose of the materials in an environmentally
friendly manner.
3. Check whether the package content is complete and the
watch is undamaged.
4. If this is not the case, do not use the watch. Contact the
service address provided on the warranty card.
Handling
Set the me
By factory default, the watch has already been set to the cor-
rect me. If you would like to set it to a dierent me, follow
the steps below:
1. Pull the crown 2 to posion (see g. A and g. B).
2. Turn the crown unl the hands are set to the current
me.
3. Push the crown back to posion to iniate me
measurement (see g. B).
Adjust the strap
(for watches with model no. AE8-MB-101, AE8-MB-108,
AE8-MB-116, AE8-MB-120)
Open the closure on the band 3as shown in the drawing.
Open the closure clip 4 and slide to the desired length. Press
the clip down again to x the shuer (see g. C).
Waterghtness
The watch is waterght up to 3 bar. The following table
provides informaon on which acvies and condions the
watch is suitable for.
The specicaon of bar refers to the air overpressure used
in connecon with the water ghtness test for the watch in
accordance with DIN 8310.
• Water ghtness according to DIN is a design feature that
can be aected by impact, temperature uctuaons and
the inuence of fats and acids.
• Aer each intervenon in the watch, e.g. baery change,
factory overhaul, cleaning, paral repair, etc., the watch
should be checked for water ghtness.

NOTICE
It is recommended that you do not wear the watch in the
sauna as water may condense in the case due to the changes
in temperature.
• Peak pressures may occur when swimming or when
exposed to a water jet (e.g. when washing your hands).
During such acvies, aected areas of the watch will
be subjected to a signicantly greater pressure than
expected for the immersion depth.
• Only watches with a classicaon of 5 bar or more can
be considered waterght (showering allowed). Watches
with a classicaon of 10 bar can also be used when
swimming.
• Water ghtness is not a permanent property as the
sealing elements could be damaged as the result of wear
or everyday use.

Cleaning

• Do not immerse the watch in water or other liquids (see
chapter „Waterghtness“).
• Do not use any aggressive cleaners, sharp or metallic
cleaning utensils such as knives, hard scrapers of similar
items. They could damage the surfaces.
• Clean the front and back side of the watch with a so
damp, lint-free cloth or a so brush.

Changing the baery
The watch is shipped with a 1.5 V buon cell baery, which
has already been inserted. A special tool is required to change
it.
Always have the baery changed by a suitably qualied
person.

Risk of explosion if the baery is replaced improperly.
Replacement only by the same or equivalent baery type.
Observe the correct polarity when inserng the baery. Do
not short-circuit the baery!
