ADVICE AND TIPS
■ When using acomb attachment, start cutting with the largest cutting height and
then gradually reduce the set hair cutting height.
■ Record the used height setting for certain hairstyles so that you do not need to
spend time adjusting it the next time.
■ It is most effective to cut counter to the direction of hair growth.
■ Because hair grows in various directions, it is also necessary to move the hair clipper
in various directions (upwards, downwards or crosswise).
■ Repeat individual passes so that you cut also the hair that you did not cut in the
previous passes.
■ Ensure that the flat part of the comb attachment is in full contact with the scalp. This
will ensure an even haircut result.
■ To achieve good results on curly, sparse or long hair, you can try using acomb to
lead the hair towards the hair clipper.
■ Trim beards by slowly moving counter to the growth direction of the beard, going
from the bottom upwards. When trimming beards using acomb attachment, keep
in mind that the comb attachment must be in constant contact with the skin in
order to ensure an even cut. After reattaching an attachment on to the cutting unit,
do not forget to set the cutting height again.
■ Regularly clean away hair and whiskers from the cutting unit. In the event that
alarge amount of hair or whiskers accumulates in the cutting blade, take it off the
hair clipper and blow or tap the hair or whiskers out of it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
■ Turn the hair clipper off prior to cleaning it. Never clean the hair clipper when it is
charging and connected to the power supply.
■ Regular cleaning after every use will ensure its proper operation.
Attention:
This hair clipper is not designed to be washed under awater tap.
Do not spray the hair clipper or its power adapter with water or
any other liquid or submerge it in water or any other liquid.

■ If the comb attachment is mounted on the cutting unit, remove it.
■ Use the cleaning brush A11 to remove all hair and whiskers from the cutting unit.
■ Remove the cutting unit from the hair clipper according to figure D. First release the
cutting unit by applying pressure against the cutting blades in the direction from
the handle (1) and then slide out its bottom part from the cut-out in the handle (2).
Attention:
The edges of the cutting unit are sharp, pay increased attention
when handling them.
■ Use abrush to remove all hair or whiskers from the cutting unit and from the inner
area of the hair clipper underneath the cutting unit.
■ After cleaning it, attach the cutting unit back on to the handle of the hair clipper
A6, see figure E. Insert the tab on the underside of the cutting unit into the cut-out
in the handle of the hair clipper (1) and then push the cutting unit against the hair
clipper (2) until you hear an audible click.
CLEANING THE COMB ATTACHMENT
■ Clean aused comb attachment using abrush or rinse it under running lukewarm
water. After washing it, carefully wipe it with asoft, dry cloth and then allow it to
dry naturally.

very dirty, you can use alightly dampened cloth. Then thoroughly wipe the cleaned
surface dry.

lubricate the cutting unit.

of lubricating oil on to the cutting unit and spread it out evenly. Wipe off excess oil
using aclean, dry cloth.
Attention:
Store the lubricating oil away from fire sources and out of
children'sreach.
Do not ingest the lubricating oil and prevent it from coming into
contact with the eyes. If contact with the eyes does occur, rinse
them out with cold water and if necessary seek medical help.
