DESCRIPTION
The SENSIT GOLD G3 Rechargeable Battery Charging Station is used for recharging the SENSIT
GOLD G3 Rechargeable Battery (310-00034). The SENSIT GOLD G3 Rechargeable Battery
(310-00034) contains four Lithium-Ion batteries, with a nominal capacity for the complete battery
pack of 14 A-Hr.

INSTALLATION
The SENSIT GOLD G3 Rechargeable Battery Charging Station should only be installed in an
office, vehicle, or commercial space (e.g., service stations).
The Charging Station can be freestanding or mounted to a wall or a horizontal surface. The
mounting holes for vertical and horizontal mounting is show in the figure below.
The “Wall Mounting Holes” are nominally 6 mm in diameter; a M5 or #10 screw should be
used. The “Surface Mounting Holes” are nominally 5 mm; a M4 or #8 screw should be used.
Possible walls include wood, drywall, and concrete. Possible surfaces include wood, concrete,
and metal. Make sure to use proper mounting hardware suitable for the mounting wall/surface.
For vehicles and caravans, make sure to have custom mounting hardware to ensure proper
securement.
When installed in caravans or vehicles, the connection to the supply mains is to be in accordance
with national wiring standards.

SETUP
Upon receiving the Charging Station, remove the Power Supply and SENSIT GOLD G3 Charging
Station (871-00079) from the packaging with which the unit was shipped.
1. Inspect the Power Supply and supply cord. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be re-
placed by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
2. Plug the Power Supply (vehicle or wall) into the appropriate power source.
3. Plug the male connector on the Power Supply into the threaded receptacle on the left side
(with serial label facing you) of the Charging Station
4. Tighten the nut on the male connector of the Power Supply until hand tight.
INDICATOR LIGHT CONFIGURATION
YELLOW: Power connected to Charging Station
RED (solid): Charging
RED (blinking): Charge suspended (Outside allowable temperature)
GREEN (solid): Fully charged
BATTERY CHARGING: INSTALLED IN INSTRUMENT
1. Make sure the YELLOW power light is lit on the front face of the charging station (PN: 871-
00079). This indicates power is connected to the charger, and it is ready for charging.
2. Angle the G3 slightly and place the bottom of it into charging station.
3. Push the G3 forward into the charging station until the locking mechanism latches. A click
should be heard, and the latch on the right side of the G3 should pop outwards.
4. The RED light should light be solid on the front face of the charger. This indicates the instru-
ment is charging. Once charging is complete, the red light will turn off and the green light
will turn on, typically <10 hours. To remove the battery:
a. Lift the External Charging Latch.
b. Remove the battery.
BATTERY CHARGING: STAND-ALONE
1. Make sure the YELLOW power light is lit on the front face of the charging station (PN: 871-
00079). This indicates power is connected to the charger, and it is ready for charging.
2. Lift the External Charging Latch.
3. Place the bottom of the G3 battery (SENSIT PN: 310-00034) into charging station so that
the connector on the top of the battery is on the left (with respect to the front of the charger).
4. Lower the External Charging Latch such that the cutout ts around the connector at the top
of the battery pack.
5. The RED light should light be solid on the front face of the charger. This indicates the instru-
ment is charging. Once charging is complete, the red light will turn off and the green light
will turn on, typically <10 hours. To remove the battery:
a. Lift the External Charging Latch.
b. Remove the battery.

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Inspect the device whenever the device is uninstalled, and reinstalled at a new location, or once
every 6 months.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from
the manufacturer or its service agent.
To clean the unit, wipe with a damp cloth soaked in water.

WARRANTY
Your SENSIT® GOLD G3 Battery Charging Station is warranted to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of two years after purchase. The circuit board is
warranted for 5 years. If within the warranty period, your instrument should become inoperative
from such defects, the unit will be repaired or replaced at our option. This warranty covers normal
use and does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failure which results from alteration,
tampering, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance. Proof of purchase may
be required before warranty is rendered. Units out of warranty will be repaired for a service
charge. Internal repair or maintenance must be completed by a SENSIT Technologies authorized
technician. Violation will void warranty. Units must be returned postpaid, insured and to the
attention of the Service Dept. for warranty or repair. This warranty gives you specific legal rights
and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
