⚠WARNING: Charging Station shall only be used in a non-hazardous area.
⚠ WARNING: Use only GAS TRAC®LZ-30 CHARGER BASE KIT (871-00099) with the
GAS TRAC®LZ-30 Instrument (834-00000-01AA).
⚠WARNING: Do not use with any non-rechargeable batteries.
⚠WARNING: Charge only in a temperature range of 0° to 40°C (32° to 104°F).
⚠WARNING: To prevent risk of ignition of a flammable atmosphere, battery pack must only
be charged in an area known to be non-hazardous.
⚠WARNING: Charger must be used and stored in a clean, dry area.
⚠ WARNING: This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensor, or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
⚠WARNING: Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.

LZ-30 CHARGER BASE KIT
DESCRIPTION
The GAS TRAC®LZ-30 Charging Base is used for recharging the GAS TRAC®LZ-30 (834-00000-01A)
which contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack.

SETUP
Upon receiving the GAS TRAC®LZ-30 CHARGER BASE KIT (871-00099), remove it from the
packaging with which the unit was shipped.
1. Inspect the Power Supply and supply cord. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
2. Plug the Power Supply (vehicle or wall) into the appropriate power source.
3. Plug the male connector on the Power Supply into the threaded receptacle on the left side(with
serial label facing you) of the Charging Station
4. Tighten the nut on the male connector of the Power Supply until hand tight.
INDICATOR LIGHT CONFIGURATION
YELLOW: Power connected to Charger Base
RED (SOLID): Charging
RED (BLINKING): Error, Charge suspended (Outside allowable temperature)
GREEN (SOLID): Fully charged
BATTERY CHARGING: INSTALLED IN INSTRUMENT
1. Make sure the YELLOW power light is lit on the front face of the charger base (PN:871-00098).
This indicates power is connected to the charger, and it is ready for charging.
2. Insert GAS TRAC®LZ-30 into the Charger Base, bottom face down. Insert GAS TRAC®LZ-30 into
the Charger Base, bottom face down.
3. Push down until the shrapnel side clips, snap into place.
4. The RED light should be solid on the front face of the charger. This indicates the instrument is
charging.
Once charging is complete, the red light will turn off and the green light will turn on, typically <10 hours.
To remove the Instrument:
1. Hold the charger base down.
2. Pull the instrument up.
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Inspect the device whenever the device is uninstalled, and reinstalled at a new location, or once every 6
months.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the
manufacturer or its service agent.
To clean the unit, wipe with a damp cloth soaked in water.
If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the
equipment may be impaired.

WARRANTY
Your GAS TRAC®LZ-30 Charger Base Kit is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for a period of two years after purchase. The circuit board is warranted for 5 years. If within the warranty
period, your instrument should become inoperative from such defects, the unit will be repaired or replaced
at our option.
This warranty covers normal use and does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failure which
results from alteration, tampering, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance. Proof of
purchase may be required before warranty is rendered. Units out of warranty will be repaired for a service
charge. Internal repair or maintenance must be completed by a SENSIT Technologies authorized
technician. Violation will void warranty. Units must be returned postpaid, insured and to the attention of
the Service Dept. for warranty or repair.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
