UNDERSTANDING BIOMETRICS
Biometrics are methods of authenticating the identity of person based on physiological or
behavioral characteristics. Biometric fingerprint authentication refers to technology that
measure and analyzes human physical characteristics for identification and authentication
purposes.
Everyone is known to have their own unique individual fingerprints. The individuality of
each fingerprint can be determined by the pattern of ridges and furrows on the surface of
the finger as well as by the minutiae points. Minutiae points are local ridge characteristics
that occur at either a ridge bifurcation or a ridge ending. Sequiam’s leading edge
engineering group has developed its patented biometric technology to read and match
fingerprints with unmatched speed with precision accuracy.

INSTALLING THE CABLE
1. Open the BioVault 2.0 as shown in figure A.
2. Locate the small notches at the top of the BioVault 2.0 and insert one
end of the security cable into one of the notches. Then wrap the other
end around a secure (non open ended) object and insert it into the other
notch as shown in figure B.
3. Close the BioVault 2.0 as shown in figure C.
NOTE: The security cable should be used to secure the BioVault 2.0 to a restricted area. It
can be used to secure the BioVault 2.0 to a desk, bed frame, table or any other fixed object
that the cable can be looped around. Please note that although the cable is manufactured
using high strength steel it is intended to discourage and prevent a walk by theft or
unauthorized removal. It is not a theft proof device. This cable could be cut and should
not be relied on as your sole source of security against theft or burglary removal.
