TERMINATION INSTRUCTION

TERMINATION INSTRUCTIONAL
STAGE 1.
Slide the strain relief boot over the end of the cable
STAGE 2.
Using a cable stripper, strip the outer sheath approximately 50mm.

STAGE 3.
Remove the outer sheath.
STAGE 4.
Using flush cutters remove the rip cord.

STAGE 5.
Separate the conductor pairs from central spine.
STAGE 6.
Using flush cutters cut away the central spine.

STAGE 7.
Untwist all conductor pairs.
STAGE 8.
Using a straight edge, firmly straighten all conductors.

STAGE 9.
Ensure all conductors are completely straight – this is an important step
STAGE 10.
Using flush cutters, cut away excess conductor tails, leaving approximately 25mm length.

STAGE 11.
Identify the 90 degree and angled edge of the loading bar.
STAGE 12.
With the angled edge facing UP, insert the conductors into the loading bar, pin (1) and the green pair
starting on the left.

STAGE 13.
Leave approx. 5mm between the edge of the loading bar and the outer sheath of the cable –
This is an important step.
STAGE 14.
Holding the loading bar in place with your finger, using flush cutters cut away conductor excess.

STAGE 15.
Insert the cable and loading bar into the plug module. Ensure the loading bar angled edge is facing UP
STAGE 16.
Firmly push the cable into plug module.

STAGE 17.
Ensure the outer sheath has passed the crimp tool plenum compression point.
STAGE 18.
Ensure all conductors are clearly visible at the tip of the plug module. Important step

STAGE 19.
Slide the strain relief boot into the plug module.
STAGE 20.
Using an RJ45 modular crimp tool, insert the plug module into the JR45 slot and crimp the
connector.

Termination Complete – TEST AND VISUALLY CHECK TERMINATION
