wh te “wa t ng” l ght at the left s de of the
LCD d splay. Th s tells you the tun ng funct on
s engaged and you are ready to tune. Turn ng
off the tun ng funct on (by press ng the foot
sw tch aga n) w ll cause the wa t ng l ght to
d sappear from the d splay.
Str ke any note and the tuner w ll d splay
the note played and whether the note s
sharp or flat. If flat, one of the red bars on the
d splay w ll l ght up. If sharp, one of the
yellow bars on the d splay w ll l ght up. If n
tune, the green bar w ll l ght up. If the green
bar s l t and you see a br ef flash ng of the
adjacent red or yellow bar, t means the note
s just sl ghtly out of tune. Adjust the tun ng
on your nstrument to d al n a perfect tune.
PEDALBOARD NEIGHBORS
If us ng the Snark n your sound “cha n”,
please be aware that pedals w th h gh ga n or
ncorporat ng buffers that are placed adjacent
to the Snark can cause the cl ck of the Snark
foot sw tch to become accentuated. So you
may w sh to cons der where you place the
Snark n your cha n. Or you may w sh to
connect the Snark to an A/B box, to the
“tuner out” jack of your volume pedal, or to
the “stereo out” jack of one of your pedals.

POWER UP
We recommend us ng a 9-Volt adaptor to
power your Snark. However, f you plan to
power your Snark w th a 9-Volt battery,
please use the turn screw on the bottom
cover to access the battery compartment
and connect battery to the battery cl p and
re nstall the bottom cover.
If us ng 9 Volt adaptor, make sure t s a
“center negat ve” 9 Volt adaptor w th at least
100mA output and nsert nto e ther of the
DC 9 Volt jacks at the end of the pedal. If you
have a 9 Volt supply connected to one of
these jacks, you can use the other jack to
power another dev ce.
LET’S GET STARTED
Insert cable from nstrument nto the IN
jack at r ght s de of pedal. Use MUTE output
to connect pedal to your ampl f er. When you
are us ng the MUTE output jack, every t me
you step on the foot sw tch to engage the
tun ng funct on, the output from the pedal s
s lenced.
P tch Cal brat on. The tuner automat cally s
set to A440 p tch reference. If you want to
reset t, press the PITCH CAL button on the
end of the pedal, and qu ckly press e ther the
UP or DOWN button to adjust the p tch
upward or downward. If you select a p tch
other than A440, t w ll be d splayed on the
LCD whenever the foot sw tch s engaged
and the pedal s n the tun ng mode. If us ng
battery power, unplugg ng the cable from the
nput jack w ll reset the tuner to A440. If
us ng DC supply (or battery power) press
“PITCH CAL” to reset to A440.
When tun ng funct on s engaged and
cable s nserted nto IN jack, you w ll see a
