Quickstart Card HTNR16560
What’s inside:
- Sharx Security HNR / HTNR16560 Network Video Recorder
- Power cord, mouse, TV-style remote control
- Depending on model, 1 or 2 hard drives may be pre-installed in the NVR
NVR connections and power up:
- Recommended: Connect a TV with HDMI cable (or computer monitor
with 15 pin cable) to the NVR. Connect the mouse to the front USB jack.
- If you also want to view or control the NVR from your PC, Mac or mobile
devices, connect a Cat5e cable from your router to the NVR’s WAN port.
- Connect the included power cord to the NVR and to power, and make
sure the switch in the back is turned on. The NVR will beep and take a few
minutes to start up and display the initial menu on your TV or monitor.
Camera connection with Sharx HTNC and recent ONVIF S cameras:
As noted on the front of this card, plug your compatible cameras in to the
LAN ports in the back, starting with any 5 MP cameras in ports 1-4.
After a few minutes the NVR nds and displays the cameras automatically.
The red light in front of the NVR indicates recording has started as well.

Optional Network setup with NVR monitor or TV:
Simply proceed through the setup menu on the TV / monitor to set up
your NVR’s IP address or to choose DHCP for an automatically assigned IP.
Optional Network setup with a PC and no NVR monitor:
Download SmartManager software from SharxSecurity.com. It will nd
the NVR and allow you to log in with admin / admin and set a xed IP
that’s valid on your network (same rst 3 sets of digits as your router).
After this rst step you can optionally choose DHCP for an automatically
assigned IP. (In this case, remember to reserve the IP in your router).
Optional network setup with a Mac, no monitor, and no software:
Connect your Mac directly to the NVR’s WAN port. Turn Wi o, then go to
your Mac’s network preferences and set the ethernet IP to 192.168.0.100.
Type http://192.168.0.8 into your browser, log in to Setup with admin /
admin. Go to the NVR’s network menu to set the desired IP. When done,
connect the NVR and Mac back to your router (and turn Wi back on).

guide for the free Titanium apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, PC and Mac.
With Internet Explorer or previous Safari versions supporting Java it is also
possible to use the browser based web viewer but the free Titanium
software is more ecient and works on Windows 10 and Mac OS Mojave.
