invertersforthefirsttime,suchacomplexinvertermaycausetroubleswhenusingit.Sotheusers
areexpectedtoreadeachpartofthismanualcarefullysoastomastertheoperatingmethodofthe
inverter.Incasethereisanyquestion, pleasefeelfree tocontactus.
InChapter2ofthismanual,alltheseriesandthecorrespondingspecificationsofShihlinelectric
SF-TYPEinvertersarelistedindetail.Section2-5guidscustomershowtoinstall theinverterand
emphasizeson precautionsforsafety thatmuchattentionshouldbepaidtowhenutilizing the
inverter.
Chapter3guidescustomershowtousetheinverter.InSection3-1,the operatingmodeofthe
inverter isoutlinedbriefly;inSection3-2,howtousethe operationpanel isdescribed,andin

Thedefinitionsofterminologiesinthismanualareasfollows:
1. Outputfrequency, targetfrequency, steady outputfrequency
Theactualoutputcurrentfrequencyoftheinverteriscalled outputfrequency’.
•Thefrequencysetbyuser(throughanoperationpanel,multi-speedterminals,voltagesignalor
currentsignal)iscalled targetfrequency’.
•Whenthemotorstartsrunning,theoutputfrequencyoftheinverterwillgraduallyaccelerateto
thetargetfrequency, andfinallyrunsteadilyatthetargetfrequency. Theoutputfrequencyatthis
timeiscalled steadyoutputfrequency’.
2. TherearedetailedinstructionsonparametersettingsinChapter4.Incaseusersarenotfamiliar
withthesesettings,arbitraryadjustmentoftheparametermayresultinabnormaloperations.All
parameterscanberesettotheirdefaultvaluesbytheparameterofP.998.Forthesetting
procedureofthisparameter, pleaserefertoP.998inChapter4.
3. The operationmode’andthe workingmode’oftheoperationpaneltheoperatingmode
determinethereference source forthetargetfrequencyandthesignalsource forstarting.The

lettersareusedtodistinguisheachterminal, andthuscalled terminalname’.
For multi-functioncontrolterminal’and multi-functionoutputterminal’,besidestheterminal
name,the functionname’isalsonecessarytobedefined.Thefunctionnameindicatestheactual
functionsoftheterminal.

2.5.1Transport
Handling musttakethefuselage,notonlytakecoveroranypartoftheinverter,oritmaydropout
thencausedangerous.
2.5.2Stockpile
Thisproductbeforeinstalling mustbeplacedinthepackaging,ifnotuse,inordertochangethe
frequencywhichcanmeetthecompany'swarrantyscopeandfuturemaintenance,mustpayattention
tothefollowing matterswhenstorage:
1. Mustbeplacedwithoutdirt,dryplace.
2.Theenvironmenttemperaturemustbestoredpositionin-20℃to+65℃.
3. Storagelocationrelativehumiditymustfrom0%to95%range, andnocondensation.
4.Avoidstoredincontainscorrosiongas,liquidenvironment.
5.Thebestsuitablepacking onshelvesormesa.
Note：1. If meetthestandardrequirements,suchashumiditytemperaturechangesalsooccurredhurriedly
condensationandicymayoccurinthisplace, shouldbeavoided.
2. Don'tdirectlyontheground,alsoshouldbeon appropriate shelves,andifthebadsurroundings,it
shouldbeplacedinthebagofdesiccant.
3. If thecustodyperiod morethan3months,theambienttemperaturerequirementsshall notbehigherthan
30 degrees.Itistoconsidertheelectrolyticcapacitorsnoelectricitydeposited,whenhightemperature,
thecharacteristiceasydegradation.
4. Inverterinstalledinthecontroldevice ortheplatewhennotused(inconstructionwhichespeciallythe
extrahumidand dust),invertershouldbeenremove,moveputinaccordance withtheabovementioned
storageconditionsappropriateenvironments.
5. Theelectrolyticcapacitorsislong-termno electricity, thecharacteristiceasydegradation. Donotplacein
thenostateelectricitymorethanoneyear.
2.5.3EMCInstallationinstructions
Inverteristhesameasotherelectricalandelectronicequipment,whenworkinginapowersystem,
itistheelectromagneticinterference sources,andalsoistheelectromagneticreceiver.Theworking
principleofinverterdeterminesthatitwillproduce certainelectromagneticinterferenceandnoise,in
ordertoguarantee theinvertertotheelectromagneticenvironmentincertainwork,indesigned,it
musthaveacertaininterference ofelectromagneticinterferenceability.Inordertomakethedrive
systemcannormaloperation,andmeet thechallengewhichCEdeclared,pleasemeetthefollowing
severalaspectsininstallation:
1. Fieldwiring
Powerlinefrompowertransformerindependentpowersupply,generallyusesfivecoreorfour
core,forbiddenneutralandgroundshareathread.
Commonlysignalwire(weak)andpowerlines(heavy)areincontrolcabinet,toinverterr,electric
lineofforce dividedinto incoming linesandtailwire. Inwiring, signalwireandpowerlinesshould

distributedindifferentregions,inclose(within20cm), parallellinesandinterlace linesare
unallowedstrictly,andthetwocannotbetiedtogether. Ifthesignalcablemustpass throughbetween
powerlines,thetwoshouldmaintaina90 degree Angle. Theparallellinesandinterlace lineswhich
ofpowerlinecannotcrisscross wiringorbetiedtogether,especiallyinoccasionswhichnoisefilter
installed,itwillmakecouplednoisewhentheelectromagneticnoisethroughthedistributed
capacitance, thusnoisefilterwilloutofaction.
Generallythesamecontrollerwithdifferentelectricequipment,suchasinverter,filter,PLC,
measurementinstrument,itstransmitterelectromagneticnoisetoexternalandbearabilityeachare
notidentical,thisrequirestoclassifytheseequipments,theclassificationcanbedividedintostrong
noisequipment,andnoisesensitiveequipment, thesimilarequipmentmustbeinstallationinthesame
area, inhomogeneityequipmentmustbekeepdistance morethan20cm.
2. Inputnoisefilter,inputandoutputmagnetring(zerophasereactor)
Increasenoisefilterintheinput terminal,whichwillisolatetheinverterandtheotherequipment
caneffectivelyreduce theconductionandradiationability. Install theinputreactorthissynopsis
recommendation,cansatisfythelimitsvalueofconductionandradiationwhichCEdeclared.Inthe
inputandoutputterminalincreasedtheferritelateralauxiliarywillbebettereffect.
3. Shield
Goodshielding andgroundingcangreatlyreduce theinterferenceofinverter,andcanimprovethe
anti-interference abilityoftheinverter. Usingthegoodconductelectricity sheetmetalsealing, andlet
thesheetmetalgrounding, cansatisfythelimitsvalueofradiationwhichCE declared.
4. Grounding
Inverteratworkmustbesafeandreliablegrounding.Groundingisnotonlyforequipmentand
safety,butalsoisthesimplest,themostefficientandthelowestcostmethodtosolving theEMC
problem, shouldbeprioritized. Pleaserefertothe"terminalwiring"section.
5. CarrieWave
Theleakagecurrentcontainstheleakagecurrentfromlinetolineor overtheground. Itdepends on
thesizeofthecapacitance andthecarrierfrequencyofthewiring system.Thecarrierfrequencyis
higher,themotorcableislonger,thecablecross-sectionalarea islarger,andtheleakagecurrentis
largertoo. Reduce thecarrierfrequencycaneffectivelyreduce theleakagecurrent,whenalongline
ofmotor(50mabove),theoutputsideshouldbeinstalledac reactororsinewavefilter,whenthe
motorlineislonger,everydistance shouldtoinstall areactor.Atthesametime,reduce carrier
frequencycaneffectivelyreduce theconductionandradiationinterference,in2Kcarrierfrequency,
cansatisfythelimitsvalueoftheconductionandradiationwhichCE declared.
