PREPARATION OF THE SICAT FUSION BITE
QUICK GUIDE
Both during the CBCT scan and prior to recording the patient-specific mandibular movements using SICAT
JMT⁺, the patient must wear a SICAT Fusion Bite to register the 3D X-ray scan with the mandibular movement
data. The SICAT Fusion Bite must be prepared as follows:

■Always position the SICAT Fusion Bite with the groove facing upwards.
Otherwise, it will not be possible to connect it to a SICAT Fusion Bite Ad-
apter later on.
■Apply bite registration material onto the upper surface of the SICAT Fu-
sion Bite.

■Take the bite impression of the patient's maxilla. ■Apply bite registration material onto the lower surface of the SICAT Fu-
sion Bite.

■Position the SICAT Fusion Bite on the patient's maxilla and take a bite
registration of the mandible by asking the patient to bite on the ma-
terial.
■Remove excess material.
