2.4 Function test using Default PIN
A default PIN is specified on the label on the sealed envelope to enable the performance of a function test
following successful installation of the device. After switching on the power supply, enter the Default PIN and
confirm the entry by pressing the "OK" button.
The correct installation and correct entry of the Default PIN triggers an opening pulse and the door is
opened. (The Default PIN is deleted after the Door PIN has been entered once.)
The end customer can now begin programming the KFVkeyless module.

Follow the next steps to teach in a keyboard code.
Attention:
• On repetition of the procedure with the same keyboard code, the keyboard code will be deleted (see
chapter 3.1.2).
• A keyboard code, which has already been saved via the optional KFV App, cannot be taught in.
• The door PIN cannot be saved as a keyboard code.
• The programming mode is exited automatically after 3 min without any input.
• After teaching in the maximum number of 24 keyboard codes, the teaching of Bluetooth devices and/or
access via app is no longer possible!

Tip: If you want to manage the mobile phone users via the app, first allocate a name to the new mobile
phone user via the app, before you teach in further mobile phones. In this way you can avoid any mix-
up between users.
The managing of the newly taught in mobile phone user can be done via the app which has been spe-
cially developed for this purpose (see chapter 5).

3.2.2 Deleting a mobile phone
To delete a mobile phone, follow the steps specified in the following table or use the app
(see chapter 5.4.7).
Note: Deleting the connection with the "KFVkeyless" device in the Bluetooth settings on your mobile phone
is not enough to delete the mobile phone properly from the module. You will find more information on
this in chapter 3.2.4.

3.2.4 Teaching in unilaterally disconnected device again
If you only delete the connection with the "KFVkeyless" device in the Bluetooth settings on your mobile
phone, it is no longer possible to open the door, however, the connection is not deleted in the module. This
means that as soon as you and your mobile phone are in the range of the module and Bluetooth is switched
on on your mobile phone, you will receive a new pairing request on your mobile phone. The following steps
show how you can teach in your mobile phone to the module again.
The mobile phone must be deleted in the module if the further teaching in of the mobile phone and the recur-
rence of another pairing request on the phone are not required. See chapter 3.2.2. for further information.

Requirements:
– Bluetooth is activated on your mobile phone.
– You are within the range of the module.
– You have received a pairing request on the mobile phone.

The majority of the KFVkeyless settings can only be undertaken via our app which was specially developed
for this purpose (see chapter 5).
4.1 Duration of re-activation
The reactivation of KFVkeyless takes 2 seconds.
4.2 Setting user-specific range/touch function
A user-specific setting of the range and/or the touch function for opening the door can only be carried out
via app. See chapter 5.4.4. and 5.4.5. for further information
4.3 Setting lighting
The setting of the lighting mode can only be undertaken via app. See chapter 5.3.3. for further information

5 App
We recommend using the app for simple and quick adjustment of the settings and for managing users. This
app can also be used to perform user-specific settings.
The KFVkeyless app is compatible from iPhone version 4S upwards. For mobile phones with Android operat-
ing systems, Bluetooth-Standard Version 4.0 low energy support is required. Up to 6 doors can be adminis-
tered via app.
Important information:
1. You and your Smartphone must be within the range of the KFVkeyless for the administration of the
KFVkeyless and its users via app.
2. KFVkeyless remains in programming mode from the last keystroke on the keyboard or in the app.
3. As long as there is a connection between the app and KFVkeyless, set to programming mode, the door
can be opened via the menu item "Open door".
4. Access to KFVkeyless via the app on KFVkeyless cannot be gained from several devices simultaneously.
5.1 Setting up App – 1. Introduction
To use the app for KFVkeyless, you must first set it up as described below:
1. Load the purchased app into your Smartphone. The app is available under the name "KFVkeyless" for
iPhones and Android Smartphones in the relevant Appstore.
2. Switch on Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
3. Start the app. (a license check is carried out with Android, an Internet connection is required for this.)
4. Click the "Setup" button.
5. Enter your chosen password (max. 15 digits) and confirm.
6. You can now use the app to manage the module and the users. (see following chapter)
5.2 Setting up a door in app
This module must be set up as a door in the app in order to manage KFVkeyless and its users.
The necessary steps are described in detail in the table below.
Note: It is not essential to teach in your mobile phone as described in chapter 3.2.1, to set up a door in the
app with your Smartphone. This can also be done in the course of the "Set up a door" function via
the app.
However, for iPhones, we recommend that you first teach in the mobile phone in accordance with
chapter 3.2.1.

4. Confirm the procedure by clicking "Save settings".
Note: If the touch function is deactivated and and you are within the range following the automatic unlock-
ing of the door, you will automatically change over to the activated touch mode, meaning that it is
unnecessary to leave the range to achieve renewed door opening. Opening the door by touching
the "OK" button of the keyboard code is possible from this moment. As soon as you exit the range,
