- A representative of the manufacturer of the Navigation system should be on site for
startup support.
- ARCADIS System Software VB 10C or higher
- TCP/ IP type crossover cable for a direct connection to the Navigation system (not
included in the shipment)
- TCP/ IP cable for a connection to the Navigation system via the clinical network
(not included in the shipment)
- 2D Navigation license key, part no.: 044 986 01
- Toolkit

Installation of TCP / IP cable 0
•Connect the TCP/IP crossover cable to the monitor trolley and the 2D Navigation sys-
tem (see figure below).
NOTE If the ARCADIS system is connected to the Navigation system via
the clinical network, the connection may be affected by heavy net-
work traffic.

•Switch on the system.
•Click <Options>-<Service>-<Local Service>.
•Enter the password and click <ok>.
•Click <Configuration>.
•"Attached to Network" and "Dicom Networking" must be selected.
•Click <Next>.

•Under "DICOM", click <Network Nodes>.
Select "define new" under "Select Host".
•Enter the Host Name of the Navigation system under "Host Properties". Note: "naviga-
tionsys" in the figure below is only an example.
•Ensure that the Navigation system is connected and ready.
•Click "Find" to check whether the host is alive and ensure that the TCP/IP address of
the Navigation system appears in the address field.
•Click <Save>.
•Click ">".

•Select "define new" under "General Node Properties" to edit the logical name
"NAV2D_XXX" (XXX = logical name of Navigation system).
NOTE If the ARCADIS system is also connected to a 3D Navigation sys-
tem, the logical name should be "NAV3D_XXX" (XXX = logical
name of Navigation system).
•Edit the DICOM AE Title of the Navigation system under "Application Entity Proper-
ties". "Note: "NAVISYSTEM" in the figure below is only an example.
•Under Port Number, edit "104" if necessary. If port no. 104 does not work, check if the
Navigation system uses e.g. port 105.
•Click <Add>.
•Click <Verification> to check if the "AE Title" is alive.
•Select <Storage> under "Supported DICOM services".
•Click <Save>.
