Before operating the
appliance
Read the instruction and installation
manual carefully.
Theycontain importantinformation on
settingup, using, and maintainingthe
appliance.
Retain all documents for later use or
for subsequentowners.
Safety
The appliance contains a small
amountof the refrigerantR600a, which
is environmentallyfriendlybut
flammable.Make sure thatthe
refrigerantcircuitpipes are not
damaged duringtransportor fitting. If
refrigerantsprays out, itcan cause eye
injuries or ignite.
In the eventof damage:
nKeep open flames or sources of
ignition awayfrom the appliance,
nVentilate the room well for a few
minutes,
nSwitch off the appliance and
unplugitfrom the mains,
nInform customer service.
The more refrigerantthe appliance
contains, the greater the space
requirements for the room where itis
installed.If the room is too small, a
flammable gas/air mixture may
accumulate if there is a leak.
The room mustbe atleast1m3large
per 8gof refrigerant. The quantity of
refrigerantin the appliance is stated on
the nameplate inside the appliance.
If the appliance’s mains cable is
damaged, itmustbe replaced bythe
manufacturer, customer services, or a
similarlyqualified person.Improper
installation and repair jobs can place
the user in considerable danger.
Repairs mayonlybe carried outbythe

During operation

Installation notes
Transport and installation
This appliance is heavy and mustbe
secured duringtransportand fitting.
!Warning!
This appliance is veryheavy. If the
appliance falls over duringtransport
and installation work, itcan cause
serious injuries.At leasttwo people are
required to install the appliance safely.
Keep the doors of the appliance shut
until the appliance is positioned and
level atits installation location.
Installation location
The appliance should be placed in a
dryroom thatcan be ventilated.The
installation location should not be
directlyexposed to the sun and should
not be near a heatsource such as a
stove or radiator.If installation nextto a
heatsource is unavoidable, use a
suitable insulatingplate or maintain the
followingminimum distances from the
heatsource:
n3cm from an electric or gas
cooker,
n30cm from oil or solid fuel cookers.
If the appliance is beinginstalled next
to another refrigerator or freezer,
maintain a minimum distance between
the sides of the two appliances of
25mm.This prevents the formation of
condensation.
If there is a cover or cupboard above
the appliance, there mustbe a gap of
10mm to enable the appliance to be
pulled outif necessary.
The heated air mustbe able to escape
unimpeded from the rear of the
appliance.
If the appliance is beinginstalled in the
corner of a room or in a niche, the
minimum required gaps (see section
"Device and installation dimensions")
atthe sides of the appliance mustbe
observed sothatthe doors can be
opened all the way.
If adjacentkitchen units are deeper
than 75 cm, the minimum required

order to enable the entire door opening

The heated air mustbe able to escape

refrigeratingunithas to workharder,
which increases the appliance’s power

never cover or blockthe ventilation
openings.
Installing and
connecting up the
appliance
nThe appliance mustbe installed
and connected up bya specialistin
accordance with these assembly
instructions.
nOnce the appliance has been
positioned, waitatleast8hours
before pluggingin the mains cable.
The oil in the compressor can shift
to the refrigeration system during
transport.
nBefore startingthe appliance up for
the firsttime, clean its interior (see
section Cleaningthe appliance").
nThe water line mustbe connected

If the water pressure is more than
8.2bar, a pressure reducingvalve

maker will not work.

The taste and smell of the water can

In nocircumstances maythe
appliance be connected up to an

Sine− and line−commutated inverters
can be used with our appliances.In
the case of isolated installations in
holidayhomes or on boats, for
example, you mustuse a
sine−commutated inverter.
Aligning the appliance
Information!
So thatitfunctions properly, the
appliance mustbe setlevel usinga
spiritlevel.
An improperlyaligned appliance can
resultin water runningoutof the ice
maker, ice cubes of differentsizes
beingmade, or the doors not closing
properly.
1. Place appliance atthe intended
location.
2. Unscrewthe three screws on the
base panel.
3. Remove the base panel.
4. Use an Allen keyto screwthe two
frontfeetoutuntil theystand firmly
on the ground and align the
appliance atthe front.
5. Use an Allen keyto turn the screws
and align the appliance atthe rear.
Raise the appliance atthe rear:
Turn the screwclockwise.
Lower the appliance atthe rear:
Turn the screwanticlockwise.
6. Checkfor horizontal alignmentof
the appliance usinga spiritlevel.
Information!
The frontfeetmuststand firmlyon the
ground sothatthe appliance does not
roll away.
7. If the fridge compartmentdoors or
freezer drawer have an uneven
heightor are on a slantonce the
appliance has been aligned, align
them as described below.

Aligning the fridge
compartment door
If the top and bottom edgesof the
two fridge compartment doorsare
not at the same level, proceed as
follows:
1. Determine which fridge
compartmentdoor needs to be
raised.
2. Use the nuton the lower mountto
alignthe fridge compartmentdoor.
To raise the fridge compartment
door:
Turn the screwanticlockwise.
To lower the fridge compartment
door:
Turn the screwclockwise.
If the fridge compartment doorsare
on a slant, proceed asfollows:
!Warning!
Riskof electric shock!
Before removingthe top panel:
interruptthe supplyof water to the
appliance.Pull outthe mains plugor
disable the fuse.
1. Determine which fridge
compartmentdoor needs to be
adjusted.
2. Unscrewthe five screws on the top
panel.
3. Raise the panel.
4. Loosen the screws.
Donot take the screws out!
5. Align the fridge compartmentdoor
bymovingthe mountto the side.
6. Tighten the screw.
7. Position the panel.
8.Position and tighten the five
screws.
Aligning the freezer
drawer
1. Determine which side needs to be
adjusted.
2. Loosen the two screws.
Donot take the screws out!
3. Align the freezer drawer usingthe
top screw.
4. Tighten the two screws.
Attaching the handles
Onlyattach the handles once the
appliance has been positioned in its
installation location and has been
aligned sothatitis level.
All of the handles are the same.
There are two protective sheets
enclosed with the appliance for
attachingand removingthe handles.
These sheets can be reused.
The protective sheets protectthe
surfaces duringthe attachmentand
removal of the handles.
Information!
If the handles are incorrectly
positioned, theycannot be pushed in
the specified direction.
Position the handles properlyas
follows:
Itmustbe possible to push the
handles for the fridge compartment
doors downwards.
Itmustbe possible to push the handle
for the freezer compartmentdrawer to
the right.
If the handles are hard to push,
carefullytap them with a rubber
hammer.
1. Remove the protective sheets from
the fridge compartmentdoors and
the freezer compartmentdrawer.
2. Attach the protective sheets.

3. Position the handles for the fridge
compartmentdoors on the guides.
4. Slide the handles downwards until
theysnap into place.
5. Attach the protective sheets.
6. Place the handle for the freezer
compartmentdrawer onto the
guides.
7. Slide the handle to the rightuntil it
snaps into place.
8.Remove the protective sheets and
keep them for reuse.
Removing the handles
Information!
To avoid scratchingthe surface, attach
the protective sheeta little below the
handle sothatitis not pushed to the
side bythe handle.
1. Attach the protective sheets as
follows:
nTo the fridge compartmentdoors
above the guides.
nTo the freezer compartment
drawer to the leftof the guides.
2. Push the handles for the fridge
compartmentdoors upwards and
remove them.
3. Push the handle for the freezer
compartmentdrawer to the leftand
remove it.
4. Remove the protective sheets and
keep them for reuse.
Fitting the base panel
1. Unscrewthe three screws on the
device.
2. Position the base panel.
3. Position and tighten the three
screws.

Noteson using the
appliance
Opening and closing the
fridge compartment doors
The fridge compartmentdoors can be
opened and closed independentlyof
one another.
There is a hinged door struton the
left−hand door of the fridge
compartment.
Information!
The door strutcan be damaged if you
tryto close the left−hand fridge
compartmentdoor when the door strut
is folded out.
Before closingthe fridge compartment
doors, ensure thatthe door strutis
folded in ata rightangle to the door.
When you close the left−hand fridge
compartmentdoor, the door strutfolds
behind the right−hand fridge door and
forms the seal between the doors.
Switching on the
appliance
Information!
Followingthe installation of the

Noteson using the
appliance
When the freezer compartmenthas
reached its freezingtemperature, water
flows into the ice maker and freezes to
form ice cubes.The finished ice cubes
are automaticallydischarged into the
ice cube container.
Occasionally, the ice cubes stick
together.Duringtransportto the
openingwhere theyare discharged,
theyusuallyseparate automatically.
Once the ice cube container is full, the
ice maker switches off automatically.
The ice maker can produce up to 100
ice cubes in 24 hours assumingthat
ice cubes are removed several times a
day. The quantity produced depends
on the room temperature and the
appliance’s temperature setting.
When ice is beingproduced, you can
hear the water valve, the sound of the
water flowinginto the ice bowl, and
the sound of the ice cubes falling
down once theyhave been produced.

Donot putbottles or food for fast
coolinginto the ice cube container.
The ice maker can become blocked
and damaged.
Pay attention to the
quality of the drinking
water

The supplied water filter onlyfilters out
particles from the supplied water, and

All materials used in the water
dispenser are odourless and tasteless.
If the water has an aftertaste, itmaybe
for the followingreasons:
nMineral and chlorine contentof the
drinkingwater,

water is drawn for a longtime, the
water can taste somewhatstale.If
this happens, drawand discard
around 15 glasses of water.
The taste and smell of the water can
be improved bythe installation of the
supplied water filter in the water inlet.

1. Hold a suitable container under the
ice and water dispenser.
2. Press the water dispenser button
until the required quantity of water
is in the container.
Tip:
The water from the water dispenser is
cooled to the proper temperature for
drinking. If colder water is desired,
place ice cubes in your glass before
drawingthe water.
Dispensing ice
Information!
Onlypress the button for dispensing
ice cubes or crushed ice longenough
to fill half the container with ice.
Otherwise, the ice in the ice cube
dispenser openingcan cause the
container to overflow or can blockthe
ice cube dispenser opening.
If crushed ice is dispensed prior to
dispensingice cubes, there maystill
be some crushed ice in the ice cube
dispenser opening. This is dispensed
alongwith the firstlot of ice cubes.
1. Hold a suitable container under the

2. Press the ice cube or crushed ice
dispenser button until the required
quantity of ice is in the container.
Ice tray
The ice trayis for storingice cubes
thatare not required straightawayin
the freezer compartment. Thanks to its
shape, the ice trayfits neatlyinto the
ice and water dispenser.
Shutting down the ice
maker
Information!
You mustinterruptthe water supplyto
the appliance several hours before
shuttingdown the ice maker.
If you donot intend to use anyice
cubes for longer than one week(e.g.
because you are goingon holiday), the
ice maker should be shutdown for
thatperiod in order to preventthe ice
cubes from freezingtogether.
1. Press the release button and
remove the ice cube container.
2. Switch off the on/off switch behind
the ice cube container (0).The ice
maker is now turned off.
3. Empty and clean the ice cube
container.
4. Push the ice cube container right
backon the supports until itsnaps
into place.

You can procure a filter cartridge for
the water filter from customer services.
Change the filter cartridge atleast
every6months.
After 6months, the flashingwater filter
symbol prompts you to replace the
filter cartridge (see section "Water filter

Caution!
Donot use the appliance in places

questionable or not sufficientlyknown
withoutproperlydisinfectingbefore
and after filtering.
Deviating connection
conditions
Filter cartridges cannot be integrated if
the water pressure is above 8.2 bar.
Apressure reducingvalve mustbe
fitted if the water pressure is above
5.5bar.
Importantinformation
nIf the appliance has not been used
for an extended period of time or if
the water has an unpleasanttaste
or smell, flush outthe water
