INTRODUCTION:
The Sigma Myriad ‘ROS’ (Remote Operator Station) i a microproce or ba ed, tate of the art, Remote
Operator Station for remote monitoring of variable peed drive , control valve or imilar control device .
The ROS i u ed with a primary mea uring device who e output ignal i compatible with common
analog output 4/20MA, 0-5VDC, 1-5VDC, and 0-10VDC.
Speed or proce information i di played in numeric format on the ROS’ graphic LCD di play along
with the current value of the analog output.
All a pect of the unit are u er configurable through the ‘plain Engli h’ menu and combination of the
5 u er data key pu h button .
Available in 2 tyle of mounting, ¼ DIN (4” x 4” nominal) and wall mounted Nema 4X enclo ure , the
Myriad ROS i uitable for in tallation in all indu trial environment .

PROGRAMMING & SETUP
The Myriad ROS utilize a ‘plain Engli h’ menu driven etup creen which are intuitive and ea ily
under tood.
From the default creen (Fig. 1), pu h the ‘Enter’ button to enter the pa word protected menu .
MAIN DISPLAY
NOTE: To ‘RETURN’ to the main display from any other screen, scroll to ‘EXIT’ and press
‘ENTER’.
ANALOG OUTPUT CONTROL
Pre the ↑ key to increa e and the ↓ to decrea e the analog output value. Thi value i di played on
the main di play a ‘%’ and i output on AOUT1 a a 4-20MA ignal.
Enter u er elected pa word, then with and arrow button , move cur or to ‘next’
Pre ‘ENTER’ to acce menu.

INPUT RANGE SELECTION
With the ‘SCALE’ election highlighted by the cur or, pre ‘ENTER’ to acce the input cale menu.
U e the Up/Down arrow button to elect the de ired analog input range. NOTE: INPUT TYPE MUST
BE CO-ORDINATED WITH INPUT SELECTOR SWITCH LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM OF
THE CIRCUIT BOARD (See Appendix ‘A’).
Pre ‘ENTER’ to ave and move to decimal point election creen.
Decimal Point Selector Screen
The cur or will be po itioned over the decimal count window, u e the Up/Down arrow button to rai e or
lower the unit number to the left of the decimal point. (The example hown in thi window will change
with your election.)
U e the button to move the cur or to the number behind the decimal point and the
Up/Down button to change thi election. Once again the example will change to confirm your election.
U e the button to highlight the ‘NEXT’ election and pre ‘ENTER’ to acce the Input
Scale Screen.

NOTE: Thi creen et what the Myriad ROS di play in it ‘default creen’ for the elected input.
The default hown above will di play 0.0 unit when the input i 4.00 MA. Both the input and the
di play can be changed for different requirement .
A) With the cur or electing ‘INPUT = 4.00’ u e the button to change the input value for the
required di played value.
B) U e the button to move the cur or to the ‘di play’ value and the Up/Down button to
change the de ired di play for the previou ly elected input. Once complete, croll to ‘SAVE’, pre
‘ENTER’ to acce ‘INPUT SCALE 2’ creen.
Follow the tep outlined above to et the value of ‘input’ and ‘di play’ for input Scale 2.
NOTE: IF THE APPLICATION IS A LINEAR ONE BETWEEN THE INPUT SIGNAL MIN. TO
MAX. VALUES THEN HIGHLIGHT THE ‘DONE’ ITEM AND PRESS ‘ENTER’ TO SAVE THE
SCALED VALUES.
ENGINEERING UNITS SELECTION:
When ‘Scale Menu’ i complete the ‘INPUT TEXT” menu i the la t menu in the caling proce .

U e the ↑ ↓ key to elect the de ired engineering unit then with the → ← key , highlight ‘NEXT’ and
pre ‘ENTER’ to acce the “di play filter” creen.

U e the ↑ ↓ key to change the amount of filtering applied to the input ignal. ‘O’ i no filter and ‘10’ i
high filter.
Once the election i made elect ‘NEXT’ and pre ‘ENTER’ to return to ‘Menu 1’.
The caling proce i now complete.
ANALOG OUTPUT PROGRAMMING
From Menu 1 elect ‘AOUT’ by highlighting with the cur or a previou ly de cribed. Once elected
pre ‘ENTER’ to acce the analog output configuration creen.
U ing the button a de cribed previou ly, elect and adju t the value required for the analog output.
Both the output value and the di play value for that output can be elected. When complete, elect
‘NEXT’ and pre ‘ENTER’.
Thi will bring up the caling window for analog output Point 2, which i et a before. When complete,
croll to ‘DONE’ and pre ‘ENTER’ to return to Menu 1.
NOTE: The internal HORN will sound when the output setpoint is reached. To prevent the horn
from sounding, highlight the ‘Y’ symbol adjacent to the horn symbol and use the Up/Down buttons
to change the value to ‘N’ (NO). This will prevent the horn from sounding when the setpoint is
reached.
Once all value are elected, croll to ’NEXT’ pre ‘ENTER’ to move to the #2 etpoint creen and
proceed a de cribed above.

When both etpoint are configured, croll to ‘EXIT’ and pre ‘ENTER’ to return to the ‘Main Menu’.
Select the ‘CLR’ to re et the e value to the current proce value and ‘EXIT’ and ‘ENTER’ to return to
the main creen.
MENU 1 ‘PASSWORD’
All acce to the programmable function are pa word protected. To change the unit’ acce pa word,
Select the ‘PASSWORD’ block in menu 2, pre ‘ENTER’ and u ing the Up/Down button , enter a new
numerical pa word.
Scroll to ‘EXIT’ to return to the main creen.
CAUTION: ENSURE THAT A RECORD IS KEPT OF THE PROGRAMMED PASSWORD.
ACCESS IS RESTRICTED TO ALL PROGRAMMABLE PARAMETERS WITHOUT THE
CORRECT PASSWORD.
MENU 1 ‘DEFAULT’
The ‘Default’ creen allow the operator to et a value that the analog output ‘default ’ to at ‘Power Up’.
U e the → button from the Menu 1 creen to croll to ‘DEFAULT’ and pre ‘ENTER’. The cur or will
be highlighting the analog output value in percentage (%), that will output from the ROS at power up.
U e the ↑ ↓ button to elect the de ired value and ‘NEXT’ to return to Menu 1.
Scroll to ‘EXIT’ and pre ‘ENTER’ to return to the main creen.

MENU 2 DIGITAL OUTPUT PROGRAMMING
The Myriad ROS ha 2 olid tate output , which can be configured to et ‘TURN ON’ and re et ‘TURN
OFF’ at a u er defined value of the input. From Menu 1 elect ‘OUTPUTS’ and pre ‘ENTER’.
U ing the button croll to the value at which the output ‘SETS’ or turn on, with thi value highlighted,
u e the Up/Down button to enter a value of input to activate the output. Scroll down to the ‘RESET’
point and again change thi value to input value, which will turn the digital OUTPUT 1 off.
