SP-UCH4+ User Guide
4-Station Smart Charger with Display
The SP-UCH4+ is a brand new universal charger for Li-Ion batteries. This intelligent fast charger includes an LED display
allowing real-time user control of all charging operations. Up to four identical or different model batteries can be charged
simultaneously. Up to twenty SP-UCH4+ can be daisy-chained using a single 230 VAC power source.

When charger is turned on:
Batteries are in charging mode, each cup is individually controlled.
Battery information display for each cup can be navigated by pressing

« Charge Mode » : Battery Charge Commencing
Charge in Progress Fully Charged
« Capacity Check » : Capacity Check Mode. Batteries are first charged, then fully discharged and
recharged in order to calculate capacity percentage results. Batteries with less than 60% capacity
should be recycled.

« Batteries Manufac » : displays additional information for batteries containing I2C component.
« Switchs Config » : displays the correct position of switches under the cup according to battery

Error message : 3 possible defects
Over temperature : battery overheating (only indicated on adaptor cups fitted with
temperature sensor)
Low energy : battery no longer charge, voltage too low
Critical charge timeout : charging time longer than normal
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

•DANGER – To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, carefully follow these instructions
•For connection to a supply, use a power cord of the proper configuration for the power outlet. This battery multi-charger is intended
to be correctly oriented horizontally on floor mount position.
CAUTION
•Charge only compatible Li-Ion rechargeable batteries. Non-rechargeable and other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury
and damage.
•When removing batteries, allow them to cool first, batteries may be hot
•Risk of electric shock. Use and storage only in a dry and cool place.
•Do not operate charger if it has been damaged.
•To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
•Be sure to use charger with correct voltage : AC 100-240 V
•Do not insert any objects (such as screwdriver or metal wires) into the charger. Do not modify or disassemble.
•If something appears wrong with the charger and/or batteries, disconnect from the electric outlet immediately.
•Keep out of reach of children. Children may use only under strict adult supervision.
Waste electrical and electronic equipement labeling
In Europe : for human/environmental protection, it is your responsability to dispose of this equipment at a collection facility established for
this purpose (separate from municipal waste). For more information, please contact your retailer.
WARRANTY
Limited warranty
SILVERBACK warrants its electronic products and accessories (excluding batteries), to be free from malfunctions and defects in both
materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase.
Limited warranty coverage
Warranty service is only available from within the country where the products were originally purchased. You may be required to ship
products, at your expense, to the autorized service facility for the country where the products were purchased. SILVERBACK will repair or
replace products if they fail to function properly during the warranty period, subject to any conditions and/or limitations stated herein.
Warranty service will include all labor as well as any necessary adjustments and / or replacement parts. If necessary, the product can be
replaced with a remanufactured product for which parts and materials are warranted for the remaining warranty term of the original
product, or 90 days after the date of repair or replacement, whichever is longer.
Limitations
This warranty does not cover circumstances beyond SILVERBACK’s control, and does not apply when failure is due to shipping damage,
accident, alteration, modification, unauthorized service, misuse, abuse, use with incompatible accessories, failure to follow SILVERBACK’s
operation, maintenance or repacking instructions, failure to use items supplied by SILVERBACK, or claims made after the duration of this
warranty.
