BeforeSwitchingOn
•Wait after3hoursbeforepluggingtheapplianceintothemainpower
toensureproperperformance.
•Therecanbean odourwhenyoufirstswitch on the appliance.Itwill
disappearafterthe appliancestartstocool.
InstallationandSwitching OnTheAppliance
•Thisapplianceisconnecting to220-240Vor200-230Vand50 Hz.Pleasecheck
nameneplateofapplianceandbesurevoltagerangesuitabletoyourmainsvolt-
age.
•Youcan askhelpfromtheservice toinstallandswitchingontheappliance.
•Beforemakingthe connectiontothepowersupply,ensurethatthevoltageon the
nameplatecorresponds tothe voltageofelectricalsysteminyourhome.

•Theappliancemustbestandfirmlyandlevelonthe floorUse

•The outside ofthe applianceand the accessoriesinsideshouldbecleaned witha
solution ofwaterand liquidsoap;theinside ofthe appliance withsodiumbicarbon-

ThermostatSetting
Combi ModelswithSingleCompressor
The freezerandrefrigeratorthermostatsautomaticallyregulates theinside tempera-
tureofthecompartments.Byrotatingtheknobfromposition1to5,coldertemperatures
canbeobtained.“0”position showsthermostatisclosedandno coolingwill beavail-
able.
FreezerThermostatSetting;
0: Theapplianceisswitchedoff.
1-2:For short-termstorageof foodinthe freezercompartment,you canset theknob
betweenminimumandmediumposition.
3-4:Forlong-termstorageoffood inthefreezercompartment, youcansetknob to
mediumposition.
5:Forfreezing the freshfood.Theappliancewillrunforcoldertemperatures.
Freezing withSuperFreeze(SFbutton): Press theSF button,thefreezerwillstart to
runcontinuouslywithmaximumperformance(observethatthe SFlampwilllightonor-
angewhen youturnon theSF button).The freezertemperaturewill decreaseand the
appliance will switchtothe lowesttemperature.
Place the foodtobefrozenquicklyinsidethefreezer,preferablyinthetop drawers.
Oncethefoodisfrozen,you mustturnofftheSF button and setthe thermostatknob to
desiredposition.

1-2: Forshort-termstorage of foodinthefreezercompartment, you canset theknob
betweenminimumandmediumposition.
3-4: Forlong-termstorage offoodinthe freezercompartment,youcan setknob

Superfreezelight(SFlight): Lightsorange,when theSFbutton isturnedon.
Powerlight: Lightsgreenautomatically,when theappliance isconnectedtothepower
supply.
Alarmlight: Lightsred,when thetemperaturerises toacriticalpointinside thefreeze.
Turning OnTheAppliance
Oncetheappliancehasbeen connected tothepowersupplymakesurethatthe green
lampison.Thenturntherefrigeratorthermostatdialandthe freezerthermostatdialto
positions between 2-4.(Notethat;forbestinternaltemperaturetheindicatorintherefrig-
eratorandfreezerthermostatshouldbe positioned between2and4.)
•Whenyoufirstswitchontheappliance,forstarting asuitablecooling,theappliance
shouldwork24hourscontinuouslyuntilit coolsdowntosufficienttemperature.
•During thistimedo notopen thedoorfrequentlyand donotplacealotoffood inside
theappliance.
•Iftheunit isswitchedoff orunplugged,you mustallowatleast5minutesbefore
restartingorre-pluggingthe unitinordernottodamagethe compressor.

RefrigeratorCompartment
•Toreduce humidityand consequentincrease offrostneverplaceliquids inunsealed
containersinthe refrigerator.Frosttends toconcentrateinthe coldestpartsofthe
evaporatorandintimewillrequiremorefrequentdefrosting.
•Neverplacewarmfoodintherefrigerator.Warmfoodshouldbeallowedtocoolat
roomtemperatureandshouldbearrangedtoensureadequateaircirculation inthe
refrigeratorcompartment.
•Nothingshouldtouchtorefrigeratorbackwallas itwillcausefrostand the packages
can stickhere.Donotopen therefrigeratordoortoofrequently.
•Arrangethemeatandcleanedfish(wrappedinpackagesorsheetsofplastic)which
youwill use in1-2days.
•Youcanputthe fruitsandvegetables intocrisperwithoutpacking.
FreezerCompartment
•Theuseoffreezeris,storingofdeep-frozenorfrozenfoodforlongperiodsoftime
andmakingice cubes.
•Donotputfreshandwarmfoodtothefreezerdoorshelves tobefrozen.Onlyuse for
storageoffrozenfood.
•Donotputfreshandwarmfoodwithfrozenfoodsidebyside asitcanthawthefrozen
food.
•Whilefreezingfreshfood(i.e.meat,fishandmincemeat)dividetheminpartsyou
willuseinone time.
•Forstoringthefrozenfood; theinstructionsshownonfrozen food packages should
alwaysbefollowedcarefullyand ifno information isprovided food shouldnotbe
stored formorethan 3months fromthepurchaseddate.
•Whenbuyingfrozenfood ensurethatthese havebeenfrozenatsuitabletempera-
turesandthatthepackingisintact.
•Frozen foodshouldbe transportedinappropriatecontainerstomaintainthequality
ofthe food and shouldbereturned tothefreezingsurfaces oftheunitinthe shortest
possibletime.
•Ifapackage offrozenfoodshowsthesignofhumidityandabnormalswellingit is
probablethatithasbeenpreviouslystoredatan unsuitabletemperatureand that
the contentshave deteriorated.
•Thestoragelifeoffrozen food dependson theroomtemperature,thermostatset-
ting,howoftenthe doorisopened,thetype offood and thelengthoftimerequiredto
transport theproductfromtheshop toyourhome.Alwaysfollowthe instructions
printed onthe packageandneverexceed themaximumstorage lifeindicated.
•Use the fastfreezingshelftofreezehomecooking (andthefoodwhich iswantedto
freeze)morequicklybecause ofthefreezingroom’sgreaterfreezing power.Fast

•Donotcleantheappliancebypouring water.
•Therefrigeratorand freezercompartmentshouldbecleaned
periodicallyusing asolution ofbicarbonateofsoda andluke-
warmwater
•Cleantheaccessories separatelywithsoap andwater.
Donotcleantheminthe washingmachine.
•Donotuseabrasiveproducts,detergentsorsoaps. After
washing,rinse withcleanwaterand drycarefully.When
thecleaning operations have beencompletedreconnect
theplug oftheunitwithdryhands.
•Youshouldclean thecondenser(backoftheappliance)withbroomones ayearin
ordertoprovideenergysavingand increase the productivity.
THEPOWERSUPPLYMUST BE DISCONNECTED.
Defrosting refrigeratorcompartment
•Defrosting occursautomaticallyinrefrigeratorcompartmentduring operation;the
defrostwateriscollectedbytheevaporatingtray andevaporatesautomatically.
•Theevaporatingtrayandthedefrostwaterdrainholeshouldbecleanedperiodically
withdefrostdrainplugtopreventthewaterfromcollectingonthebottomofthere-
frigeratorinstead offlowingout.
•You canalsopour½glassofthewatertodrainholetoclean inside.

DefrostingtheFreezerCompartment:
WARNING:Neverusesharpmetaltools,unlessrecommendedbymanufacturer,for
thisoperationastheycan damage the refrigerationcircuit.
Afteraperiodoftime,frostwillbuildupincertainareasinthefreezercompartment.
Thefrost,accumulatedinthe freezercompartment,shouldberemoved periodically(use
theplasticscraperifavailable).
Completedefrostingwill becomenecessaryifthefrostlayerexceeds3-5mmtomain-
taintheefficiencyofthe freezer.
•Theday beforeyoudefrost,setthethermostatdialtoposition “5”tofreeze the foods
completely.
•During defrosting,frozenfoodsshouldbewrappedinseverallayersofpaperand
keptinacoolplace.Theinevitablerise intemperaturewillshortentheirstorage life.
Remembertousethesefoods withinarelativelyshortperiodoftime.
•Setthe thermostatknob toposition“0”and switchofftheappliance.
•Leavethedooropentoacceleratedefrosting.Removethedefrostwaterfromthe
compartment.
•Thisapplianceisprovidedwithaspecialdrainsystem.
1.Pulloutthe bottomdrawer(A) ofthefreezercompartmentandput/tonthe
flooraligning ittothecabinetfront.
2. Pull outthe drainpipe(B) placed onthebackwallofthefreezercompartment.
Thenplaceit inthegroove onthefrontsideoftheflooroftheappliance.

sponge,
•Cleantheinteriorbyhandwithlukewarmwaterandalittledetergent. Neveruse
abrasive productsoraggressive cleaningagents.
•Drythe inside oftheunit,plug onthemains,andsetthethermostatknobtoposition
“5”. After24hours,resetthe thermostattothedesiredposition.

TransportationandChanging ofInstallation Position
•Theoriginalpackagesand foamed polystyrene(PS)canbe concealedifrequired.
•Intransportationtheapplianceshouldbetiedwithawidestripeorastrong rope.
Theruleswrittenonthe corrugated boxmustbeapplied whiletransporting.
•Beforetransportingorchangingoldinstallationposition,allthemoving objects(i.e.,
shelves,crisper…)shouldbetaken outorfixedwithbandsinordertopreventthe
shake.
ChangingofDoorOpeningDirection
Incase you need tochangedoor-openingdirection,please consultthe domesticafter
salesservice.
ReplacingtheRefrigeratorLightBulb
1. Unplugtheunitfromthepowersupply,
2. Removetherefrigeratorlight cover(A)bypressing the
hooks placedbothsidesofthecover.
3. Change thepresentlightbulb(B)withanewone(not
morethan15 W).
4. Placethe lightcoverinitsplaceandplug the unit.

thefollowing,beforecallingan electriciantosave timeandmoney.

Check that;
•Thereisnopower,(Greenlampisoff)
•Thegeneralswitchinyourhomeisdisconnected,
•The thermostatsettingison«0»position,
•The socketisnotsufficient. Tocheck this,pluginanotherappliancethatyouknow
whichisworkingintothe samesocket.

•Youhave overloadedthe appliance ,

Ifthereisnoise;
Thecooling gas which circulatesinthe refrigeratorcircuit maymake aslightnoise
(bubbling sound)even when thecompressorisnotrunning.Donotworrythisisquite
normal.Ifthesesoundsaredifferentcheck that;
•Theapplianceiswelllevelled
•Nothingistouching therear.
•The stuffsonthe appliance arevibrating.
If thereiswaterinthelowerpart ofthe refrigerator,
Check that;
•Thedrainholefordefrostwaterisnotclogged(Usedefrostdrainplugtoclean the
drainhole)
Recommendations
•Ifthe applianceisnotusedforlong time(forexampleduringthesummerholidays)
unplugandcleantheapplianceandleave thedooropen topreventtheformation of
mildewandsmell.
