Getting Started
The SLXtreme 7 is partially charged from the
factory and can be used right out of the package.
For best results it is recommended that you fully
charge the case’s internal battery before use.
1. To access the micro USB charge port, peel
back the cover. See below.
2. Insert the micro USB end of the included
cable into the case’s micro USB charge port
and then connect the USB end into the USB
port on your computer or other USB enabled
power source.
3. The SLXtreme 7 case will automatically turn
on and the LEDs will indicate the current
charge level and charging status.
Note: If you are charging the SLXtreme case with the iPhone
in the case, the iPhone will charge to 100% before the case
will be charged.

Press the battery button to check the remaining
charge of the SLXtreme’s battery.
• LED 1 steady blue = 0–25%
• LED 1 & 2 steady blue = 26–50%
• LED 1, 2 & 3 steady blue = 51–75%
• LED 1, 2, 3 & 4 steady blue = 76–100%
1. Pressing the battery button once will begin
the charge cycle in addition to indicating the
charge level by the LEDs. The phone will also
indicate that it is charging.
2. Pressing the battery power button twice will
stop the charging cycle. The phone will then
indicate it is no longer charging.
Note: While SLXtreme is actively charging the phone, the
solar panel will not charge the case battery.

LED Behavior while Charging
Testing Waterproof Ability
Before Use
The LEDs will indicate charging progress while your
SLXtreme is plugged into a power source.
When the battery has reached a full charge, the
LEDs will stop blinking.
• LED 1 steady blue = 0–25%
• LED 1 & 2 steady blue = 26–50%
• LED 1, 2 & 3 steady blue = 51–75%
• LED 1, 2, 3 & 4 steady blue = 76–100%
Your SLXtreme 7 case is IP–68 rated and is
designed for submerging in water down to 2 meters
(6.6’) for up to 30 minutes.
Before using your SLXtreme 7 for the first time, test
the case by placing a paper towel in the case and
close and latch the bottom cover (instructions on
following page.)
When closing the case, keep the bottom cover
seal free from debris and sand to prevent any
leakage. Be sure to check that the audio jack plug is
tightened and not loose.
Submerge the case 0.3 m (1’) underwater for
30 minutes to ensure the case is not leaking or
defective. We recommend doing this a few times
a year and after major drops to ensure the case’s
integrity and waterproof ability remain intact.

Inserting iPhone 7 into SLXtreme
Case
Important: remove any case or accessory that
may be on or connected to your iPhone 7, including
polyurethane and protective screen films.
These protective films can cause the phone to
become stuck in the case and difficult to remove
from the case.
1. Open the bottom cover of the SLXtreme 7 by
unclasping the latches. Slide the iPhone 7
top first through the bottom of the case.
2. Be sure to check the gasket area of the case
is free of debris before putting the bottom
cover back on.
3. Insert the bottom cover onto the bottom of
the case ensuring that it’s oriented properly
so the lightning connector mates with the
phone.
4. Secure the latches back onto the cover.
Note: When removing the phone from the case, unlatch the
cover, orient the case upright and slowly pull the cover from
the case. The phone will slide out with the cover since it’s
connected to the lightning connector.

Taking Images and Video
Underwater
1. The SLXtreme is meant for water sports
enthusiasts, adventurers and extreme
outdoorsmen. While the touch screen is not
responsive underwater, you can still capture
photos and video with your iPhone 7.
2. Use the volume / shutter button to snap
photos in and out of water or to begin/end
recording video. Wipe any moisture away
to use the screen again or to switch modes
once out of water.
3. When you come up for air, instantly post and
share your images and videos on your social
sites. Don’t forget to tag us in your photos

Trickle Charging with the Built-in
Solar Panel
The LED indicator will show the strength of the
power it is receiving with green indicator lights.
3 green lights means the solar panel is optimally
positioned.
For every hour of sunlight, the SLXtreme 7’s power
is replenished enough to provide approximately 10
minutes of talk time. This is useful when you are
away from a power source.
Note: Solar charge replenishment may vary depending on
a number of variables. The solar panel trickle charges the
SLXtreme case. The solar panel will not charge the battery
while the case is actively charging the phone.
For added security, Snow Lizard recommends using the
Break-away clip and lanyard included with the SLXtreme. A
break away style lanyard is also provided.
