Adding wood during cooking
Check from time to time to see how much wood is left in the Vital Stove, and
if necessary add more to ensure that the heat diffuses evenly under the grate.
Free the center trap of the grate, using the multifunction handle to slide it
gently.
Using the multifunction handle, grasp the wood blocks and place them in the
Vital Stove. Ensure that no blocks protrude above the Vital Stove, so that the
trap close easily.
Immediately close the trap with the multifunction handle.
Turn up the fan to maximum to ignite the fresh wood. As soon as it ignites,
adjust the fan to the desired intensity.
Turning off the appliance.
Leave the fan running for a while even after all the wood has finished burning
to accelerate the cooling of the unit.

tense heat will burn your food and may damage the
appliance.

MAINTENANCE
BEFORE cleaning any part of the barbecue, allow the barbe-
cue to cool down completely.
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Allow the Vital Grill barbecue to cool down before moving it or
putting it away. Never move the appliance while the wood is
burning or when still hot.
Always remove the batteries from the control module before
storage or if the appliance is not going to be used for a long pe-
riod.
Always handle the grate with care.
To protect the integrity of your barbecue against the effects of the
environment, clean the Vital Grill before storing into its carry
bag when the barbecue is not in use.
Cleaning
Allow remaining wood or a small piece of wood to burn at high
temperature once you are done cooking with the lid at semi-closed
position. This will burn off food and fat remains which will then
be easily removed with a brass BBQ brush.
It is normal for the stainless steel parts to change color with use
because of the intense heat from the burning wood.
After rinsing the soot, all parts can be washed in the dishwasher.
Clean with a damp cloth, or a nylon or brass BBQ brush
COOKING TECHNIQUES
Grilling
Because the Vital Grill cooks so efficiently, it sears foods thoroughly and seals in all the delicious juices, with succulent results. Meat, fish
and vegetables can be placed directly on the grates and will cook easily in the wood-fire heat.
Flavoring food with wine, beer or other liquids
The SolHuma Vital Grill barbecue has a collector channel at the bottom of the pan. When the Vital Grill is ready for cooking, you can pour a
little water, wine, beer or stock (max. 2 table spoons, 1 fl-oz or 50 ml) through the grate, to add subtle flavors to the food. Never use liquids
with higher than 25% alcohol content as this could catch fire. The collector channel also eliminates flare-ups from fat melting and dripping
into the fire.
Smoking food with different wood essences
To smoke the food, add some wanted flavor wood into the stove. Close the damper, set the switch to position I of the battery case for the last
few minutes of cooking and lower the lid to the semi-closed position, allowing the food to absorb the delicious flavor of wood smoke.
Frying and boiling
The Vital Grill is so efficient that you can do all sorts of things with it. The range settings allows you to fry eggs, boil water in minutes, or
simmer on low heat.. Then slide open the central shield so the flame can reach the underside of the pot or pan. Place Dutch oven, sauce pan,
wok or skillet on the grate and adjust the air flow to the desired settings.
