EN Manual for the Solight 1D39 Combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detector
Instructions for use of the carbon monoxide and smoke detector
This product is an intelligent carbon monoxide and smoke detector that uses a microprocessor-based
proceedings. The electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor is stable and reliable, with low current consumption and small
sensitivity change. It is particularly suitable for ensuring the safety of people in areas with a risk of carbon monoxide leakage and
the possibility of fire.
- high precision electrochemical sensor and infrared photoelectric sensor
- LCD display for concentration in PPM
- Extra long standby time; low power consumption and low battery warning
- Alarm memory function, alarm suspension (silent mode)
- audible and optical alarm with LED indication
- SMT production technology Commissioning after operation
1. First commissioning
Insert 3 1.5V AA batteries into the detector (pay attention to the correct orientation of the positive and negative poles for
proper operation), the alarm will emit a short beep and begin to warm up. The display will show a 2 minute countdown, after
which the sensor is ready for operation.
2. Button
If the "TEST" button is pressed, the LCD display shows "CO 0ppm", the smoke value "0.00 dB/m", the LED
the indicator light flashes and the detector emits a continuous alarm signal.
3. Record of the highest value
Press the "TEST" button to check the concentration that triggered the alarm. Long press the "TEST" button for more than 10
seconds to reset the alarm.
4. Indication light
In normal standby mode, the green light flashes once every 35 seconds or so.
5. Low battery warning
If the battery is low, the red light flashes once every 10 seconds and the display shows the text
"Lb" (low battery).
6. Alarm
If the instrument detects carbon monoxide concentrations greater than 300 PPM, an alarm will sound after 3 minutes with 4
beeps every 5 seconds, a flashing red light and a continuous alarm. In this case, immediately close the gas valve, open windows
and doors and call and emergency services. In the event of a fire in which the instrument detects a smoke concentration greater
than 0.1% db/m, the alarm will sound with a blue flashing light and a continuous audible signal.
7. Alarm interruption (silent mode)
To switch off the audible alarm in the event of a false alarm, press the test button. The LED continues to flash to remind you that
the detector has been muted. When the alarm is switched to silent mode, the LED flashes once every 10 seconds (if you press
the button in silent mode, the alarm will sound again and the red LED will stop flashing). The alarm will automatically return to
normal mode after 10 minutes.
a) Installation instructions
1. For maximum protection, we recommend installing a unit on every floor of a multi-story home, as well as in every bedroom,
hallway, living loft, and basement or vehicle. Install the unit at both ends of a corridor or large room if the corridor or room is
longer than 9.1 m. If you have only one alarm, install it in the hallway outside the master bedroom or in the master bedroom.
Check that the alarm can be heard in all bedrooms.
2. As carbon monoxide gas is lighter than air, select a suitable position for installation, i.e. 1.5 - 2.5 m above the
the floor.
3. Do not place the detector near the following sources of potential interference: direct airflow from ventilation
vents, exhaust fans, doors, windows, steam sources, oil steam, etc.
b) Locations unsuitable for installation
1. Places where smoke is permanently present;
2. Sites with humidity greater than 95%;
3. Locations with heavy dust, heavy water mist, heavy oil mist;
4. Locations with high wind speeds. (5m/s)
NOTES:
1. Sharps or impact during transport or installation can easily affect or malfunction the detector.
2. This device is a carbon monoxide and smoke detector that cannot detect combustible gas
(e.g. liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, methane, etc.).
3. Regular maintenance: surface cleaning once a month, professional inspection once every six months.
4. Do not use detergents to clean the detector - these may cause damage.
5. Do not spray any sprays such as air fresheners, hair sprays, etc. on the unit.
