replacement kit” free of charge to keep you up and running with a minimum of downtime.
If you’re an experienced technician, changing the battery yourself is relatively easy - just
follow the instructions given below.

•one CR123A 3V Lithium battery
•one cable tie (3-4mm width, length ~12cm)
•one sonible ml:1 EPDM replacement self-adhesive floor plate
To change the battery, you will need the following tools and parts:
•a TORX T10 screwdriver
•a side cutter
•your ml:1 battery replacement kit
Please keep in mind that sonible will not be responsible for any kind of
damage occurring during this option of battery replacement.
Step 1: Peel off the EPDM floor plate slowly and clean up possible residual glue
thoroughly with an adequate solvent (petroleum benzene/white gas).

The slower you peel off the EPDM material the less glue will stick to
the housing and ease up cleaning. Warming up the floor plate with a hot
air gun may help, if you encounter problems during the process.
Do not use temperatures above 60°C/140°F with the hot air gun, as
this might weaken the powder coating.
Step 2: After cleaning, loosen the six screws on the bottom side and the two screws on
the top side of the outer housing.
Do not untighten the screws on the connectors, this is not necessary
to access the battery!
Step 3: Separate the inner housing from the outer shell and remove the cable tie
securing the CR123A Lithium battery. Now the battery can easily be taken out of its
holder (designator B100).
Step 4: Insert a new CR123A lithium battery according to the polarity markings on the
battery holder and secure the battery again with the prepared cable tie. Cut off the
unneeded excess of the cable tie with the side cutter to avoid rattling.
Verify the functionality of the new battery before reassembling the
housing by using the test tone generator.
Step 5: Reinsert the inner housing into the shell and reattach all screws.
Do not over tighten the M3 TORX screws, this will damage the
threads in the inner housing!
Step 6: Reapply a new self-adhesive EPDM cover to the bottom of your ml:1
