You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instructions are part
of this product. They contain important information about safety, usage and
disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all operating
and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range of
applications specified. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any
future owner.
Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for personal dental care at home. This
appliance is intended solely for use in private households. The appliance is
not intended for use in industrial or medical environments. It is not suitable for
animal care. Do not use it for commercial purposes.

Safety information

► To avoid damage, do not allow liquids to enter
the appliance and do not submerge it in water.
► Ensure that no foreign objects enter the appliance.
► In the event of malfunctions or obvious damage,
please contact our customer service department.
► Ensure that the power cable can never become
wet or damp during operation. Route the power
cable in such a way that it cannot become
trapped or damaged in any other way. Danger
of electric shock!
► The mains cable of this appliance cannot be
replaced. If the cable is damaged, the whole
appliance must be scrapped.
► Never touch the charger if it has fallen into
water. Remove the plug from the wall socket
first! Danger of electric shock!
Do not submerge the handset or the charger
in water or other liquids.

► Toothbrushes may be used by children and
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and/
or knowledge, if they are supervised or have
been told how to use the appliance safely and
are aware of the potential risks.
► Cleaning and user maintenance should not be
carried out by children, unless they are under
supervision.
► Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

► The electric toothbrush may only be recharged
with the supplied charger.
Otherwise, the appliance could be irreparably
damaged!
► Operate the appliance only with the original
accessories supplied.

Setting up
NOTE
► In damp rooms, especially in the vicinity of water (bath), the charger 
must be set up so that it cannot accidentally fall into the water.
1) Place the charger on a clean and level surface.
Ensure that the charger cannot fall into water, such as into a bath or sink.
First use
NOTE
Before starting to use the appliance, check that it is in fault-free condition.
You must not use the appliance if it has any faults.
1) Insert the power plug into the socket.
2) Before initial use, clean the new brush heads with fresh water.
3) Open the lid and place the replacement brush heads into the brush
holders . Close the lid again.
4) Place the handset on the charger so that it slides onto the pin on the
base.
5) Allow the handset to charge for around 14–16 hours before using it for
the first time. The charge indicator on the front of the handset lights up
red during the charging process.
6) Use the handset repeatedly without charging the battery until the perfor-
mance becomes noticeably weaker or the toothbrush stops working and
the charge indicator flashes red. Then recharge the battery for 14 - 16
hours. When the appliance is fully charged, the charge indicator lights
up green.
7) Charge and discharge the toothbrush completely 3 times. At that point, the
battery will have reached its full capacity.
8) You can now leave the handset on the charger after every use, so as to
always have full power available.
Fitting/removing brush heads
■ To remove the brush head , pull it upwards and off the drive shaft .
■ When fitting the brush head , ensure that the drive shaft on the handset
slides precisely into the socket on the brush head .
Push the brush head down until it completely covers the drive shaft .
NOTE
To avoid damage to the appliance, always use original brush heads.
(see section "Order replacement parts" for replacement brush heads)

Operation
This toothbrush has 3 different power levels:
–"Clean": normal speed, orange "Clean" LED 
For cleaning the teeth.
–"Soft": slow speed, green "Soft" LED 
For cleaning the teeth of people with sensitive gums.
–"Pulse": slow speed with short breaks, yellow "Pulse" LED 
For massaging the gums.
■ Press the on/off switch once to activate the "Clean" mode. The "Clean"
LED lights up.
■ Press once more to switch to "Soft" mode. The "Soft" LED lights up.
■ Press it a third time to switch to "Pulse" mode. The "Pulse" LED lights up.
■ To switch the toothbrush off, press the on/off switch once more.
Brushing Teeth
WARNING!
The unfamiliar stimulation may cause light gum bleeding at first. This is normal.
If this continues for more than two weeks, you should consult your dentist.
1) Place the brush head on the handset.
2) Moisten the brush under flowing water.
3) Put a little toothpaste onto the wet brush.
NOTE
To avoid being sprayed, do not switch on the appliance until it is in your
mouth.
4) Use the on/off switch to select the desired operating mode.
NOTE
This toothbrush has a 30-second interval timer, so that all four jaw quadrants
can be cleaned evenly.
5) Divide your mouth into four parts (quadrants): upper left, upper right,
lower left and lower right.
6) Start in one quadrant:
Start with the brush head on your gums, and move the brush upwards/
downwards from the gums to the crown of the tooth.
Continue in this manner on both the inside and the outside of the tooth.
Start again at the gums for each individual tooth.
Do not forget to brush the back of the rear molars.
To clean the chewing surfaces, guide the brush over them with a little
pressure.

7) After 30 seconds, the toothbrush stops briefly to signal that you should
start cleaning the next quadrant. Clean each jaw quadrant using the same
technique.
8) After two minutes, the toothbrush stops briefly 2 times. This informs you
that you have complied with the dental recommendation of two minutes
cleaning.
9) Press the on/off switch repeatedly until the toothbrush stops.
10) Then take the toothbrush out of your mouth.
11) After use, rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water.
12) Remove the brush head from the handset.
To clean the drive shaft and the handset, hold them under running wa-
ter for a short while. Hold the handset so that the drive shaft is pointing
downwards at an angle.
NOTE
Massage your gums regularly. This promotes blood circulation and helps to
keep them healthy. Set the mode to "Pulse" and guide the moistened brush
over your gums with a light pressure.
Cleaning and care
DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
► Always remove the plug of the charger from the power socket before
cleaning the appliance! There is a risk of electric shock!
Do not immerse the handset or the charger in water or other liquids!
WARNING – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use detergents or solvents. They can damage the plastic surfaces.
NOTE
Never open the housing of the charger or the toothbrush! They cannot be
resealed in a watertight manner.
1) Dismantle the charger for cleaning:
–Hold the lower part of the charger firmly and tilt the top part, which
contains the brush holders , towards the rear.
2) Clean the upper part of the charger under running water. If any tooth-
paste residue in the brush holders cannot be removed, soak the upper part
of the charger in warm water and then rinse out the brush holders .
3) Clean the lower part of the charger only with a soft, slightly damp
cloth.
4) Remove the brush head from the handset. After use, clean the brush
heads thoroughly under running water.
We recommend cleaning the brush heads in a standard commercial
denture cleaning fluid every 2 - 4 weeks. A new brush head should
be used after about 3 months, at the latest when the bristles start to bend
outwards.
5) To clean the drive shaft and the handset, hold them under running water
for a short while. Hold the handset so that the drive shaft is pointing
downwards at an angle.

Travel lock
This toothbrush is equipped with a travel lock. You can lock the on/off switch 
to prevent accidental starting of the toothbrush:
Press and hold the on/off button until the charge indicator flashes green
5 times.
The on/off switch is now locked.
To unlock the switch, press and hold the on/off button until the charge
indicator lights up once for a few seconds.
NOTE
If you try to switch on the toothbrush while the travel lock is activated, the
charge indicator will flash 5 times. The toothbrush will not start.
Disposal
Never dispose of the appliance in your normal
domestic waste. This product is subject to the
provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the device via an approved disposal company or your municipal
waste facility. Please comply with all applicable regulations. Please contact
your waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt.
NOTE
► The integrated rechargeable battery in this appliance cannot be removed
for disposal.
The packaging is made from environmentally friendly material and
can be disposed of at your local recycling plant.

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this
product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory
rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please
keep your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as
proof of purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our
discretion. This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective
appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description
of the fault and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the
beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and
defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after
unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be
subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such
as switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the
product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses
and actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are
warned against must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications/repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.

GEFAHR - ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
► Lassen Sie keine Flüssigkeiten in das Gerät ein-
dringen und tauchen Sie es nicht unter Wasser,
um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.
► Vermeiden Sie das Eindringen von Fremdkörpern.
► Wenden Sie sich bei Fehlfunktionen oder er-
kennbaren Schäden an den Kundendienst.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel
niemals nass oder feucht werden kann. Führen
Sie das Netzkabel so, dass es nicht eingeklemmt
oder anderweitig beschädigt werden kann.
Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages!
► Die Netzanschlussleitung dieses Gerätes kann
nicht ersetzt werden. Bei Beschädigung der
Leitung ist das Gerät zu verschrotten.
► Berühren Sie niemals die Ladestation, wenn
diese in das Wasser gefallen ist. Ziehen Sie
unbedingt erst den Netzstecker! Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages!
Tauchen Sie das Handgerät oder die Ladesta-
tion nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.

► Zahnbürsten können von Kindern und von Per-
sonen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen
oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an

sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen
wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren
verstanden haben.
► Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht

sie sind beaufsichtigt.
► Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

gelieferten Ladestation geladen werden.
Ansonsten kann das Gerät irreparabel beschä-

► Betreiben Sie das Gerät ausschließlich mit dem
mitgelieferten Originalzubehör.

Aufstellen
HINWEIS
► In feuchten Räumen, insbesondere in der Nähe von Wasser (Bad), muss
die Ladestation so aufgestellt sein, dass sie vor versehentlichem Hin-
einfallen in das Wasser geschützt ist.
1) Stellen Sie die Ladestation auf eine grade und stabile Fläche.
Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass die Ladestation nicht ins Wasser, wie
zum Beispiel in eine Badewanne oder ein Waschbecken fallen kann.
Erste Verwendung
HINWEIS
Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, überzeugen Sie sich davon, dass
es in einwandfreiem Zustand ist. Andernfalls darf es nicht verwendet werden.
1) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.
2) Reinigen Sie vor der ersten Verwendung den neuen Bürstenkopf mit
klarem Wasser.
3) Öffnen Sie den Deckel und stecken Sie Ersatzbürstenköpfe in die Bürsten-
fächer . Schließen Sie den Deckel dann wieder.
4) Stellen Sie das Handgerät so auf die Ladestation , dass es auf den Dorn
am Sockel gleitet.
5) Lassen Sie das Handgerät ca. 14 - 16 Stunden aufladen, bevor Sie es
erstmals verwenden. Die Ladeanzeige vorne am Handgerät leuchtet rot
während des Aufladens.
6) Benutzen Sie dann das Handgerät so oft, ohne es aufzuladen, bis die
Leistung spürbar schwächer wird oder die Zahnbürste den Betrieb stoppt
und die Ladeanzeige rot blinkt. Laden Sie die Zahnbürste erst dann
wieder für 14 - 16 Stunden auf. Wenn das Gerät aufgeladen ist, leuchtet
die Ladeanzeige grün.
7) Entladen und laden Sie die Zahnbürste insgesamt 3 x komplett. Dann hat
der Akku seine volle Kapazität erreicht.
8) Nun können Sie das Handgerät nach jeder Benutzung in die Ladestation 
stellen, um immer die volle Leistung zur Verfügung zu haben.
Bürstenkopf aufsetzen / abnehmen
■ Zum Abnehmen des Bürstenkopfes , ziehen Sie ihn nach oben von der
Antriebswelle ab.
■ Achten Sie beim Aufsetzen des Bürstenkopfes darauf, dass die Antriebs-
welle am Handteil genau in die Aufnahme im Bürstenkopf gleitet.
Drücken Sie den Bürstenkopf herunter, bis dieser komplett die Antriebs-
welle umschließt.
HINWEIS
Verwenden Sie nur Original-Bürstenköpfe, um Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden.
(Ersatzbürstenköpfe siehe Kapitel „Ersatzteile bestellen“)
► Für dieses Gerät können Sie auch die Ersatzbürstenköpfe der Zahnbürste
Oral B©Sonic Complete* benutzen.

Bedienen
Diese Zahnbürste hat 3 verschiedene Leistungsstufen:
–„Clean“: normale Geschwindigkeitsstufe, orange „Clean“-LED 
Zur Reinigung der Zähne.
–„Soft“: langsame Geschwindigkeitsstufe, grüne „Soft“-LED 
Zur Reinigung der Zähne bei empfindlichem Zahnfleisch.
–„Pulse“: langsame Geschwindigkeitsstufe mit kurzen Pausen, gelbe
„Pulse“-LED 
Zur Massage des Zahnfleisches.
■ Drücken Sie einmal den Ein-/Ausschalter , um die Leistungsstufe „Clean“
einzuschalten. Die „Clean“-LED leuchtet.
■ Drücken Sie ein weiteres Mal, um die Leistungsstufe „Soft“ einzustellen. Die
„Soft“-LED leuchtet.
■ Drücken Sie ein drittes Mal, um die Leistungsstufe „Pulse“ einzustellen. Die
„Pulse“-LED leuchtet.
■ Um die Zahnbürste auszustellen, drücken Sie ein weiteres Mal auf den Ein-/
Ausschalter .
Zähne putzen
WARNUNG!
Anfänglich kann es durch die ungewohnte Reizung zu etwas Zahnfleischbluten
kommen, das ist normal. Hält dies länger als zwei Wochen an, sollten Sie
Ihren Zahnarzt befragen.
1) Stecken Sie den Bürstenkopf auf das Handgerät.
2) Feuchten Sie die Bürste unter fließendem Wasser an.
3) Tragen Sie etwas Zahnpasta auf die feuchte Bürste auf.
HINWEIS
Schalten Sie das Gerät erst im Mund ein, um Spritzer zu vermeiden.
4) Stellen Sie am Ein-/Ausschalter die gewünschte Leistungsstufe ein.
HINWEIS
Diese Zahnbürste hat einen 30-Sekunden-Intervall-Timer, damit Sie alle vier
Kieferquadranten gleichmäßig reinigen können.
5) Teilen Sie Ihren Kiefer in vier Teile (Quadranten): oben links, oben rechts,
unten links und unten rechts.
6) Beginnen Sie in einem Quadranten:
Setzen Sie den Bürstenkopf auf das Zahnfleisch auf und führen Sie die
Bürste vom Zahnfleisch ausgehend über den Zahn.
Verfahren Sie so mit der Innenseite sowie mit der Außenseite des Zahnes.
Setzen Sie für jeden Zahn neu auf dem Zahnfleisch an.
Vergessen Sie die Rückseite des hinteren Backenzahnes nicht.
Um die Kauflächen zu reinigen, führen Sie die Bürste mit leichtem Druck
über die Kauflächen.

7) Nach 30 Sekunden unterbricht die Zahnbürste kurz den Betrieb, um Ihnen
zu signalisieren, dass Sie den nächsten Kieferquadranten reinigen sollen.
Reinigen Sie alle Kieferquadranten mit der gleichen Technik.
8) Nach zwei Minuten stoppt die Zahnbürste den Betrieb 2 x kurz. Dann sind
Sie der zahnärztlichen Empfehlung von 2 Minuten Zähneputzen gerecht
geworden.
9) Drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter so oft, bis die Zahnbürste stoppt.
10) Nehmen Sie erst dann die Zahnbürste aus dem Mund.
11) Säubern Sie den Bürstenkopf nach Gebrauch gründlich unter fließendem
Wasser.
12) Nehmen Sie den Bürstenkopf vom Handgerät ab.
Zum Reinigen der Antriebswelle und des Handgeräts, lassen Sie kurz
Wasser darüberfließen. Halten Sie dabei das Handgerät so, dass die
Antriebswelle schräg nach unten weist.
HINWEIS
Massieren Sie Ihr Zahnfleisch regelmäßig. Das fördert die Durchblutung und
somit die Gesunderhaltung des Zahnfleisches. Stellen Sie die Leistungsstufe
„Pulse“ ein und führen Sie die angefeuchtete Bürste mit leichtem Druck über
das Zahnfleisch.
Reinigung und Pflege
GEFAHR - ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
► Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker der Ladestation aus
der Netzsteckdose! Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages!
Tauchen Sie das Handgerät oder die Ladestation niemals in Wasser
oder andere Flüssigkeiten!
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
► Verwenden Sie keine Reinigungs- oder Lösemittel. Diese können die
Kunststoff-Oberflächen beschädigen.
HINWEIS
Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse der Ladestation oder der Zahnbürste!
Diese können nicht wieder wasserdicht verschlossen werden.
1) Nehmen Sie die Ladestation zum Reinigen auseinander:
–Halten Sie den unteren Teil der Ladestation fest und kippen Sie den
oberen Teil, in dem sich die Bürstenfächer befinden, nach hinten weg.
2) Reinigen Sie den oberen Teil der Ladestation unter fließendem Wasser.
Falls sich Zahnpastarrückstände in den Bürstenfächern nicht lösen, las-
sen sie den oberen Teil der Ladestation einige Zeit in warmem Wasser
einweichen und spülen Sie die Bürstenfächer dann aus.
3) Reinigen Sie den unteren Teil der Ladestation nur mit einem weichen,
leicht angefeuchteten Tuch.
4) Nehmen Sie den Bürstenkopf vom Handgerät ab. Säubern Sie die Bürs-
tenköpfe nach Gebrauch gründlich unter fließendem Wasser.
Wir empfehlen eine Reinigung der Bürstenköpfe in handelsüblicher
Reinigungsflüssigkeit für Zahnprothesen etwa alle 2 - 4 Wochen. Nach ca.
3 Monaten, spätestens jedoch wenn sich die Borsten nach außen biegen,
sollten Sie einen neuen Bürstenkopf verwenden.
5) Zum Reinigen der Antriebswelle und des Handgeräts, lassen Sie kurz
Wasser darüberfließen. Halten Sie dabei das Handgerät so, dass die
Antriebswelle schräg nach unten weist.

Reisesicherung
Diese Zahnbürste ist mit einer Reisesicherung ausgestattet. Sie können den
Ein-/Ausschalter sperren, um ein unbeabsichtigtes Starten der Zahnbürste
zu vermeiden:
Drücken und halten Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter , bis die Ladeanzeige 5 x
grün blinkt.
Der Ein-/Ausschalter ist nun gesperrt.
Zum Entsperren drücken und halten Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter , bis die Lade-
anzeige einmal lang aufleuchtet.
HINWEIS
Wenn Sie, während die Reisesicherung aktiviert ist, versuchen die Zahnbürs-
te einzuschalten, leuchtet die Ladeanzeige 5 x kurz auf. Die Zahnbürste
startet nicht.
Entsorgung
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen
Hausmüll. Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäi-
schen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU.
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder
über Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell gelten-
den Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung
in Verbindung.
HINWEIS
► Der integrierte Akku dieses Gerätes kann zur Entsorgung nicht entfernt
werden.
Die Verpackung besteht aus umweltfreundlichen Materialien, die Sie
über die örtlichen Recyclingstellen entsorgen können.
