1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to SONUSCORE’s lo•ki - Felt Piano. Where words fail, music gains its power. The
Felt Piano’s soulful intimacy reaches right inside the heart. If a strip of felt is mounted
between the hammer heads and the strings of the piano, the felt will dampen the impact of
the hammer heads. Not only does the volume change, but above all the tone color. A felt
piano sounds different. The overtones are almost eliminated, resulting in a way more
intimate, melancholic and atmospheric sound.
2. INSTALLATION
After the purchase please download the zip files completely to a destination of your choice.
Unzip the files and open the file “lo ki.nki” with your KONTAKT sampler.
3. MAIN PAGE
The main page shows all the controls you need to create an inspiring sound for your
composition.
3.1 GLOW SLIDER
Glow creates randomly evolving sound textures that change depending on the user’s input.
Move the slider to the left to play lo•ki like a regular piano. Move the slider to the right to let
simple chords evolve into mesmerizing sound worlds.

3.2 COLOR SELECTION
Click on a color name in the upper right drop-down menu to choose from several color
presets the SONUSCORE team created.
3.3 MAIN CONTROLS
The MAIN CONTROLS give you access to the basic controls you need to shape the sound of
lo•ki.
ATTACK: Adjusts the ATTACK of the chosen instrument.
RELEASE: Adjusts the RELEASE of the chosen instrument.
DYN. RANGE: Adjusts the dynamic range of lo•ki’s sound.
MECHANICS: Controls the amount of mechanical key noise.
TAPE: Adjusts the amount of tape effect, giving the sound more depth and character.
REVERB: Choose between three types of reverb and adjust the amount.
