FEATURES
➤
STEP-UP FEATURE
➤
3 CCD
Using a 3 chip Advanced HAD™CCD
system and dichroic prism to separate color
information, colors are extremely accurate, and
color “bleeding”and “smearing”are
significantly reduced.
3-1/4.7" Advanced HAD™CCD Imagers
1070K Pixels Gross
3-1/4.7" Advanced HAD™(Hole
Accumulation Diode) CCD imagers
with 690K (effective) pixels provides
excellent detail and clarity, with exceptional
digital video performance (530 lines of
horizontal resolution).
MiniDV Recording
MiniDV digital recording format delivers 3X
color bandwidth of VHS and lower signal to
noise ratio compared to analog formats and
provides stunning video performance.
Network Capability with BlueTooth™
Technology
Connect the camera, wirelessly, via
BlueTooth™technology, to the
Internet. This allows wireless transfer
of still images and MPEG1 movies, captured
on Memory Stick®media, via the optional
modem adapter (BTA-NW1). Images and MPEG
movies can be emailed to family and friend, or
shared via Sony’s ImageStation®Service on
the World Wide Web. You can even browse the
Internet wirelessly.
12X Optical/150X Digital Zoom
Brings the action close-up from far away for
greater creativity, performance and
convenience.
➤
3.5" Precision SwivelScreen™Touch
Panel LCD Display (246K Pixels)
Provides excellent viewing clarity
with improved resolution. The
246K pixel LCD display makes
images sharp and detailed during playback or
when monitoring recording. The “On Screen”
touch panel LCD system allows you to navigate
through the camera’s menu system by touching
the LCD screen using the supplied stylus.
Precision Color Viewfinder (180K Pixels)
Increased pixel count provides
more detail and clarity of video
subjects.
USB Streaming
Stay connected with family and
friends by broadcasting live video
with audio, via the Internet with
the USB interface. You can even playback your
favorite recorded scene stored on tape. It’s like
having your own web camera or video
conferencing system.
Digital Still Memory Mode with
Memory Stick®Media
Digital Still Memory Mode captures
high quality Megapixel still images up
to 1152 x 864 resolution directly to
Memory Stick®media. Images are stored in
the JPEG format providing easy transfer to PCs
for emailing, printing, or sharing with family
and friends.
MPEG Movie EX Mode
Unlike other MPEG1 movies,
MPEG Movie EX will allow you to
record uninterrupted to the full
capacity of the Memory Stick media. For
example, the 128MB Memory Stick will record
up to 85 minutes of non-stop MPEG video.
Intelligent Auto Pop Up Flash with
Red-Eye Reduction
Provides the appropriate amount of flash for
optimum brightness and color accuracy in
virtually any lighting condition. The Red-Eye
Reduction system uses a series of pre-flashes
that cause the subject’s pupils to contract,
reducing the possibility of reflection from the
back of the eye that causes the red-eye
problem.
i.LINK®* DV Interface (IEEE1394)
A high speed bi-directional digital
video/audio communication between
two compatible devices equipped
with a IEEE1394 interface, including
camcorders, digital VCRs, and PCs.
Super SteadyShot Optical
Stabilization System
An advanced version of Sony’s
SteadyShot®System that
controls an even higher range of
shake and vibration frequencies to achieve an
even higher level of smoothness without
degradation of video like some other image
stabilization systems.
