2. TEST MODE C (TX Power Measurement Mode)
In the test mode idling status, press the [GREETING REC] key to
active this mode and display “–C”.
1. In the “–C” status, press the [REPEAT ] key to active the
TX power measurement mode and transmit the single carrier
continuously.
2. In this status, setting can be changed by entering the following
keys (not displayed).
[REPEAT ] : Select main antenna
[SKIP ] : Select sub antenna
[GREETING PLAY] : Select channel 5
[DAY/TIME] : Select channel 28
[ANSWER ON/OFF] : Select channel 50
3. TEST MODE F (DSP Control Mode)
In the test mode idling status, press the [GREETING PLAY] key
to active this mode and display “–F”.
3-1. ICM Recording Path Mode
In the “–F” status, press the [REPEAT ] key to active the ICM
recording path mode. In this mode, it operates as follows.
•ICM recording path setting
•DTMF monitor
When receive DTMF, it displays corresponded number to the
received DTMF
•CPT detection
When detect busy tone (400 Hz) or stutter tone, it lights up the
[IN USE] LCD.
3-2. Line Playback Path Mode
In the “–F” status, press the [SKIP ] key to active the line
playback path mode. In this mode, it operates as follows.
•Line playback path setting
3-3. RecordingTest
Note: Execute this test after setting the path in “3-1. ICM Recording Path
Mode”.
In the “–F” status, press the [MEMO REC] key to active the re-
cording test. In this mode, it operates as follows.
•VOX detection
When detect receiving signal from the line, it lights up the
[ANSWER ON/OFF] LED.
Note: When receiving signal is single tone, attenuator becomes active.
Therefore use the input signal is voice signal or burst signal of sine
wave (1.2 kHz).
3-4. PlaybackTest
Note: Execute this test after setting the path in “3-1. ICM Recording Path
Mode”.
In the “–F” status, press the [MESSAGE PLAY/STOP] key to
active the playback test. In this mode, it operates as follows.
•Playback test
Playback the recorded signal by “3-3. Recording Test”.
3-5. Speaker PathTest 1
In the “– F” status, press the [GREETING REC] key to active the
speaker path test 1. In this mode, it activates phone line path when
IC402 pin 0(MIC GAIN CONT) is “L” and IC402 pin uj (H/S
TALK GAIN CONT) is “H”.
3-6. Speaker PathTest 2
In the “–F” status, press the [GREETING PLAY] key to active the
speaker path test 2. In this mode, it activates phone line path when
IC402 pin 0(MIC GAIN CONT) is “H” and IC402 pin uj (H/S
TALK GAIN CONT) is “L”.
In this mode, it operates as follows.
•When the [VOL +] key is pressed, it outputs the DTMF “5”.
•When the [ANSWER ON/OFF] key is pressed, it outputs the
DP “0”.

Note:
The test mode in this set includes the test items that use normal set
only, and the test items that need the panel (BASE CABINET (UP-
PER) ASSY) to be replaced with that for the SPP-A2780.

[ENTERINGTHETEST MODE]
1. Turn the power on.
2. Pressthreekeysof[GREETING REC], [HANDSET LOCATOR],
and [ERASE] simultaneously.
3. When the test mode becomes active, the message counter dis-
plays “–0” along with an acknowledged tone. (Idling status of
test mode)
4. Pressing either key in the following table causes the mode as-
sociated with the pressed key to be activated.

5. To return the idling status, press the [VOL --] key.

Disconnect the power.

1. TEST MODE A (Manufacturing mode)
In the test mode idling status, press the [MEMO REC] key to ac-
tive this mode and display “–A”.
KeyTest
1. In the “–A” status, press the [MEMO REC] key to active the
key test.
2. Press the key following order.

3. When this test finished, a completion tone is generated and
the base unit returns to the initial test mode “–A” and waits for
a command.
Also, pressing the keys in wrong order causes the set to be
returned to the initial status.
