• This can;era is neither dust-proof, nor Slflash-
i?roof, nor water-proof. Read "Prccauflons"
(page 36) bef)re operating the camera.
• Be careflll not to get tile canlera wet. Water
entering the inside of the camera may cau_
nlalfunctions which ill some cases may not be
repairable.

Notes on the LCD screen, the
LCD finder and the lens
• The LCD sclven and the LCD lhlder are
manuh,ctured using extrenlely high-precision

nlay be some tiny black points and/or bright
points (white. red, blue or green in color) that
constantly appear on file LCD screen or the
LCD fnder. These points are normal in tile

recording in any way.
• When lhe battely level beconles low, lhe lens
nlight slop nloving. Insert a charged battery
pack and Illrn Oll the camera again,

LCD screen.

fingernail into the slit to pull out the
battery case.

Remote Control until it clicks.

• When the lithium battcl T becomes weak, lhe
operating distance of the Remote Control In_ly

1 Preparing the battery pack
_) Insert the battery pack into the battery charger.
0Connect the battery charger to the wall outlet (wall socket).
Tile CHARGE lamp lights on, and charging starts.
When the CHARGE lamp turns off, cllarging is finished (Practical chz_rge).
If you continue charging tile battery pack lor aboul one more hour (until it is flllly charged), tile chalge
will last slightly longer.
Charging time
• Tilne required to charge a fully depleted battel 3' pack at a temperature of 25°C (77°F). Cllarging may take
longer tinder certain circtltllslances or condilions.
• See page 32 R_rtile nunlber of images lbal can be recorded.
• Connect the batlery cllarger 1oan easily accessible wall oullet (wall socket) close by.
• Even if tile CHARGE lalnp is nol lit, file battery charger is not disconnected honl the AC power source
(mains) as long as it is connecled to the wall outlet (wall socket). If some trouble occurs while using the
balte W charger, inlmedkltely s]lllI oil tile i?ower by disconnecling die plug ftonl lhe wall oullet (wall
socket).
• When charging is finished, disconnect the power cord (nlains lead) t?om file wall oullet (wall socket), and
renlove the batlery pack honl the batlery cllarger.

The Night Shot function lets you shoot

_To shoot using the finder
With the FINDER/LCD button, you can
choose to shoot either using the finder or
the LCD screen. When you use the findel_
the image does not appear on the LCD
screen. At[just the finder adjustment dial to
your eyesight so that the image appears
clearly within the finder, then shoot the
image.

Attaching the lens hood
1Attach Ihe adaplor ring while the po_xer is
off.
2Turn the position ring and position the
indicator of the adaptor ring to the
indicator of this camera, as illustrated
below.
Storing the lens hood
Position tile lens hood as shown below and
turn the lens hood clockwise until it clicks.
3Turn the lens hood and position the
indicator to the indicator of the position
ring until it clicks. While doing this, hold
and fix the indicator of the adaptor ring to
not turn.
