You c:m :dsu recoM images in a "Memor> Stick Duo" (not supplied) instead of the internal

Push the "Memory Stick Duo" in once to remove the "Memory Stick Duo".
• Never remove the "Memory Stick Duo" when the access lamp is lit. The data may be
corrupted.
• When the [Defuult Medial is set to [Internal Memory] via the home screen, the images are
recorded in the internal memory, although the "Memury Stick Duo" is being inserted
(page 24).

2 Chargingthe battery pack
_]_Connect the cable of the AC Adaptor (supplied) to the DC IN jack of the
Cyber-shot Station (supplied).
OConnect the power cord (mains lead) to the AC Adaptor and plug the adaptor
into the wall outlet (wall socket).
OAttach the camera on the Cyber-shot Station.
The CHG lamplights on,and charging stm'ts.
When tile CH(-Ihunpturns off.cllarging is linished (Full chmge),
Charging time
• Time required 1o charge a tully depleted baltery pack (supplied) al a temperature of 25°C (77°F). Charging
may take longer under certain circumstances or conditions,
• For delails on battely usable time, see page 33,
• Even if the CHG lamp is not lit, the camera is not disconnected l?x)m die AC power source (mains) as long
as it is connected to/lye wall outlet (wall socket). If any trouble occurs while using tile adaptor,
immediately shut off the power by disconnecting the plug l?om the wall outlet (wall socket).
• Do not use the AC Adaptor placed in a narrow space, such as between a wall and flmfiturt:.
• If you do not operate the camera lot a long time, disconnect the AC Adaptor both lrom the DC IN jack of
the Cyber-shol Station and l?x)m a wall outlet (wall socket).
• Us a commercially available AC plug adaptor, if necessary, depending on the design of the wall outlet.

_To check the remaining battery time
O;)en the lens co'_er er press tim POWER button to turn on and check tim time on the LCD
screen. When the rmnaining battery time is not indicated, switch the display by pressing the
DISP (Screen display switch) button.
DISP (Screen display "[t takes about one minute unlil the correct baltely
remaining time appears.
• Only _22Z] is indicaled, depending on a mode.
• The displayed time remaining may nol be correcl under
cerlain circumslances.

3 Turningthe camera on/setting the clock
_) Press the POWER button or open the lens cover.
OSet the clock with the control button.
1-OSelect [Area], then press 0.
-(g)Select the desired area, then press II.
2-OSelect [Daylight Savings], then press 0.
-QSelect [On] or [OIT] of the daylight saving time, then press 0.
3-(_7)Select [Date display order], then press II.
-(_2)Select the desired order, then press tl.
4-OSelect each item and set the immeric value, then press 0.
-QSet up all the items.
5Select [OK], then press II.
To change the date and time
Press the HOME button, and select [i Settings] -..+ [Q Clock Set] (page 25).
When you turn on the power

minutes, the camera turns off automatically to prevent wearing down the battery pack (Auto
power_oll flmction).

4 Connecting the camera with your computer
11you use the soflware contained in the CD-ROM (supplied), you can display images shol
with the camera on the compuler. For details, refer to "Cyber-shot Handbook."
Connect the USB cable to the _ (USB) jack of the Cyber-shot Station and the
USB jack of a computer and then press the CONNECT button.
1Turn on your compuler, and inserl Ihe CD-
ROM (supplied) into Ihe CD-ROM drive.

When you click the [Cyber-shot Handbook]

1Turn on your computer, and insert the CD-
ROM lsupplied) into the CD-ROM drive.

When you click the [Install] button, the
"Choose Setup Language" screen appears.

complete the installation.

click the shortcut created on the desktop.

OOpen the lens cover by sliding the OPEN (CAMERA) lever.
Open until it clicks.
I_ Select a mode with the H/I_I (Movie/Photo) button.
Each lime you press the [_/It_l (Movie/Photo) button, the mode changes between Movie midPhoto.
I_ Hold the camera steady, keeping your arm at your side.
Position the subject
in the center of the
LCD screen.
