This stylish 42-Inch public display combines the
astounding picture quality of 1920 x 1080 Full High
Definition together with high brightness and a slim in-
stallation design - making this screen the perfect
choice for captivating and colourful displays, suitable
even in large venues and places with bright ambient
lighting. Furthermore, this eco-conscious display in-
corporates innovative LED backlighting offering low
power consumption, saving on running costs.
Due to the commercial-grade LCD panel, these dis-
plays are suitable for continuous 24 hour (24/7*) ap-
plications.
This LED public display has been designed to be
mounted horizontally and vertically for use in a vari-
ety of digital signage applications including shopping
malls, hotel foyers and airports.
The FWD-S42H2 comes with a 3-year warranty for
professional use.
*To retain the life of the panel we recommend that
the display is put on standby for at least one hour
every 24 hours.

Landscape / Portrait – adaptable for a variety of
applications
Use of commercial-grade LCD panels and cooling sys-
tems, ensure the display can be positioned either ver-
tically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape) with no
change in the backlight level or service life. This flex-
ibility in orientation makes it possible to create many
different imaging effects in a wide variety of spaces.
Screen Saver
Three screen saver functions, which can be adapted,
prevent burn-in on a display caused by images with
constant brightness (such as data and still images.)
DICOM Simulated Gamma Setting
Gamma setting is in accordance with the DICOM
(Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine)
GSDF (Grayscale Standard Display Function)
standard.
Picture-in-Picture
Allows the picture from a secondary source to be dis-
played within the main picture.
Eco Mode
With the Eco mode function, power consumption is re-
duced using power-saving technology*. Compared
with Standard mode, power consumption using the
High setting is approximately 50% less in Eco mode
and using the Low setting is approximately 30% less
in Eco mode.* Brightness is also lowered.
Display Control via RS232C/RJ45
Enables monitoring of display status and control of
multiple displays over a LAN, VPN or the Internet us-
ing Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 7.0 or later.
Multi-Display
The FWD-S42H2 can present one dynamic large im-
age by combining up to 16 display units (1x2, 1x3,
1x4, 2x1, 3x1, 4x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4).
True Colour Control
The FWD-S42H2 duplicates colour expression in
product photos, company logos, etc.
700cd/m" Brightness
With direct LED 700 cd/m2 (typical) backlighting, the
FWD-S42H2 delivers images with high brightness and
clarity, even in large venues and in places with bright
ambient lighting.
Low power and environmentally-conscious
The FWD-S42H2 is designed to be energy efficient,
offering low power consumption with LED backlighting
(approx. 45% less than a conventional CCFL model
from Sony*) which saves on running costs.* Per unit

Slim installation Design
The depth of the FWD-S42H2 unit is approximately
80% that of a conventional CCFL model from Sony.
For slim installation, the Signal In and Out terminals
are incorporated into this profile, and do not protrude
from the unit.
