Water & Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or

Ventilation
Do not block areas of venlaon opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always in-
stall according to the manufacturer's instrucons.
Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
Power Cord and Plug
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched parcularly at plugs, conveni-
ence receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two poles;
a grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third prong is
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer to an
electrician for replacement.
Power Supply
In case of external power supply, the apparatus should be connected to the power sup-
ply only of the type as marked on the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to
do could result in damage to the product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus
during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of me.
Fuse
To prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of the recommended
fuse type as described in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit
turned o and disconnected from the AC outlet.
Electrical Connection
Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzol or alcohol.
Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Re-
fer all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/aachments
or parts recommended by the manufacturer.
Warning
Please remember the high sound pressure do not only temporarily damage your sense
of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be careful to select a suitable vol-

This user’s manual is made to provide both an overview of the controls, as well as in-
formaon on how to use them. In order to help you understand the links between the
various controls, we have gathered in groups according to their funcons.
BEFORE YOU START
Shipping
Your PMX-4 MKII powered mixer was carefully packed to ensure safe transport. Despite
this, we recommend you to carefully examine the packaging and its contents for any
signs of physical damage, which can occur during transport.

Getting started
Make sure there is enough space around the unit for proper venlaon and prevent
overheang; do not place the unit on top of hot devices such as radiators or power
ampliers. The console is connected to mains through the supplied cable. The product
meets the required safety standards. Blown fuses must be replaced with fuses of the
same type and specicaon.

INTRODUCTION
PMX-4 MKII is designed to be a powerful resource for live and educaonal purposes.
The friendly user interface is one of the best features of this product and allows you to
congure your sound device in a fast and easy way.
The 6-Channel Acve Mixer lets you plug microphones, instruments or any other audio
equipment thanks to the XLR inputs on CH1-4, the ¼” Jack inputs on CH1-3, the stereo
RCA inputs on CH4 and the 3mm jack input on Ch5/6 that allows you to plug a comput-
er, a smartphone, a portable MP3 player etc.
Each channel features a 2- Band EQ to beer tune your sound. You can also use the
3-band EQ on the master secon in order to adjust the overall sound to the character-
iscs of the environment in which you’re going to play.
The system is equipped with a built-in 24bit Reverb+Delay with level adjustment on
channels 1-4. In the FX secon you can adjust the eect master level, me and repeat.
Finally, the mulmedia player reads MP3 les from the A-Type USB connector and the
SD-Card slot, displaying al playback informaon through the wide LCD.

POWER AND SPEAKERS CONNECTIONS
CHANNEL STRIP
(1) - Use this XLR input to connect a Microphone. The Input Impedance is 2KOhm.

(2) - Use this 1/4” Jack input to connect a Guitar, a Keyboard, a Drum Machine or any
other Jack based source.
(3) - This Stereo Input can be used to connect a CD player or other RCA based line
sources.
(4) - These controls allow you to adjust the Equalizaon of each Channel:
LO adjust Bass frequencies +/- 15 dB with 80Hz cut point
HI adjust High Frequencies +/- 15 dB with 12KHz cut point
(5) - VOLUME knob adjusts the level of each channel
(6) - This knob regulates the amount of the FX for each Channel
FX SECTION
PMX-4 MKII is equipped with a genuine 24-bit DSP featuring a Delay/Reverb
eect used to add more emphasis to voices.
These 3 knobs allow to adjust:
LEVEL - the total amount of the FX to send to the Master Secon
TIME - the interval between 2 delays
REPEAT - the rate of the delays
EQ SECTION
As explained above, each channel has got his own equalizaon but, in order
to improve the overall frequency response, there is also a general 3-band EQ
that helps to dene the nal mix result.
The 3 knobs adjust:
LO - adjust Bass frequencies +/- 15 dB with 80Hz cut point
MID - adjust Middle frequencies +/- 15dB with 3 KHz cut point
HI - adjust High Frequencies +/- 15 dB with 12KHz cut point

LINE IN, MONITOR OUT & RCA
(1) - This input is used to connect a stereo line
source like an MP3 player, a computer or a smart-
phone with a 3,5mm jack.
(2) - This stereo output is used to connect to a
pair of acve speakers or stage monitors. The sig-
nal is a copy of master out.
(3) - This RCA input accepts a stereo line source
like a CD/DVD player or a TAPE recorder. The lev-
el of this input can be adjusted with the related
control placed next to the Master Knob.
(4) - REC OUT output provides a line-level stereo
signal of the main mix used for sending to a re-
corder.

MASTER SECTION
These 2 knobs controls respecvely:
- the amount of CD/Tape input signal to send to Master
Out
- the overall Volume (what you will hear trough the
speakers)
DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER
It manages all selecon and playback funcons of the compressed audio les accessi-
ble via the USB port or the SD-Card slot. The controller provides 9 buons and a wide
LCD to display tles, me code and other informaon of the song playing. Following a
list of all display features:

(1)Play/Pause Press this buon to play the chosen song. Press it again to momen-
tarily interrupt the playing. Press a third me to connue plying the
song.
(2) Stop Press this buon to end the song
(3)Volume+ Use this buon to increase the Volume
(4)Volume- Use this buon to disincrease the Volume
(5) Next Song Press this buon once to go to the next song.
(6)PrevSong Press this buon once to go to the previous song.
(7) Repeat Press this buon once to play the current song repeatedly
(8) EQ Use this buon to select dierent Equalizaon preset (Normal,
Jazz,Rock,Pop,Classic)
(9)USB/SD This buon let you choose between USB or SD card source
SPEAKER OUTPUTS
These outputs are connected to passive speakers.
Connect a passive speaker to LEFT output and a
second speaker to RIGHT output. The impedance of
each speaker must be 4 ohms.

MAINS AND FUSE
Make sure the mains is the same as indicated on
the rear panel of the unit (230 Vac / 50 Hz) and de-
scribed in the technical specicaons of this man-
ual.
POWER ON/OFF
It switches the unit ON (I) and OFF (O).
FUSE
When replacing the fuse, in order to avoid the risk
of re and damaging the unit, please use only the
recommended fuse type as described on the rear
panel of the unit (T2A). Before replacing the fuse,
make sure the device is switched o and unplugged from the outlet.

INSTALLATION
Cable Connections
You will need several cables for the various connecons to and from the console. See
the pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use only
high quality cables.
Audio connections
Use commercial RCA cables to wire TAPE IN and REC OUT.
You can, of course, also connect unbalanced equipment to the inputs / outputs bal-
anced. Use either mono and stereo jack, making sure ring and collar are connected

together (or pins 1 & 3 in the case of XLR connectors).

WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warran-
ty is specic to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
• Any accessories supplied with the product
• Improper use
• Fault due to wear and tear
• Any modicaon of the product eected by the user or a third party
SOUNDSATION shall sasfy the warranty obligaons by remedying any material or
manufacturing faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discreon either by repair or
by exchanging individual parts or the enre appliance. Any defecve parts removed
from a product during the course of a warranty claim shall become the property of
SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defecve products may be returned to your local
SOUNDSATION dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any damages
in transit, please use the original packaging if available. Alternavely you can send the
product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto Re-
cana - Italy . In order to send a product to service center you need an RMA number.
Shipping charges have to be covered by the owner of the product.

Acqua e umidità

vanicare la nalità di sicurezza della spina con messa a terra. Una spina normale o
“polarizzata” ha due soli terminali; una spina con messa a terra ha un terzo polo di
terra. Questo ulteriore terminale serve per la vostra sicurezza. Se la spina fornita non si
inserisce nella presa, consultare un elericista per l’eventuale sostuzione.
Alimentazione
L’apparecchio deve essere collegato alla sorgente di alimentazione elerica del po in-
dicato sull’apparecchio o descrio nel manuale. In caso contrario si potrebbero provo-
