1,Battery:
This unit uses 4 UM3/AA/R6 size 1.5V batteries (not included). nsert batteries correctly with “+” and “–”
polarities as directed inside the battery compartment, wrong polarities insertion will cause damage to the unit.
Do not use new and old batteries together.
f the unit is disconnected from power source, reapplying the electric supply to the unit within 30 seconds can
preserve all settings inside the memory, otherwise, the preset data will be erased, and it is required to re-write
the memory again.
Battery Low Indicator: f the batteries are out of electric power, the low batteries icon goes solid. t is
suggested to replace the old batteries as soon as possible.
It is important to use 7.5V adapter with positive “ ” polarity located at interior, as the symbol illustrated
beside the Adapter Input. Use adapters with wrong polarity or voltage will cause damage to the unit.

Note: t is recommended to always put 4pcs of UM3 battery inside the battery compartment as back up power,
even when external adapter is used. So as to avoid the discontinuity of electric supply.
Protect the unit from high humidity and avoid putting it on wet surface.

2 How to used
 s the unit is powered up, the date and clock are defaulted to Tuesday,1
st
Jan 2008,0:00.
The two alarms are defaulted to 0:00,
The unit is standby mode
2.1 Auto-run Mode (Radio OFF
Press <Mode> once go to different mode sequentially

2.2 Set the clock
Press <Mode > once when the unit stays in clock display mode
The clock goes flashing
Press <Up> to advance the clock by 1 minute
Press <Down> to move the clock back by 1 minute
Press and hold <Up> or <Down> to set the clock in fast mode
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the current setting is confirmed and it switches to auto-run
mode
2.3 Set the date
Press <Mode> twice, the current date goes flashing in the format of dd. mm. yy
Press <Up> or <Down> to change the current setting by 1 day per step. Press and hold <Up> or <Down>
to change the setting in fast mode .
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the current setting is confirmed and it switches to auto-run
mode automatically.
2.4 Set the local city
Press<Mode> three. The current setting of the local city goes flashing with 'LOC L CITY' solid.
The hour and minutes in the time section together with the day-flag are all cleared.
Press <Up> or <Down> to select the desired time zone represented by different city abbreviation:
The “SUN” reflects the status of daylight saving, press < Snooze > to change it.
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, it switches to auto-run mode automatically.

2.5 Review the world time
Press <Mode> again or four times, the previously accessed time zone goes solid in the hour-minute
section with the corresponding city abbreviation goes flashing in the right. ‘CITY’ goes solid at the top.
Press <Up> or <Down> to select the desired time zone according to the table in 2.4.
Press <Snooze> to change the daylight saving of that time zone. The current status is reflected by the
‘SUN ON’, then disappear after 5 seconds, press again <Snooze> ‘SUN OFF’ flash in LCD.
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the current setting is confirmed and it switches to auto-run
mode automatically.
2.6 Set the SDA
Press <Mode> fifth time,the date & ‘SD ’ goes flashing alternative.
Press <Page> to select 1-10 SD which want to set
Press <Up> or <Down> to set the Special Date.
Press < Snooze > to ignore the year
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the current setting is confirmed and it switches to auto-run
mode automatically.
n case of ignore the year the SDA will be active ever year at same date
2.7 Area selection for MW
Press <Mode>sixth times, the current area “EU 9K” goes solid.
Press <Up> once to change the area to “EU” and “EU 9K” goes solid
Press <Down> once to change the area to ‘US’ and “US 10K” goes solid.
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the current setting is confirmed and it switches to auto-run
mode automatically.
2.8 Set the duration for Snooze
Press <Mode> seventh times set the duration for snooze.
Press <Up> to advance the time by 1 minute
Press <Down> to move the time back by 1 minute
Press and hold <Up> or <Down> to set the clock in fast mode
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the current setting is confirmed and it switches to auto-run
mode automatically.
The duration of snooze is from 1~59 minutes.
2.9 12/24 hours mode
Press <Mode>eight times.
Press <Up> display 24 hours clock, press <Down> display 12 hours clock and .
2.10 Sleep Mode
Press <Sleep> once to review the current sleep timer. Or ‘ON’ goes solid if sleep has not been activated
Press <Sleep> again the change the current setting down to the nearest multiple of 10 minutes within
90-10 min.
Press <Sleep> when the current setting is 10 min, ‘OFF’ goes solid which implies the sleep will be switched
off.
Press other key to start its corresponding function with the current sleep timer setting valid
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the system goes back to auto-run mode with sleep timer
setting valid.
2.11 Timer setting (Radio Off
Press and hold <Page> to enter STOP W TCH, display shows“00.00.0.U”
Press <Snooze> once to start, the timer’s max value is 99 minute and 59 second.
Press <Snooze> again to pause.
Press and hold <Snooze> to clear the timer.
Press <Page> to leave the timer.
When it counts up to the max value, the system returns to stay in 99.59.0 and flashing.
2.12 The Countdown Timer setting (Radio Off
Press and hold <Memory Scan> to enter the timer preset mode, display shows “d 00.00”
Press <Up> or <Down> to adjust the down-count value.
Press <Snooze> once start to down-count timer,press <Snooze>again snooze timer.
When the time down counts to 00.00, the voice “be…be…be…be…be” will be heard for one minute.

5 countdown times are preset on the memory button, the duration countdown timer of M0/5 is defaulted to
10minutes; M1/6 is defaulted to 30minutes; M2/7 is defaulted to 45minutes; M3/8 is defaulted to
60minutes; M4/9 is defaulted to 90minutes;.
Press <Memory Scan> again to leave the down-count timer preset mode
2.13 Alarm1 and Alarm2 setting
Press <Alarm1> or <Alarm2> once, ‘ larm1’ or ‘ larm2’ goes solid in the alphanumeric section.
The current setting of HH:MM and the type of alarm goes flashing.
Press <UP> to advance the setting by 1 minute
Press <Down> to move the setting back by 1 minute
Press and hold <UP> or <Down> to change the setting in fast mode
Press <Snooze> to change the type of alarm between daily, weekend and weekday.
Press and hold <SNOOZE> enter the single day mode; press <SNOOZE> to select the day and the
corresponding week goes solid. Press and hold <SNOOZE> again to exit.
Press same alarm key, which is <Alarm1> or <Alarm2>, once to select the output format of the alarm
Output format LCD display
Beep sound ‘Bell’ symbol goes solid
Radio output ‘Radio’ symbol goes solid
Disable ll the ‘Bell’ and ‘Radio’ are cleared
When no key has been pressed for 10 seconds, the system goes back to auto-run mode
2.14 When SDA is active
When the date/month/(year) matches with the SD which has been enable, alert becomes active at
8:00 M
s the SD active, Sound of beep toggles at the Speaker for 10 minutes, Muted Radio even radio ON &
The “SD ” goes flash on LCD display
The beep will sound ever hour for 10 minutes until 23:00
Press any key to start its corresponding function and the SD will be terminate
2.15 When alarm is active
When the real time clock matches with the alarm which has been enabled, alarm becomes active
s the alarm becomes active, the sleep mode, if exists, is terminated immediately
If Beep sound alarm is selected,
a ) Sound of beep toggles at the Speaker
b)Muted Radio even radio ON
c) The duration of alarm is 10 minutes
If Radio alarm is selected,
a) Radio On
b) the duration of the alarm is 60 minutes
To postpone the currently active alarm by 10 minutes, press <Snooze> once. The alarm will be stopped
and will become active again 10 minutes later.
To terminate the currently active alarm, press the corresponding key <Alarm1> or <Alarm2>.
2.16 Store into memory
There are 40 pages, 10 memory stations for each page of the radio
When the radio is ON,press <Mem.> once. The screen shows the memory page and ‘MEM’ goes flashing.
Press <Page> once,‘P GE’ goes flashing, and ‘00’ goes solid below the segment ‘P GE’ . Press again
<Down >or <Up> to select the page 0~39.
Press <M.0/5>~ <M.4/9> to select a memory space to store the station.
Press <Mem.> again to confirm the process of storing. Then, ‘MEM’ goes solid.
2.17 Fine Turn
When the radio is ON, press <Fine> once to active fine turn and “FINE” goes solid, after 5 seconds
disappear then display frequently
Press <Up> once to change the receiving frequency up by 1 micro step
Press <Down> once to change the receiving frequency down by 1 micro step.
Press <Fine> again shut off “FINE” function , “normal “will display after 5 seconds disappear then
frequently flash in LCD ,last return to normal turning.
This function is no effect in LW band.

2.18 Memory review
When the radio is ON, press <Memory Scan> once to scan memory stations.
The scanning starts from the next memory station or MEM-1 if no memory station is being selected.
Scanning will stop at each station for 5 seconds.
2.19 Setting Bass
When the radio on, press <Bass> once in bass display mode.
Press <Bass> again to shut off this function and volume recover normal.
2.20 Search Up/Down
When the radio is ON, press <Up> once to change the receiving frequency up by 1 step
Press <Down> once to change the receiving frequency down by 1 step.
Press and hold <Up> to search the next radio station by moving the receiving frequency up.
Press and hold <Down> to search the next radio station by moving the receiving frequency down.
2.21 AMS Using
Press <MEM> once to memory mode.
Press and hold <Memory Scan> 2 seconds to active MS mode. In this mode, the radio will automatically
store the station that had been scanned.
2.22 Display Mode
With the system stays in clock display mode and the radio is OFF, press <Fine> once, the time section and
day-flag are all cleared with the current mode of display is shown by the icon’, “CITY” ‘D TE’, and
‘CIT’ ,” D T”

Press <Fine> to go through the cycle of selection. If 'Date' and/or 'World Time' is selected, it/they will be
shown alternatively with the clock in the LCD when the radio is OFF.
When the radio is ON and the system stays in frequency display mode, only the frequency of the station
being received will be displayed no matter what has been selected by in display mode.
2.23 Electronic Volume Control
Only when radio is on,
Press < Volume +> once, to increase speaker volume by one step. Hold for continually.
Press < Volume – > once, to decrease speaker volume by one step. Hold for continually.
2.24 Key-lock
Press and hold the <MEM.> for 3 seconds, key-lock has been switched ON, the “KEYLOCK” goes solid,
2.25 LCD Backlight
Press any key to activate the LCD Backlight for 10 seconds.
When’ key-lock’ is active, only ‘Snooze’ have function.
2.26 Antenna
Maximum length and rotate it to a best position. For MW and LW band, an internal Ferrite-bar ntenna is
used, so you may turn the unit to different direction in order to have a better receiving result.
2.27 Stand
You may foldout Stand from the backside of the unit to an appropriate position, so that this unit can be
placed firmly on the table
