Take time to familiarize yourself with the use and maintenance of this equipment before using. Please file
this Instruction Sheet in an accessible location: the Instruction Sheet must be read and familiar to anyone
who is using Southpaw Enterprises Equipment.
Warning: Failure to properly install a forged
steel eyebolt (1/2” or 5/8”) may result in serious

IMPORTANT: KEEP ALL PARTS TOGETHER.
MINIMUM HEIGHT REQUIREMENT AND SPACE NEEDED
Height Requirement: 8 feet.
Space needed: Assure a clear distance of 6 feet from walls and other obstacles.
HEIGHT ADJUSTER OR SAFETY ROTATIONAL DEVICE NEEDED
• Southpaw Height adjuster (5000) is recommended but not included for ease of adjustment to proper height.
• Southpaw Safety Rotational Device (2000) must be used if suspended from a single point. Be sure to use
Southpaw Therapy Rope (150) and Eye Splice (151) with Southpaw Height Adjuster (5000).
WORKING LOAD: 450 lbs.
SUSPENSION PROCEDURES
• Attach your Linear Glider to your support eye bolts with the Safety Snaps provided.
• To suspend your Linear Glider from two points: Suspension points for a Standard Linear Glider must be between
3-1/2 feet and 4-1/2 feet apart. Suspension points for the Adult Linear Glider must be between 4-1/2 feet and
5-1/2 feet apart.
• To suspend your Linear Glider from four points: To suspend your Linear Glided from four points you will need two
additional Safety Snaps. The first suspension points for the Standard Linear Glider should be between 3-1/2 feet
and 4-1/2 feet apart and the second set of suspension points one to two feet parallel to the first. For the Adult
Linear Glider suspension points should be 4-1/2 feet to 5-1/2 feet apart with the second set parallel.
• To suspend your Linear Glider from one point: A Southpaw Safety Rotational Device must be used to prevent
damage by rotation.
MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the checklist enclosed.
• Check Safety Snaps for wear. See the enclosed Safety Snap Instruction Sheet for inspection guidelines.
• Check the ropes for loose or missing splice locks.
NOTE: A splice lock is the metal rope staple near both ends of the rope.

Safety Precautions - The safety of your clients is dependent on the appropriate choice of activity to match, yet challenge their
physical abilities. Use appropriate spotting / safety techniques. In addition, the layout of your activity area, proper installation and
maintenance of your equipment is critical. Southpaw equipment is not intended for recreational or outdoor use. Under no condition
should this equipment be used without proper supervision.

Check ceiling eye bolt for wear and movement. Use a Southpaw Safety Rotational Device to prevent
abnormal wear.
Floor mats of proper thickness should be positioned properly under and around all suspended
equipment.
CAUTION
• Check the ropes for wear at the top end where it rubs against the Safety Snaps and at the bottom end where it
goes through the holes in the board. If there is excessive wear, discontinue use and call Southpaw to replace
ropes.
• Check all wooden parts for chips or splinters. If found, discontinue use until repaired. To repair, sand smooth and
refinish with polyurethane.
• Check hook and loop fasteners on both the vinyl and the board to make sure they are securely attached.
• Check edge padding to see that it is securely attached. If edge padding is not attached securely, discontinue use
until repaired. Call Southpaw for repair or replacement.
STORAGE PROCEDURES
• Store out of direct sunlight.
• Store away from all chemicals and household cleaners.
• Store where not accessible by clients without proper supervision.
• Do not store on edge. This can cause damage to the padded edge.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
• Check with your infectious disease department before using these procedures.
• Check for client allergies first.
• Wipe vinyl with a damp cloth using soap and water or disinfectant. Dry before using.
• Vinyl pad may be cleaned with prescribed disinfectant. Dry before using.
• Do not immerse in water.
