Step 1. Install the CPU
Tomount thePentium
®
class processorthatyouhave purchasedseparately,followthese
instructions.
CPU Mount Procedure
1.
Liftthe sockethandleupto averticalposition.
2.
AlignthebluntedgeoftheCPUwiththematchingpinholedistinctiveedgeonthe
socket.
3.
Seattheprocessorinthesocketcompletelyandwithoutforcing.
4.
Thenclose thesockethandleto securetheCPUin place.
RemembertoconnecttheCPUCoolingFantotheappropriatepower
connector(CPUFAN) onthe Motherboard. Thefanisakeycomponentthat
willensure systemstability.Thefan preventsoverheating,therefore
prolongingthe lifeofyourCPU.

Afterthehardwareinstallationiscomplete,turnthepowerswitchon,thenpressthe
<DEL>
keyduringthesystemdiagnosticcheckstoentertheAwardBIOSSetupprogram.
TheCMOSSETUPUTILITYwilldisplayonscreen.Then,followthesestepstocomplete
thequick BIOSsetup.
Step 1. Select [LOAD SETUP DEFAULT]
Selectthe“LOADSETUPDEFAULT”menuandtype“Y”attheprompttoloadtheBIOS
optimalsetup.
Step 2. Select [STANDARD CMOS SETUP]
Set[Date/Time]and[Floppydrivetype], thenset [HardDisk Type]to “Auto”.

Step 1. Insert the SOYO CD into the CD-ROM drive
TheSOYOCDwillauto-run,andtheSOYOCDStartUpMenuwillbeasshown.
IfyouuseWindowsNT,theSOYO-CDwillnotdetectyourmotherboardtype.Inthatcase
thefollowingdialogwillpopup,pleasechooseyourmotherboardandpressOK.Nowthe
SOYO-CDStartUpMenuwillbeshown.
