OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
Whenoperatingthegaswaterheateralwaysmakesurethatthereisgoodventilation.Duringoperationthe
gaswaterheaterwillproducecarbonmonoxidewhichisharmfulifinhaledinlargequantities.Itis
thereforeimportantthatallusersstrictlyobservetheproperinstallationinstructionsanduseasprescribed
inthismanual.Repairofthisproductshouldnotbeundertakenbyotherthanauthorizedandqualified
personnel.

FEATURES
1Watercontrolled,fullyautomaticandeasytooperate.Openthewatervalve,startpumpto
startignition.Thehotwaterwillcomeoutimmediately.
2Closethewatervalve,stoppump.Thehotwaterstopsandtheflamegoesoutimmediately.
3Abilitytostartatverylowwaterpressure,applicableformanyplaces.
4Iftheflamegoesoutunexpectedlyduringuse,thegassupplywillshutoffautomaticallyto
protectagainstgasleakage.
5Ifthewaterpressureistoohigh,thewaterwillcomeoutfromthesecurityvalvetorelease
pressure,ensuringsafetyfortheapplianceandtheuser.
6Equippedwithaprotectionunittopreventover‐heatinginthewatertankand“dry‐burn”.
7Intheeventofpressurefluctuationsinthewatersupply,thewaterheaterwillmaintaina
relativelyconstantoutletwaterflow.

INSTALLATIONREGULATIONS
1. Itisforbiddentoinstallthiswaterheaterinaclosedroom.
Itmustbeinstalledinawell‐ventilatedarealargerthan
7.5㎡.Becausethewaterheaterrequiresalargerquantity
ofoxygenwhenworking,theareashouldhaveaminimum
air‐inductionopeningof0.06㎡(20x30cm).
2. Donotinstallthewaterheaterinalocationwithstrong
wind(unlessitisprotectedfromthewind);otherwise,the
flamemaygooutorcauseincompleteburning. (Fig.3)

3. Itisforbiddentoinstalltheheateroutsideifit’snotprotectedfromwindandrain,becausewind
andrainmayputouttheflame;Moreover,theappliancemightgetfrozenanddamagedinacold
winterseason.
4. Awatersupplywithaminimum0.02Mpawaterpressureisrequiredontheinstallationsiteto
ensurethenormaloperationofthewaterheater.
5. Werecommendacoldwatervalvebeinstalledclosetothewaterheaterformaintenance
convenience.SeeFig4.
6. Keepaminimumspacefromthewallorceilingontheinstallationsite.Keepclearofstove,
combustibleanddangerousobjects.SeeFig3.

7. Ifit’spossible,installthewaterheaterattheproperheightforeasyinspectionofburning,about
1.5m.
8. Makesureapropergaspipeareinstalledandmakesurethatthepiperemainsairtightandtheinlet
gaspressureis30mbar,2h/kgfornormaloperationoftheappliance.Ifusingapipedgassupply,
askthegassupplierorthegasadministrationauthorityforpipeconnecting.

INSTALLATION(PERMANENTWALLMOUNT)
Hangingandinstallingthewaterheater(forreferenceonly)
Marktheholesonthewall,thepositionissubjecttotheactualmodelofyourwaterheater,drill4holesof
8mm,putintheplasticdowelsifneeded.
1. Hangthewaterheater,tightenthescrews.
LOADINGTHEBATTERY
Thebatteryboxislocatedunderthewaterheater.Loadthebatteriesinthefollowingorder:SeeFig.1
1Openthecoverofthebatterybox.
2Loadtwo1.5Vbatteries(Dsize)intothebatterybox,makesureoftheproperpolarity.
Improperpolaritywillaffecttheperformanceofthewaterheater.
3Closethecoveronthebatterybox.

HosemustbedesignedforLPGgasandamaximumof1.2mlongand10
mminternaldiameter.Oraccordingtoothernationalstandard.
Attachmentofthehosemustbesecuredwithahoseclampatbothends.
Usetheincludedcouplingwithgasketsothatthegasketsitsagainstthe
gasinletontheheater.Ifusingapipedgassupply,askthegassupplierto
connectthepipe.Usepressurereducer30mbar,1,5‐2kg/h(not
included).Examplesofcorrectgasreducersandincorrectones
Thetypesofgascylindersandconnectionmethodsoflowpressureregulators(30mbar,1.5‐2kg/h)can
vary.Itisimportantthatthecorrectlowpressureregulatorisused.Hereareexamplesoftherighttypeand
alsoincorrecttypes.NEVERUSEanadjustablecontroller.
Notethattheamountofgasthatthestoveneedstogivefulleffectis1.5kg/h.Withaflowof1kg/h,the
effectwillbereduced.

page2).Beforeigniting,openthecold‐watervalve.Openthemastergasswitchandcheckthatthereisno
leakage(seefurtherinstructionsonpage7).

Starttheignition:Openthecoldwatervalve,(orstartthepump)theburnerattemptstoigniteaflamewith
arepeating“pa”sound,whichstopsafterignitionisachieved;hotwatercomesoutimmediately.
Note:Whenusingthisapplianceforthefirsttime,orafteralongidleperiodbetweenuses,repeated
ignitionattemptsareneededtodischargeanyairinthegaspipe.

‐Theknob"GAS"controlsthegasflowtotheburnerandthusthepower.
‐Therearethreesectionsforthegasburnerintheheater,oneinthemiddle,oneontheleftside
andoneontherightside.Whentheknob"Power"isintheMaxposition,allthreesectionsareon,
atMinonlythesectioninthemiddleisonandthepowerisabout8kW.
‐"Water"mustalwaysbesettoMax.IfitissettoMinthenthewaterflowthroughtheheat
exchangerwilldecreaseandresultinamuchhigherwatertemperatureoutoftheheatexchanger.
Thisresultsintheoverheatingthermostat,whichislocatedinthepipeoutoftheheatexchanger,
turningofftheheater.ATTENTION!Thiswillalsohappeninallsituationswherethewaterflow
dropsbelow7l/minandapossiblereasoncouldthenbethatthefilterinfrontofthepumpis
dirty.
‐Foratemporarystopduringuse,closethewatervalveorstopthepump.Theburnergoesout
automatically.Openthevalveorstartthehotwaterpumpagain.
‐NOTE:Becausethewaterinsidethewaterheaterwillbeveryhotduringatemporaryshutdown,
waitafewsecondsbeforecomingintocontactwiththewater.

Tostopthewaterheaterafteruse,closethehotwatervalveorstopthepump,theflameoftheburnerwill
gooutautomatically,andthewaterheaterstopsworking.Closethecoldwatervalveorpump.Closethe
mastergasvalve.

Checktheconnectionsofthegaspipe
regularlywithsoapywater(Fig.6)to
makesurethereisnogasleakage.In
caseofgasleakage,nevermakefireor
touchanyelectric‐switchesforthe
ventilationfan,etc.Donotconnector
disconnectanypowerplugs;otherwise,
aflameorsparkcouldignitethegas,
causingafireorexplosion.Closethe
mastergasvalve,openallthedoorsand
windowstoexhaustthegasoutsidethe
house.Stopusingthewaterheaterand
contactaservicedepartmentorthegas
supplier.

Regularlycheckthepipetomakesureofgoodairtightness.Ifcracked,replacethepipeatonce.Under
normalconditions,thegaspipeneedstobecheckedonceayear.
Ifthegaspipeiscracked,stopusingitandreplaceit.ForusersofPropane:iftheflameofthewater
heaterisinconsistent,itmaybeduetoamalfunctionofthegaspressurereducer,Stopusingthe
pressurereducerandreplaceit,orgetitrepairedandinstalledbyaprofessionaltechnician.NOTE!
Yellowflamecanalsobecausedbydirtintheburners.
Forusersofpipedgasornaturalgas:iftheflameisabnormal,itisduetoanunstablegaspressure.
Stopusingthewaterheatertemporarily.
Continuedusewilldamagethewaterheaterandpossiblycauseanaccident.
PREVENTFIRES
Itisabsolutelyforbiddentoleavetheburningwaterheaterunattended.Thewaterheatermustbestopped
beforegoingtobedorgoingout.
Itisforbiddentoputcombustibleorexplosiveobjectsclosetothewaterheater.Neverputatowelor
clothesontheexhaustvent.Agasleakagefromthegaspipecaneasilycausesafire.

PREVENTOXYGENDEPLETIONANDINCOMPLETEBURNING
•Becausealargequantityofoxygenisusedduringburning,theinstallationsiteforthewater
heatermustbewell.Duringoperation,thewaterheaterwillgiveofffumes;therefore,a
chimneymustbeinstalledtothewaterheatertoextractthefumesoutsidethehouseandkeep
freshairinthehouse,toensurecompleteburning.
PREVENTBURNSONEYES
•Uponignition,neverlookattheflamewitheyesclosetotheinspectionhole.Keepyoureyesa
minimumof300mmfromtheinspectionhole.Wait10‐20secondsbeforerepeatingignition.

OTHERIMPORTANTCAUTIONS
•PREVENTBURNSFROMHOTTEMPERATURES:ifthereisaneedtousehotwatershortlyafterthehot
watervalveisclosed,donotcomeintocontactwiththefirst‐hotwatercoming,asitcould
causeburnsduetoatemporaryhightemperature.
•PREVENTTHEHEATERFROMFREEZING:Inverycoldareas(withtemperaturesbelow0℃),moveitto
astorageplacewithoutriskforfreezing.
•Somepartsofthewaterheatermaybecomeloosedueduringtransportation.Incaseof
damagestotheexternalhousingafteropeningthepackage,getarepairmantocheckbefore
use.
REPLACETHEBATTERIES.
•Replacethebatteriesifyouseethefollowingsituationsuponignitionorasthewatercomes
out.
•Longerintervalofsoundsof“Pa‐Pa‐Pa”duringignition(approx.2soundsasecond)
•Theflamegoesoutshortlyafterignition.
•Thevoltagebetweenthepolesofthebatteryislowerthan2.9V.
HOWTOREPLACETHEBATTERIES:SEEPARAGRAPH“LOADINGTHEBATTERY”FORDETAIL
•Pleaseusemoistureproofbatterieswithasealedmetalshell.Undernormalconditions,the
batteriesneedreplacingonceayear.
ABNORMALHANDLE
•Incaseofabnormalburning(flame‐retraceseparatedflame,yellowflameordarksmokeetc.)
unexpectedsmell,noiseoremergency(earthquakeorfire),remaincalmtoclosethewater
heatertostopburning,closethegasvalveafterwardsandcontacttheservicedepartmentor
thegassupplier.
MAINTENANCE&SERVICES
•Thewaterheaterneedscleaningperiodically(generallyonceeveryhalfyear)toensureits
normalperformance.Checktheflamefrequently,incaseofayellowflamewithdarksmoke,
informtheservicedepartmentforcleaning.Tocleantheexternalhousing,pleasegentlymopit
withawetclothfollowedwithadrycloth.Ifthewaterheaterremainsunusedforalongtime,
coverthetoptopreventdust.Neverusechemicaldetergentsforcleaning;otherwise,the
externalhousingwouldbecomefadedandloseitsgloss.Allabnormalitiesmustonlybe
handledbyqualifiedpersonnel.
•Note:Theroominstalledwiththewaterheatermusthaveafixedopenair‐inductionopening.
Closedwindowsareineffective.
