POWERSOURCE
ThisAM/FMShower Radiooperateson4X AA’size(UM-3)batteries(3piecesontheleftforradioand1pieceontheright forclock).
1.UnlockandremovetheBatteryDoor(#2)asshowninabovediagram.
2.Followingthepolaritydiagram(+and-) asshowninsidethebatterycompartment,insert4X AA’size(UM-3)batteries(not
included).
3.ClosetheBatteryDoor(#2) andlocktheBatteryDooragain.
IMPORTANT:Besurethat thebatteriesareinstalledcorrectly.Wrongpolaritymaydamagetheunit.
4.For better performanceandlongeroperatingtime,werecommend theuseofalkaline-typebatteries.
5.(a)Donotmixoldandnewbatteries.
(b)Donotmixalkaline,standard(carbon-zinc)orrechargeable(nickel-cadmium)batteries.
6.If theunitisnottobe usedforan extendedperiodoftime, removethebatteries.Oldor leaking batteriescancausedamage to
theunitandwillvoidthewarranty.
7.Donotdisposeofbatteriesinfire,batteriesmayexplodeor leak.
SETTINGTHETIMEOFCLOCK
When batteryisfirstinstalled,presstheSetButton(#9)tostart runningtheclock.
1. Incurrent timemode,presstheModeButton(#8) fourtimes.Hourisdisplayed.
2. PresstheSet Button(#9)until thecorrect hourisdisplayed.
3. PresstheModeButton(#8)again.Minuteisdisplayed.
4. PresstheSet Button(#9)until thecorrect minuteisdisplayed.
5. PresstheModeButton(#8) tofinishsetting.
6. PresstheSet Button(#9) tostart theclock.
SETTINGTHEDATEOFCLOCK
1. Incurrent timemode,presstheModeButton (#8) twice.Monthisdisplayed.
2. PresstheSet Button(#9)until thecorrect monthisdisplayed.
3. PresstheModeButton(#8)again.Dateisdisplayed.
4. PresstheSet Button(#9)until thecorrect dateisdisplayed.
5. Toreturntoclockmode,pushtheModeButton(#9) threetimes.
RADIORECEPTION
1.TurnontheunitbyrotatingtheVolumeControl(#4) clockwiseuntila"click"isheard.
2.SettheBandSelector(#6) to"AM" or"FM" forthedesiredradioband.
3.TurntheTuningKnob(#5)toselect thedesiredradiostation.
4.When tuning inAMreception,besuretoplacetheunitinaverticalposition.ToinsuremaximumAMsensitivity,try
repositioningtheunituntilthebestreceptionisobtained.
5.AdjusttheVolumeControl(#4) toobtainthedesiredsoundlevel.
6.Turnoff theunitbyrotatingtheVolumeControl(#4) fullycounterclockwiseuntila"click"isheard.
CAUTION
YourAM/FMShowerRadiohasbeen constructed toresistmildsteamand lightsplashesfromthe showerorbathonly.It
shouldnot be operated underrunning waterand underno circumstancesshouldit befullyimmersed inwater.
CAREAND MAINTENANCE
1.Clean yourunit withadamp(neverwet)cloth.Solventordetergent shouldneverbe used.
2.Avoidleaving yourunitindirect sunlightorinhot, humidordustyplaces.
3.Keep yourunit awayfromheating appliancesand sourcesof electricalnoisesuchasfluorescent lampsormotors.
4.Yourunithasrubbersealstominimizetherisk ofmoisturegettinginside.However,do notimmerseitinwatersince
permanent damage tothe electricalandmechanicalpartswillresult.

5.Always clean the outside ofthe cabinetthoroughlyifitbecomeswetwithmoistureorwatersplashes.Thiswill helpto
prevent the internalpartsoftheunitfrom entryof waterand possiblemoisturedamage.

installation.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevision reception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturning
theequipmentoffandon, theuser isencouragedtotrytocorrect theinterferencebyoneormoreofthefollowingmeasures:
-Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
-Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.
-Connecttheequipment intoan outletonacircuitdifferent fromthat towhichthereceiver isconnected.
-Consult thedealeroranexperiencedradiotechnician for help.
