Installation guide for
In-Building omni antennas
1 Introduction and safety advice
This instruction shall provide information how to install the antenna with mounting kits.
The installation of Thin Omni Chip antennas is not recommended for metal ceilings or nearby
any metallic materials. Additional Isolation/Absorbing accessories can be applied for improving
the Antenna VSWR value.
All shown tasks are intended to be carried out by qualified personnel only. Safety rules apply
(e.g. for working with heavy loads, radio frequency power signals or tools). In order to prevent
damage to equipment and humans, make sure that no RF power is present at the combiner
during installation.
Please note that satisfactory performance of the system (especially in terms of inter-
modulation) can only be achieved if all jumper cables and connectors are handled properly.
Please make sure that all connectors are clean and free from metal dust or dirt. Avoid sharp
bends of the connecting jumper cables.

2 Installation
2.1 Install the antenna
Method 1: Install the antenna in the suspended ceiling with plastic nut.
Drill a hole with Ø ≥22mm diameter into suspended ceiling and secure the antenna with
supplied plastic nut (T13mm, M49mm).
The method is applicable for antennas A77137, A77137C0001, A77141, A77142,
A77142C0001, A77143, A77144, A77145, A77146, A77146C0001, A77146C0002,
A77146C0003, A77147 and A77148.
Method 2: Install the antenna in the suspended ceiling with tighten screws.
Drill a hole with Ø ≥22mm diameter into suspended ceiling in order to secure the connectors
of antenna. Then drill 4 holes with 6mm diameter into suspended ceiling, put the plugs in the
holes. Lock the antenna with tighten screws (M4*25mm), then cover lids.
The method is applicable for antenna A77137, A77137C0001, A77142, A77142C0001,
A77143, A77146, A77146C0001, A77146C0002, A77146C0003, A77147 and A77148.

Method 3: Install the antenna in the suspended ceiling with plastic nut.
The method is applicable for antenna A77670.
Step 1: Make a hole in the ceiling larger than M28mm.
Step 2: The antenna connector passes through the through hole.
Step 3: When the nut is tightened, it is finished.

2.2 Warning:
As shown below, the cable of antenna can’t be bent 180° and bending diameter can’t be <
40mm.

2.3 Install the mounting accessory (absorbing/Mounting accessory)
Step 1: Drill an M29 joint hole and three M6 screw holes in the ceiling.
Step 2: First insert the plastic expansion pin into the M6 hole.
Step 3: Fix the absorbing cotton layer to the ceiling with M4*25 screws.

Step 4: Secure the antenna to the antenna absorbing material component with M4*25 screws.
Step 5: It is finished.
3 Operation
After carrying out all described steps, the antenna is ready for use. Make sure that the
specified environmental conditions for operation are not exceeded.
