PLEASEOBEYTHESEPRECAUTIONSFORBATTERYUSE&CHARGING
a) Pleasedonotchargethebatteryinasealedcontainerorinupsidedownposition.
Itisrecommendedtochargethebatteryinawellventilatedarea.
b) Pleasedonotchargethebatterynearaheater,orwhereheataccumulationmay
occurorindirectsunshine.
c) Inordertoprolongtheservicelifeofthebattery,pleaseavoidcompletedischarge
andchargethebatteryaftereveryuse.Whenthetrolleyisnotinuseforan
extendedperiodoftime,itisrecommendedtochargethebatteryonceamonth.
d) Thebattery’spolesredcolorstandsforpositive,andtheblackfornegative.Incase
ofbatteryreplacementpleasereconnectthepolesofthebatterycorrectly.

4.1BatteryCharging&Maintenance
TheSPITZEREL6isequippedwithanadvancedultra‐lightweightLithiumtypebattery.It
requiresspecialcaretoprolongitslifeandensureoptimalperformance.Pleasefollow
theseimportantinstructionsandsafetytipswhenchargingthebattery.
ChargingInstructions:
1.Ensurepoweristurnedoffandremovethebatteryfromthechassis.
2.Connectthebatterypacktothechargerandplugintowall.
3.ChargerwilldisplaygreenLEDwhenthebatteryisfullycharged.

BatteryChargingNotes:
‐Thechargecurrentshouldnotexceed2Acurrent,ifthechargecurrentexceeds
thespecifiedvalue,itwilldamagethebatterychargeanddischargeperformance,
mechanicalperformanceandsafetyperformanceandpossiblycausethebatteryto
overheatheatorleak.
‐Donotchargethebatterywithavoltagehigherthanthespecifiedvoltage25.2Vto
avoiddamageofthebattery.
‐Onlyusethesuppliedcharger.Useofanunspecifiedchargermaydamagethe
batteryandinvalidatethewarranty.
‐Prohibitreversechargingofthebattery.Thebatterymustbeconnected
correctly.
‐Thechargersuppliedisanauto“smart”charger.Itwillceasechargingwhenit
detectsthebatteryis“full”.Itisstillrecommendedtodisconnectthecharger
oncethebatteryisfullycharged.

1. Fullychargethisbatteryifyouplantostoreitinanon‐usestateforanextended
periodoftime.
2. Takecareinhandlingthebattery.Ifthebatteryisdroppedorhitagainstasolid
object,itwillshortenthebattery’slife.
3. Pleasestorethebatteryinasecurelocation,outofreachfromchildren.
4. Fortheinitial/firstchargeofthebatteryensurethatchargethebatterynoless
than8hourstomaximizeitscapacity
5. Neverplacethechargerontopofthebatterywhencharging.
6. Keepthebatteryinanormalenvironmentawayfromexcessiveheatandfrom
dampenvironments.
7. Thebatteryisonlydesignedforthistrolley,plsdon’tuseitonanyotherdeviceor
otherpurpose
Thebatteryisaconsumableitem.Itsperformancewillgraduallydeteriorateduring
itsnormaloperation‐thisisanormalphenomenon.Whenthebatterynolonger
holdsenoughcharge,pleasecontactSpitzerforpurchaseofareplacementbattery.

5.0CaddySelf‐Test(IMPORTANT)!
Pleaserevieworfollowthesestepsandguidelinestotestyourcaddypriortouseevery
time.
5.1Non‐MovingTest(InitialTest)
BeforeactuallyusingtheSPITZERcartforthefirsttime,itisrecommendedyouoperatethe
golfcartelevatedatthedrivewheelstofamiliarizeyourselfwithhowthecartworks.
Elevateyourcartwithapaintcanorasimilarsizedandstrengthitemallowingyourcart’s
drivewheelstofreelymovewithouttouchingtheground.Thepicturesbelowillustrate
anexampleofhowthecartcanbeelevatedforthistest.FollowthestepsinSection7.2
withthecartelevatedinthismanner.
5.2MovingTest(Priortoeachuse)
Makesurethistestisperformedwiththecaddyinawideandsafearea,freeof
obstructionsorvaluables,suchaspeople,parkedautomobiles,flowingtraffic,furnitureor
waterbodies(rivers,swimmingpoolsetc.),steephills,cliffsorsimilarhazards.
Thefunctionsofthecaddyarecontrolledthroughwirelesscontrolfob.Thevariable
speedcontrolknobonthefobcontrolsthespeedandtheStop/Startfunctionsofthe
caddy.
1. Ensurethevariablespeedcontrolknobisatits“0”position.Toverify,theknob
shouldbeturnedcounterclockwise.
2. Turnthemainswitchto“On”(I)position.
3. Turningtheknobforward(clockwise)willincreasetheforwardmovementspeedof
thecaddy.
4. Toslowdownorstopthecaddy,turntheknobbackwards(counterclockwise).
5. Inordertoimmediatelystopthecaddypressdownonroundspeedcontrolknob
locatedonthewirelesscontrolfob!!
Makesureyouareclosetothecaddyatalltimeswhiletestingitandfamiliarizing
yourselfwiththewirelesscontrolfob!
Thewirelesscontrolfobisdesignedtohavearangeofapproximately50yards,butitis
stronglyrecommendtooperatethecaddyincloserrangesof10yardstobeabletoreact
toanyunforeseenevents,suchasothergolferscrossingyourpathortoavoidhidden
obstructions(creeks,bunkers)oranunexpecteddisconnectioninremoteoperation.

5.3RecommendationsforEfficientandSafeOperation
Bealertandactresponsiblyatalltimeswhileoperatingyourcaddy,justasyou
wouldwhenoperatingaridingcart,motorvehicleoranyothertypeofmachinery.
Weabsolutelydonotrecommendtheconsumptionofalcoholoranyother
impairingsubstanceswhileoperatingourcaddies.
Donotoperatethecaddyinnarrowordangerousspaces,placeswithvaluablesor
anypeoplegatheringareas,suchasparkinglots,closetoflowingtraffic,bag
drop‐offareas,stores,drivingranges,puttinggreensandpracticeareas,proshops,
restaurants,starterareasandotherareaswherepeopleoritemscouldbeharmed
throughanerrororlackofskillinoperation.Insuchsituationsthecaddyshouldbe
bestoperatedwithitsmanualcontrolsorwithoutpower.Also,pleasemakesure
toalwaysswitchoffthepower(“0”)andsecurethecaddywhenyouparkand
leavetheunitforanyreason,eitheronoroffcourse.
Withitsoptimizedbalanceandstraightfrontwheelthecaddyhasextraordinarily
narrowandresponsiveturningandmaneuveringabilities.However,itsometimes
tendstoreacttosevereunevenweightdistributionofitsloadorsteepslope
variationsandfollowstheslopeofthegolfcourse.Therefore,pleasemakesurethe
weightinyourbagisdistributedevenly(moveheavyballsanditemstobothsides,
orshiftthebagonthecaddy).Also,whenoperatingyourcaddybyremotecontrol
anticipatetheslopeofthecourseinordertoavoidfrequentcorrectionsin
directions.Insomeextremeenvironments,suchasveryuneventerrain,steephills,
narrowand/orslopedcartpaths,muddyareas,gravelpaths,closetobunkersand
hazard,aroundbushesandtreesitisrecommendedtooperatethecaddyvia
manualcontrolinordertopreventanycollisions,damageortheneedfor
complicatedcorrectionadjustmentmaneuvers.

6.0AdditionalFunctions
6.1Free‐WheelMode
Thecaddycanbeoperatedwithoutpower.Inordertoactivatethefreewheelmodeturn
themainpowerswitchinto“Off”position.Thecaddynowcanbepushedmanually
withoutresistancefromthedriveshaft.
6.2WirelessControlFobFrequencySynchronization
Onecontrollercanbesynchronizedwithonetrolley.Performthewirelessfobcontroller
synchronizationprocessasfollows:
1.Turnoffthepowerbyholdingthe"Power"keyonthecontrolboxuntilthepowerlight
turnsoff.
2.Pressandholdthe"distancecontrol30"keyonthecontroller,atthesametimeturnon
thepoweronthecontrolbox.IfthePowerLEDindicatoronthecontrolfobisflashing
withgreenlights,itmeansthisremotecontrollersynchronizedwiththetrolley.

7.0GeneralMaintenance
Thestepsbelowwillensurethatyouexperienceaprolongedandreliablelifeoutofyour
SPITZEREL6.
1) TheCaddyhasbeendesignedsothattheusercanconcentrateonplayinggolf,whilethe
caddydoestheworkofcarryingyourbag.InordertokeepyourSPITZEREL6lookingat
itsbest,weadvisethatyouwipeanymudorgrassfromtheframe,wheelsandchassis
aftereveryroundwithadampclothorpapertowel.
2) DoNOTusehosesoranyhigh‐pressurejetwasherstopreventmoistureenteringthe
electronicsystems,motorsorgearboxesofthecaddy.
3) Removetherearwheelseveryfewweeksandremoveanydebristhatmightcausethe
wheelstodrag.Applyahydrophobiclubricant,suchWD‐40tokeepmovingparts
smoothandcorrosionfree.
4) Afour‐fivehourroundofgolfplayedonceaweekfor12monthsisequivalenttofour
yearsuseofalawnmower,sopleaseinspectyourcartatleastonceayearthoroughly,
andifyounoticeanysymptomsofwear,contactyourSPITZERServiceCenter.
Alternatively,youcanhaveyourcaddyinspectedandtunedbyourServiceCenter,soit’s
alwaysingreatshapeforthenewseason.
5) Alwaysdisconnectthebatterywhenyoustorethecaddy,andalwaysputyourcaddy
togetherbeforere‐connectingthebattery.Ifyouarenotplanningtoplayforatleasta
month,storethebatteryinawarmanddryplace(notonconcretefloor).
AlloftheserecommendationswillhelpkeepyourSPITZEREL6intopconditionandensure
thatitremainsyourreliablepartner,bothonandoffthecourse.

8.0ElectronicSystems
WirelessControlFobRange:Werecommendnotexceeding10yardsdistance.The
greaterthedistancebetweenyouandcaddy,thegreaterthechanceoflosing
contactwithit.
Microcomputer:Thecaddyhas2microcomputercontrols:Thefirstisinmain
controllerbox.Thesecondisintheremotecontroltransmitterhandset.
SafetyProtection:Whenthetemperatureofthecontrollerboxreachesitsupper
limitincaseofanoverloaditwillautomaticallyshutdowntocooloff.
MicroprocessorControlledElectronicsSystem:Whenyouconnectthebattery,the
electronicssystemwillautomaticallyrunthroughastart‐uproutine.Thenyoucan
pressthemainOFF/ONswitchonthehandle.Thebatterychargeindicatorlightswill
showyouthechargelevelofthebatteryfromgreen(fullycharged)tored
(discharged).
Important:Theelectronicscontrollerboxcontainsnouserserviceableparts.
Therefore,itissealedtoreducetheriskofmoistureenteringandimpactingthe
electronicsystem.Breakingthissealincreasestheriskofdamagingtheelectronics
anddecreasingthereliabilityofyourcaddy.DONOTattempttoopenthecontroller
case.Doingsowillvoidthewarranty.
