4G, LTE INTERNET CONNECTIONS
An inbuilt 4G, LTE modem ensures a quality
Internet connection. The Sprintshield
PROALERT also requires a nano-sized
telecom operator SIM-card for its operation
and automatic Silent updates.
The SIM-card socket is located on the back
of the Sprintshield PROALERT under a
protective cover. Unscrew and remove the
cover and insert the SIM-card. Be careful to
properly orient the SIM-card. Put the cover
back and screw up for proper humidity and
dust protection.
2

DOCKING STATION OVERVIEW
An inbuilt 4G, LTE modem ensures a quality Internet
connection. The Sprintshield PROALERT also requires
a nano-sized telecom operator SIM-card for its
operation and automatic Silent updates.
The docking station performs several
important functions. It connects the
Sprintshield PROALERT to:
- The Power supply: which powers the unit
while the unit is docked and charges the
internal battery at the same time. It has a
1m cable with a USB-A connector. It can
be plugged into a supplied 12 V to 5 V
adapter or to any USB charging socket.
- The external speaker cable: 1m in length
with a 3,5 mm female mono socket at the
end. Can be connected to the external
speaker to the socket.
- The GPS SMA female pigtail 25cm long
cable: connect to the supplied external
GPS antenna.
- LED diode (red, blue) 1,5m long cable.
Warning! The Docking station routes a signal
from the GPS antenna to the Sprintshield
PROALERT. When the Sprintshield PROALERT
is removed from the docking station it will have
difficulty determining its geographic location
and thus alerting functions will be limited.
Use the un-docked battery operation for editing
settings and setup performing.

vehicle part. The antenna is connected to the
docking station directly and to the Sprintshield
PROALERT via pogo pins.
The Power converter (adapter) that converts
vehicle 12 V power supply to 5 V is also
supplied. Connect the red wire to the positive
switched power supply +12 V and the black
