Thank you for your purchase of the SP300A Square Perfect A Series Pro
Flash. This flash is a very high quality professional strobe that will give you
years of service. It is perfect for commercial studios, location photogra-
phers as well as advanced amateurs. You can use this strobe for a main
light, fill light, back light, or hair light. With the variable power setting you
will have complete control over your light output. It is perfect for film or
digital cameras. Please read this manual carefully before use, and keep it
handy for use during break down of equipment. For ordering spare bulbs
out our extended line of photo equipment now available.

1. Make sure all switches are in the “OFF” position prior to use. Attach power cord into the Power Cord Port (12) in the
ash unit and plug other end of the cord into a grounded AC120V/60Hz wall outlet.
NOTE: NEVER tamper with grounding pin or attempt to use the power cord if it has been altered.
2. Turn the Main Power Switch (8) to the “ON” position. The green Power Indicator Light (9) will go on and the unit is now charging.
3. When the Recycle Indicator Light (3) turns on, you will hear a beep. This indicates that the ash has charged to 70%.
The ash will be fully charged after hearing a second beep.
4. For continuous lighting that synchronizes with the ash power, adjust the Modeling Lamp Dial (2) to the desired power.
Turning the Modeling Continuous Lighting Switch upward in the ( - ) position gives continuous lighting that will change with
the ash power simultaneously. For constant light, turn the Modeling Lamp Continuous Lighting Switch downward in the ( = )
position. This will maintain continuous light at full strength and will not change with the ash power. To turn the Modeling
Lamp OFF, move the switch to the ( O ) position.
5. Use the built-in Photocell (7), Test Button (1) or Sync Port (11) to re the ash. Get output from 1/8 to full power using
the Fully Variable Power Dial (10).
6. To replace 5A fuse: MAKE SURE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE OPENING SOCKET COVER. Push on the Fuse Cover (13)
to expose the fuse. Use tweezers to pull out the old fuse and insert new. Close cover when complete.

ALWAYS Inspect your equipment before use. DO NOT attempt to use if damaged. Inspect cords and plugs
thoroughly before use. Use only in a grounded outlet with proper voltage.
DANGER! NEVER ATTEMPT TO REPAIR OR DISMANTLE THIS UNIT. HIGH VOLTAGE!
DO NOT attempt to move the unit while modeling lamp is in use. Make sure to turn unit off and unplug before
moving or transporting.
CLEAN THIS FLASH WITH CAUTION! DO NOT EXPOSE TO MOISTURE. CLEAN BULBS AND TUBES WITH A
CLEAN DRY CLOTH ONLY. ALWAYS ALLOW TO COOL BEFORE CLEANING.
DO NOT leave unit on or unattended for extended periods of time as the unit will get very hot and may overheat.
Always shut unit off when not in use.
Store unit in a warm dry place with power switch OFF and the cord removed, especially if it will not be in use for
more than 4-5 days. For best ash life, charge up and use your ash at least one to two times a week to keep the
capacitor healthy.

Square Perfect products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one year
from the date of purchase. Within this period, Square Perfect will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any
components that fail during normal use. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by abnormal or
unreasonable use, including any repair or attempted repair by anyone other than a certied Square Perfect
authorized service technician, use of replacement parts that are not OEM parts, in addition to incidental or
consequential damages. Using this product for anything other than its original intended purpose or altering
this product in any way will void this warranty.There is a 30 day limited warranty on all consumable parts
including fuses, ash bulbs and/or light bulbs as applicable.
If your Square Perfect product has a manufacturers defect covered by our warranty, we will either repair or
replace it, at our option, without charge or refund. Such repairs, or items deemed to be eligible for replace-
ment, will be made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor, provided that the customer shall be
responsible for all shipping costs. This warranty does not apply to: A. cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks
and dents; B. consumable parts, such as fuses and light bulbs, unless product damage has occurred due to a
defect in materials or workmanship; C. damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, ood, re, or other
acts of nature or external causes; D. damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized
service provider of Square Perfect; or E. damage to a product that has been modied or altered without the
written permission of Square Perfect. In addition, The original purchaser who has provided proper proof of
the original retail purchase and all other requested information is the holder of this warranty.
Please note that repair costs and handling charges may apply if any issue was found to be the fault of the end
user. Please be prepared to provide the units serial number, if applicable, your return shipping address and a
daytime phone number and proof of purchase.
Square Perfect retains the exclusive right to repair or replace, with a new or newly-refurbished replacement
machine or part, the product or offer a full refund of the purchase price at its sole discretion. SUCH REMEDY
SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY.
