INSTALLATION
Selection of Installation Equipment
1.Cutouttheworksurfaceaccordingtothesizesshowninthedrawing.Forthepurpose
ofinstallationanduse,aminimumof50mmspaceshallbepreservedaroundthehole.
Besurethethicknessoftheworksurfaceisatleast30mm.Pleaseselectheat-resistant
worksurfacematerialtoavoidlargerdeformationcausedbytheheatradiationfrom
thehotplate.Asshownbelow-

Theceramichobshouldbeplacedhorizontally.Asshownbelow:

INSTALLATION
Before Locating the Fixing Brackets
Theunitshouldbeplacedonastable,smoothsurface(usethepackaging).Donotapply
forceontothecontrolsprotrudingfromthehob.Fixthehobontheworksurfacebyscrewing
4bracketsonthebottomofthehob(seepicture)afterinstallation.
Adjustthebracketpositiontosuitfordifferentworksurface’sthickness.
Cautions
1.Theceramiccookerhobmustbeinstalledbyqualiedpersonnelortechnicians.
Pleaseneverconducttheoperationbyyourself.
2.Theceramiccookerhobshallnotbemountedtocoolingequipment,dishwashers
androtarydryers.
3.Theceramiccookerhobshallbeinstalledsothatbetterheatradiationcanbeensured
toenhanceit’sreliability.
4.Thewallandinducedheatingzoneabovetheworksurfaceshallwithstandheat.
5.Toavoidanydamage,thesandwichlayerandadhesivemustberesistanttoheat
6.Asteamcleanerisnottobeused
7.Thisceramiccanbeconnectedtoasupplyonlywithsystemindependencenomore
than0.427ohm.Incasenecessary,pleaseconsultyoursupplyauthorityforsystem

Connecting the Hob to the Mains Power Supply
Thepowersupplyshouldbeconnectedincompliancewiththerelevantstandard,ora
single-polecircuitbreakerthemethodofconnectionisshownbelow-
1.Ifthecableisdamagedorneedsreplacing,thisshouldbedonebyanauthorised
serviceagent.
2.Iftheapplianceisbeingconnecteddirectlytothemainssupply,anOmnipolar
circuitbreakermustbeinstalledwithagapof3mmbetweenthecontacts.
3.Theinstallermustensurethatthecorrectelectricalconnectionhasbeenmadeand
itcomplieswithsafetyregulations.
4.Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed
5.Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandonlyreplacedbyaproperlyqualiedperson.

Before Using Your New Ceramic Hob
• Readthisguide,takingspecialnoteofsafetywarningssection
• Removeanyprotectivelmthatmaystillbeonyourceramichob
Using the Touch Controls
• Thecontrolsrespondtotouch,soyoudon’tneedtoapplyanypressure
• Usetheballofyournger,notitstip
• Youwillhearabeepeachtimeatouchisregistered
• Makesurethecontrolsarealwaysclean,dryandthatthereisnoobject(e.g.utensilor
acloth)coveringthem.Evenathinlmofwatercanmakethecontrolsdifculttooperate.
Choosing the Right Cookware
Donotusecookwarewithjaggededgesoracurvedbase.
Makesurethatthebaseofyourpanissmooth,sitsatagainsttheglass,andisthesamesize
asthecookingzone.Alwayscentreyourpanonthecookingzone.
Alwaysliftpansofftheceramichob-donotslide,ortheyscratchtheglass.

USING YOUR CERAMIC HOB
To Start Cooking
Afterpowerison,thebuzzerbeepsonce,alltheindicatorslightupfor1secondthengoout,
indicatingthattheceramichobhasenteredthestateofstandbymode.
1.TouchtheON/OFFcontrol.Alltheindicatorsshow“-”
2.Placeasuitablepanonthecookingzonethatyou
wishtouse.
Makesurethebottomofthepanandthesurface
ofthecookingzonearecleananddry
3.Touchingtheheatingzoneselectioncontrol
4.Selectaheatsettingbytouchingthe“-”or“+”control.
Ifyoudon’tchooseaheatsettingwithin1minute,the
ceramichobwillautomaticallyswitchoff.Youwillneed
tostartagainatstep1.
Youcanmodifytheheatsettingatanytime
duringcooking.
Byholdingdowneitherofthesebuttons,thevalue
willgoupanddown.

When You Have Finished Cooking
1.Touchtheheatingzoneselectioncontrolthatyouwishto
switchoff
2.Turnthecookingzoneoffbyscrollingdownto“0”ortouching“-”and“+”control
together
3.TurnthewholecooktopoffbytouchingtheON/OFFcontrol.
4.Bewareofhotsurfaces
“H”willshowcookingzoneishottotouch.Itwilldisappearwhenthesurfacehascooled
downtoasafetemperature.Itcanalsobeusedasanenergysavingfunctionifyouwant
toheatfurtherpans,usethehotplatethatisstillhot.

Locking the Controls
• Youcanlockthecontrolstopreventunintendeduse(forexamplechildrenaccidentally
turningthecookingzoneson)
• Whenthecontrolsarelocked,allthecontrolsexcepttheON/OFFcontrolaredisabled.
To Lock the Controls
Touchthekeylockcontrol.Thetimerindicatorwillshow“LO”
To Unlock the Controls
1.Makesuretheceramichobisturnedon
2.Touchandholdthekeylockcontrolforawhile
3.Youcannowstartusingyourceramichob
When the hob is in the lock mode, all the controls are disabled except the ON/OFF,
you can always turn the ceramic hob off with the ON/OFF control in an emergency,
but you shall unlock the hob rst in the next operation.
Overheat Protection
Atemperaturesensormonitorsthetemperatureinsidetheceramichob.Whenanexcessive
temperatureismonitored,theceramichobwillstopoperationautomatically.
Residual Heat Warning
Whenthehobhasbeenoperatingforsometime,therewillbesomeresidualheat.
Theletter“H”appearstohavewarnyoutokeepawayfromit.
Auto Shutdown
Anothersafetyfeatureofthehobisautoshutdown.Thisoccurswheneveryouforgettoswitch
offacookingzone.Thedefaultshutdowntimesareshowninthetablebelow-

Using the Timer
Youcanusethetimerin2differentways:
• Youcanuseitasaminuteminder.Inthiscase,thetimerwillnotturnanycookingzone
offwhenthesetuptimeisup
• Youcansetittoturnonecookingzoneoffafterthesettimeisup
• Youcansetthetimerforupto99minutes
Using the Timer as a Minute Minder
If you are Not Selecting any Cooking Zone
1.Makesurethecooktopisturnedon.Note:youcanusetheminuteminderevenifyou’re
notselectinganycookingzones.
2.Touchthetimercontrol,thetimerindicatorwillash.
3.Adjustthetimersettingbytouchingthe“-”or“+”controls.Theminute
minderindicatorwillstartashingandwillshowinthetimerdisplay.
Hint:Touchthe“-”or“+”controlofthetimeroncetodecreaseor
increaseby1minute.
Touchandholdthe“-”or“+”controlofthetimertodecreaseorincreaseby10minutes.
Ifthesettingtimeexceeds99minutes,thetimerwillautomaticallyreturnto0minute.
4.Touchingthe“-”and“+”together,thetimeriscancelledand“--”willshowinthe
minutedisplay.
5.Whenthetimeisset,itwillbegintocountdownimmediately.
Thedisplaywillshowtheremainingtimeandthetimerindicator
willashfor5seconds.
6.Buzzerwillbeepfor30secondsandthetimerindicatorshows“--”
whenthesettingtimenishes.

Setting the Timer to Turn One Cooking Zone Off
1.Touchingtheheatingzoneselectioncontrol
2.Touchthetimercontrol,thetimerindicatorwillshow“10”
3.Setthetimebytouchingthe“-”or“+”controlofthetimer
Hint:Touchthe–or+controlofthetimeroncewilldecreaseor
increaseby1minute.
Touchandholddownthe–or+controlofthetimeranditwill
decreaseorincreaseby10minutes.
4.Touchingthe“-”and“+”together,thetimerincancelled,andthedisplaywillshow
“--”inthemiddledisplay.
5.Whenthetimeisset,itwillbegintocountdownimmediately.
Thedisplaywillshowtheremainingtimeandthetimerindicator
ashesfor5seconds.
Note:Thereddotnexttopowerlevelindicatorwillilluminate
indicatingthatthezoneisselected.
6.Whencookingtimerexpires,thecorrespondingcookingzonewillbe
switchedoffautomatically.
Note:Ifyouwanttochangethetimeafterthetimerisset,youhavetostartfromstep1.

Cooking Guidelines
Takecarewhenfryingastheoilandfatheatupveryquickly,particularlyifyou’reusing
powerboost.Atextremelyhightemperaturesoilandfatwillignitespontaneouslyandthis
presentsaseriousrerisk.
Cooking Tips
• Whenfoodcomestotheboil,reducethetemperaturesetting.
• Usingalidwillreducecookingtimesandsaveenergybyretainingtheheat
• Minimisetheamountofliquidorfattoreducecookingtimes
• Startcookingonahighsettingandreducethesettingwhenthefoodhasheatedthrough.
