Safety instructions
· Switch off the power before attempting to rectify faults
or operating failures in the cabinet.
– Turn the Selector switch to position 0. (See Opera-
tion maunal)
– Wait approximatly 3 minutes to give the electrical
cooling valve time to close completely.
– Switch off “Main circuit breaker” (NOT included in the
delivery).
Warning! Electricity!
A warning sign indicates the electrical cabinet. The door
of the electrical cabinet and other cover panels may only
be opened by technicians who are trained for such work.
Warning!
· DO NOT rinse the thawing cabinet EXTERNALLY.
· If water comes into contact with live components it
could be fatal. Always take care when cleaning, espe-
cially when close to electrical components.
· Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
Warning!
Note that the thawing cabinet’s internal plates can be-
come hot during the cleaning programme and as a result
cause injury if touched.
It is also important to take care when opening the cabinet
door. Heat escapes and can cause injury.

Installation
Water connection
• Incoming water must be drinking water with the fol-
lowing properties:
• Degree of hardness 0.5-3.5° dH or 0.5-5° fH to re-
duce the risk of liming inside the steam generator.
• A high concentration of chloride ions must be avoided
(acceptable level -10ppm). Chloride ions may cause
damage to stainless steel surfaces inside the appli-
ance.
• Shut-off valve and check valve should be installed on
incoming water lines (not supplied at delivery).
• To comply with EN 1717 “Protection against pollu-
tion of potable water...” above mentioned non return
valve should be controllable, such as type EA-protec-
tion module.
• Cold water with min. pressure 100 kPa (1 bar), max.
pressure 700 kPa (7 bar) and min. flow capacity 0.1
m3/h. DN15 (G 1/2”) int. thread. Incoming water pipe
should be fitted with a shut off valve. Connected wa-
ter should be decalcified.
• Basic adjustment of the radiator coupling
• Open the valve extremely little. The flow have to be
1 l /min.
Testing
The Selector switch in position 1:
· Both fans start at low speed..
· The steam generator is emptied, before being refilled.
· After 5 min. voltage is supplied to the cooling circuit’s
solenoid valve and the cabinet temperature is lowered
to 36°F(+2°C).
The Selector switch in the cleaning position:
· Both fans start at high speed.
· The steam generator is emptied, before being refilled.
· The steam generator and the air heater start to give off
heat.
Note! The Selector switch should be allowed to stand for
at least 3 min. in one position before being changed to
the other. (See Operation manual)

Placement
Leave the packaging on the cabinet during handling until
the cabinet is in place. (This is to reduce the risk of dam-
age to the large side panels.) The floor under the cabinet
may have a drop of max. ±1°. The cabinet should be po-
sitioned so that the waste water can flow freely from the
discharge pipe to the drain in order to minimise the risk of
slipping. Check that the cabinet is stable.
Note: the cabinet shall be welded on to a foundation.
Make sure that the cabinet is installed in level and that
the door closes in a proper way after welding.
Electrical connection
Electrical connection work must be carried out in ac-
cordance with all relevant standards and regulations.
On installation, the machine must be connected via a main
circuit breaker to keep it separate from the mains, with a
break length of at least 3 mm. Not included in the delivery.
· Check the rating plate to ensure that the machine’s op-
erating voltage matches the mains voltage.
· Check that the distribution box is capable of carrying the
required current and that it is adequately earthed.
· Both the power and pilot circuit (where appropriate)
should be fused. The fuses should have the required
rated current in order to deliver the required power to
the cabinet.
· The connection cable must have suffitient length in order
to be able to fold the electrical box forward.
· If you are in any doubt about the effectiveness of the
earthing provisions then the installation must be checked
by a qualified electrician.
· Connect the electrical cables as indicated by the cable
markings and wiring diagram.
· The connection cable must be oil resistant, class:
H07RN-F.
· Once the machine has been connected and switched
on, you should check that the mains voltage does not
fluctuate more than 10% from the rated voltage.
Drainage connection
The cabinet should be placed so that the discharge water
can flow freely from the discharge pipe to the floor drain
or some other drainage system.
Brine cooling connection
Connect the fluid pipes Ø22 to the brine cooling system
. The installation should be designed to allow effective
ventilation. Make sure that suffitient Brine flow is reached.
for example: Hycool 45: min. 360l/h at Brine temp. 14°F
(-10°C)
