INTRODUCTION
For optimumperformanceand safetywhenusingthis
product,pleasereadtheseinstructionscarefully
beforeconnecting,adjustingoroperating.Please
keepthismanualfor future reference.
TheStellarLabs Model 33-12550set consists ofa
transmitter and receiver.Thetransmitter converts
and combinestheHDMI,Ethernet and Remote
Control signalsinto anHDBaseTsignal,and transmits
it overconventionalCat5eorCat6Ethernet cable.At
thereceiverend,theoriginalsignalsare separated
back totheir originalconfiguration.Four Ethernet
ports(twoonthetransmitter,twoon thereceiver),
act asa 1x3 Ethernetswitch,whichwill pass100Mbps
Ethernet signalineitherdirection.Anyof thefour

portscanactastheinput,allowingtheremaining
three toact asoutputs.
Becausetheextendercanreach distancesof up to
100 meters,it also solvestheproblemof reliable
HDMIsignaltransmissionover longdistances.It
offersa solutionforspace andsecurityconcerns,data
centercontrol,informationdistribution,conference
roompresentation,schooland corporatetraining
environments.

the5V ACAdaptor.TheACadaptorsshouldnotbe
connected to apower source until all other
connections are made.
HDMI Ports
TheTRANSMITTERhastheHDMIinput,whichwill
comefromthehighdefinition mediasource,such as
aDVDor BluRayplayer,digitalcableboxor satellite
receiver. TheHDMI cable canbeup to10m.
TheRECEIVERprovidestheHDMIoutput,whichwill
beconnected to thehighdefinitioninputon the
televisionorprojector.MaximumHDMIcable length
is15m.

HDBaseTPorts
Theunitsare connectedtogether viaaCat5eor Cat6
cable,whichcanbeup to 100m(328’)inlength,and
insertedinto theHDBaseTports.Thissingle Cat55/6
cable willcarryallhighdefinition video,digitalaudio,
Ethernet and IRsignals.
EthernetPorts
Labeled1x,2x,3x and 4x,theseportsact asa
100Mbit Ethernet hub,for connectionto standard
networks.Anyport maybeusedasaninput,the
remainingthree thenbecomeoutputs.
Thistransmitterand receiversetwill passthe
Ethernet signalineither direction.Itdoesnotmatter
whether theincomingnetworkconnectionislocated
atthetransmitter orreceiver side.
Each Ethernet port hasgreenandyellowstatus LEDs
to indicate network connectionand activity

betweenthetwounits,viatheCat5e/6 cable
connectedto theHDBaseTports.
ThegreenLEDlabeled1confirmsthepresence ofan
HDMI signal.
IR (receiver only)
ThisisanIRreceiver thatacts asatarget for theIR
repeater circuit withintheunit.Withthereceiver
locatednearthehighdefinitiontelevisionmonitor or
projector,remote controldevices canbepointedat
thistarget to control devicesthatare locatednear
thetransmitter.

IE (transmitter only)
This2.5mmfemale connection isfortheIRemitter
providedwiththisset.Simply plugtheemitter into
thisport,and positionitnearthevideo source device
(such asadigitalcable box).NowtheIRremote
control,providedwiththecable box,canbeusedin
theremote location,nearthetelevisionmonitor,to
control thecable box.
Onceall connections aremadeasdescribed
previously,power canbeappliedtobothunits.At
thispoint,thegreenLED2onthefront panelshould
light,indicatinga link.
