PÓLIZA DE GARANTÍA
Esta póliza garantiza el producto por el término de un año en todas sus partes y mano de obra, contra cualquier defecto de fabricación y
funcionamiento, a partir de la fecha de entrega.
CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente esta póliza y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso sin ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de
transportación serán cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días,contados a partir de la recepción del producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde
pueda hacerse efectiva la garantía.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como hacer válida esta garantía es en cualquiera de las
direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.
ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARÁ EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:
1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.
3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva la garantía ante la propia casa comercial donde adquirió el producto. Si la presente garantía se
extraviara, el consumidor puede recurrir a su proveedor para que le expida otra póliza, previa presentación de la nota de compra o factura respectiva.

Antes de utilizar su nuevo producto Steren, lea este instructivo para evitar
cualquier mal funcionamiento.
PRECAUCIONES
IMPORTANTE
• Para evitar cualquier daño al programador, asegúrese de que los pines de los PICs a programar
estén correctamente conectados.
• No coloque la tarjeta programadora sobre supercies metálicas.
• No coloque objetos metálicos sobre la tarjeta.
El diseño del producto y las especicaciones pueden variar sin previo aviso.
La información que se muestra en este manual sirve únicamente como
referencia sobre el producto.
Debido a actualizaciones pueden existir diferencias.
Por favor, consulte nuestra página web (www.steren.com) para obtener la
versión más reciente del instructivo.
INSTALACIÓN
Importante sólo para Windows 8, realice el siguiente procedimiento antes de iniciar la instalación,
recuerde guardar y cerrar todos sus programas antes de hacerlo:
- Presione Win+I (teclas Windows e I simultáneamente) y seleccione “Cambiar
conguración de PC” en la parte inferior derecha de su pantalla.
- Seleccione “Uso general” y baje por el menú derecho hasta “Inicio avanzado” y seleccione
“Reiniciar ahora”.
- Su PC se reiniciará con un menú, seleccione la opción “Solucionar problemas”.
- Seleccione “Opciones avanzadas”, “Conguración de inicio” y “Reiniciar”.
- Su PC se reiniciará con un menú, seleccione 7 o F7, “7) Deshabilitar el uso obligatorio de
controladores rmados”.
Su PC se reiniciará y podrá continuar con el proceso de instalación.
La función de “Deshabilitar el uso obligatorio de controladores rmados” desaparecerá
automáticamente al reiniciar su PC.
Instalación de software:
IMPORTANTE: Considere que debe tener derechos de Administrador en su computadora
para instalar y ejecutar este programa.
Inserte el disco de instalación proporcionado con el PIC-600 en la unidad de CD de su
computadora, o descargue los archivos en www.steren.com.
Ejecute el programa de instalación según sea su caso: Instalar PIC-600 Windows 98_ME_2K_XP
ó Instalar PIC-600 Windows Vista_7_8 y siga las instrucciones que le aparecerán en pantalla.
- Si le aparece el mensaje “¿Desea permitir que este programa de un publicador
desconocido realice cambios en el equipo?” o “¿Desea ejecutar este archivo” seleccione “Si” ó
“Ejecutar”.
Instalación de controlador:
Asegúrese de que no existe ningún PIC conectado al programador durante la conexión o
desconexión.
- Conecte el PIC-600 a su computadora.
- Se ejecutará el “Asistente para hardware nuevo”.
- Seleccione “No por el momento” y presione “Siguiente”.
- Seleccione “Buscar software de controlador en el equipo” o “Instalar desde una lista o ubicación
especíca” y presione “Siguiente”.
- Seleccione “Examinar” y busque la carpeta “C:\Archivos de programa (x86)\Steren PIC-600\driver” y
seleccione la carpeta correspondiente “driver_98_Me_2k_Xp” ó “driver_vista_7_8”.
- Si le aparece un mensaje de advertencia acerca del logotipo de Windows, presione “Continuar”.
- Si le aparece “Windows no puede comprobar el editor de este software” seleccione “Instalar este
software de todas formas”.
- Presione “Finalizar” para concluir con el proceso.
OPERACIÓN
Después de instalado su PIC-600 es recomendable que primero lo conecte antes de abrir el
programa PIC-600, en caso de no hacerlo tendrá que detectar el PIC-600 presionando “DETECT
PROGRAMMER” una vez conectado.
En Windows 7 y posteriores es necesario ejecutar el programa PIC-600 como Administrador, por
lo que para ejecutarlo es necesario seleccionar del menú que aparece al presionar el botón derecho
del mouse “Ejecutar como administrador”.
Una vez ejecutado el programa y reconocido el programador le deben aparecer las siguientes
opciones dentro de la pestaña “Basics”:
Identify PIC in programmer
Identica el PIC insertado en la base ZIF o conectado al puerto ICSP, primero asegúrese de
haber seleccionado los pines del PIC en el cuadro “IC-Socket / ICSP” y la familia en el cuadro “PIC
Family”.
Considere que para la familia 12Fxxx debe seleccionarse 16Fxxx en el menú “PIC Family”.
Select HEX-File as source
Abre el archivo que será cargado al PIC, debe tener extensión .HEX
Remove CP
Quita la protección de código en algunos casos, depende si la protección del código fue colocada
en el programa o durante la programación.
Erase PIC
Borra el programa o código del PIC insertado o conectado.
Blank check
Revisa que la memoria del PIC está vacía.
Write HEX-File into PIC
Escribe el programa previamente abierto con la opción “Select HEXFile as source” en la memoria
del PIC insertado o conectado.
Compare PIC with HEX-File
Compara el contenido de la memoria del PIC con el programa que se cargó previamente.
Read from PIC into new HEX-File
Lee la memoria del PIC y lo guarda en un archivo HEX nuevo, para lo cual se debe escribir el
nombre y la ubicación del nuevo archivo.HEX.
Target: Run
Ésta es una opción para poner el PIC en modo de ejecutar cuando se ha programado a través del
puerto ICSP, se debe tener mucho cuidado de aislar muy bien el puerto ICSP del resto del circuito
donde el PIC está instalado.

WARRANTY
This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for one year from
the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1. This warranty card with all the required information, invoice or purchase ticket, product box or package, and product, must be presented when
warranty service is required.
2. If the product is in the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3. The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
4. Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accessories to customer, as well as warranty service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky batteries, failure to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by
unauthorized personnel, improper safe keeping, among others.
a) The consumer can also claim the warranty service in the purchase establishment.

CAUTIONS
• To avoid damaging your programmer, please ensure pins are connected to the correct side.
• Do not place the PIC-600 over metallic surfaces.
• Do not place metallic objects over the programmer.
INSTALLATION
Important only for Windows 8, perform the following procedure before you start the installation,
remember to save and close all your programs before doing so:
- Press Win+I ( Windows key and I simultaneously) and select “Change PC settings” at the bottom
right of your screen.
- Select “General use” and lower right menu to “Advanced Start” and select “Restart now”.
- Your PC will reboot with a menu, select the option “Troubleshoot”.
- Select “Advanced options”, “Boot conguration” and “Restart”.
- Your PC will reboot with a menu, select 7 or F7, “7) disable the “mandatory use of signed drivers”.
Your PC will restart and you can continue with the installation process.
The function “Disable the mandatory use of signed drivers” will disappear automatically when
you restart your PC.
Software installation:
IMPORTANT: Consider that you must have administrator rights on your computer to install
and run this program.
Insert the installation disk provided with the PIC-600 in the CD drive of your computer, or download
the les in www.steren.com.
Run Setup depending on your case: Install PIC-600 Windows 98_ME_2K_XP or Install PIC-600
Windows Vista_7_8 and follow the instructions that will appear on screen.
- If the message “Do you want to allow this program from an unknown publisher to make changes
on the computer?” or “Do want to run this le” appears select “Yes” or “Run”.
Driver installation:
Make sure that there is no PIC attached to the controller during the connection or
disconnection.
- Connect the PIC-600 to your computer.
- The ‘new hardware wizard’ will run.
- Select “not for the moment” and press “Next”.
- Select “Search driver software on the PC” or “Install from a list or specic location” and press
“Next”.
- Select “Browse” and nd the folder “C:\ Archivos les (x 86) \Steren PIC-600\driver” and select the
appropriate folder “driver_98_Me_2k_Xp” or “driver_vista_7_8”.
- If see you a warning about Windows logo message, press ‘Continue’.
- If “Windows cannot verify the Publisher of this software” appears, select “Install this software
anyway”.
- Press “Finish” to nalize the process.
HOW TO USE
After installed your PIC-600 it is recommended that you rst connect it before opening the
PIC-600 program, in case of failure to do so you need to detect the PIC-600 by pressing “DETECT
PROGRAMMER” once connected.
On Windows 7 and later is necessary to run PIC-600 as administrator, so to run it is necessary
to select from the menu which appears when you press the right button of the mouse “Run as
Administrator”.
Once executed the program and recognized the programmer the following options must appear
within the “Basics” tab:
Identify PIC in programmer
This option identify the placed PIC on the base or connected to ICSP port. First, make sure to select
the pins in the IC-Socket / ICSP box dialog, and the family in PIC Family box dialog.
Consider that for family 12Fxxx select 16Fxxx in the “pic family” menu.
Select HEX-File as source
Open the le to be loaded into the PIC, it must have the .HEX format.
Remove CP
Remove the code protection in some cases, it depends if the code protection was installed in the
program or while programming.
Erase PIC
Deletes the program or code in the connected PIC.
Blank check
Check if the PIC’s memory is empty
Write HEX-File into PIC
Writes the program previously loaded with the Select HEX-File as source option, into the connected
PIC.
Compare PIC with HEX-File
Compares the content of the memory with the previously loaded program.
Read from PIC into new HEX-File
Reads the Pic’s memory and save into a new .HEX le, you must enter a name and location for
the le.
Target: Run
Use this option to switch the PIC to run mode after programming it into the ICSP port. Be careful to
insulate the ICSP port from the rest of the circuit where the PIC is installed.
