instruction manual to prevent any damage. Put it away in a
safe place for future references.

DRIVER INSTALLATION ON WINDOWS XP
Inside of the pack you will find a 3” CD with software to
install. First connect the USB-serial adaptor BEFORE to
install the
drivers.
1.- Connect the USB end into an available USB port in the
computer.
2.- Automatically, the computer detects the adaptor, the New
Hardware wizard displays in the screen.
3.- Click Cancel to close the window.

4.- Place the CD-ROM in your drive.
5.- Use Windows Explorer to open the folder “HL-232-340”,
which is located into the installation CD.
6.- Run the file HL-340, in the new window click over Driver
Install.
7.- It is possible that a warning message appears while you are
installing the device, click Continue in order to resume the
installation, otherwise the process will be canceled and the
device won’t be installed correctly.

8.- At the end of the process, the message Driver install success!
Displays in the screen. Click Accept.
9.- To check the driver was correctly installed in the system, open
Control Panel and locates System, Hardware, Device Manager.
10.- Choose Ports (COM & LPT) option. If the driver is correctly
installed, then appears in the available ports list as USB-SERIAL
CH340(COM16). Otherwise, repeat from step 1 to 8.
11.- Plug the desired device to the serial connector.

El empaque contiene un CD de 3” con los drivers
correspondientes. Asegúrese de conectar el adaptador USB
a Serial antes de instalar el driver correspondiente.
1.- Conecte la terminal USB en un puerto USB disponible de la
computadora.
2.- El equipo detecta el cable. El asistente para nuevo hardware
se inicia.
3.- Presione cancelar para cerrar la ventana.

4.- Inserte el disco de instalación en la unidad de CD-ROM de la
computadora.
5.- Utilice el explorador de Windows, para localizar y abrir la
carpeta HL-232-340 que se encuentra en el disco de instalación.
6.- Ejecute el archivo HL-340, una ventana nueva aparece en
pantalla, presione sobre Driver Install.
7.- Un mensaje de advertencia acerca del logotipo de Windows
podría aparecer durante la instalación, solo presione Continuar,
de otra forma el proceso se cancelará y el dispositivo NO se
instalará correctamente.
8.- Al finalizar el proceso de instalación, el mensaje Driver install
sucess! aparecerá en la pantalla. Presione Aceptar.

9.- Para comprobar que el adaptador USB ha sido
correctamente instalado, abra el Panel de Control, y ubique
Sistema, Hardware, Administrador de Dispositivos.
10.- Seleccione la opción de Puertos (COM & LPT). Si el driver
esta correctamente instalado, aparecerá en la lista de puertos
disponibles como USB-SERIAL CH340(COM16). En caso
contrario, repita los pasos 1 al 8.
11.- Inserte el equipo deseado al conector serial.

WARRANTY
This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials
to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1.- This warranty card with all the required information, invoice or purchase ticket, product box or
package, and product, must be presented when warranty service is required.
2.- If the product stills on the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
3.- The repairing time will not exceed 30 natural days, from the day the claim was received.
4.- Steren sell parts, components, consumables and accesories to costumer, as well as warranty
service, at any of the addresses mentioned later.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IN THE NEXT CASES:
If the product has been damaged by an accident, acts of God, mishandling, leaky batteries, failure
to follow enclosed instructions, improper repair by unauthorized personnel, improper safe keeping,
among others.

PÓLIZA DE GARANTÍA
Esta póliza garantiza el producto por el término de un año en todas sus partes y mano de obra,
contra cualquier defecto de fabricación y funcionamiento, a partir de la fecha de entrega.
CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente ésta póliza y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en
Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso
sin ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportación serán cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días, contados a partir de la recepción
del producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la garantía.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como hacer
válida esta garantía es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.
ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARA EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:
1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.
3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por Electrónica
Steren S.A. de C.V.
El consumidor podrá solicitar que se haga efectiva la garantía ante la propia casa comercial donde
adquirió el producto. Si la presente garantía se extraviara, el consumidor puede recurrir a su
proveedor para que le expida otra póliza de garantía, previa presentación de la nota de compra o
factura respectiva.
