StetSom STX 104 User manual

NO POWER / GREEN LED NO LIGHTS:
- Power cables are not properly connected (terminals +BATT, GND and REM).
- Power cables with bad contact. Check connections.
- REM without signal. Check if REM connection is receiving power near +12V.
- Bad contact ground connection.
- The internal fuse is burned. Attention to the correct value of the fuse (0,5A).
NO SOUND:
- Gain controls at minimum level. Increase the level.
- Power switch the channel off. Turn it on.
UNWANTED NOISE:
- All RCA and power cables must first be checked, to rectify any irregularities of them.
- Use suppressive cables at ignition candles.
- Route RCA cables input and output away from any other cable, because they are more sensitive to
interference.
- Make the connection of power (+12V) separate of the sound system. Use one fuse of 1A away 30 cm
from the battery to protection.
- Make a good grounding of CROSSOVER. Remove the paint from the chassis of the vehicle at the
desired point. Screw the wire using a ground terminal. To protect from oxidation, insulate with paint.
- Let`s CROSSOVER grounding point as close as possible to other audio equipment used together.
- Do not loop with the ground wire. Avoid using several ground wires. Prefer the star connection, with all
wires from a single point.

The electronic crossover STX104 was developed with the purpose of providing high
performance with a sound fidelity.
Its reliability is extremely high with low levels of noise and harmonic distortion, good for
profissional sound work.
The electronic crossover STX104 has 2 input channels and 5 output ways (FLAT,
LOW/REAT, MID LOW, MID HIGH, HIGH) providing a flat frequency response through all
operating range.
The output LOW/REAR has a filter (SUBSONIC) of 24 db/8ª specifically designed to
reject low frequencies that is not reproduced by the subwoofer, increasing their efficiency
and durability.
Please, read this manual carefully before installing the electronic crossover STX104.
The installation instructions and connections must be followed precisely. If necessary,
consult our factory.
All battery connections, input and output can be made easily and safely via screw
terminals and RCA connectors.
1) To avoid damaging the cables, take care that they do not pass through metal edges
sharp.
2) Arrange all cables as far away from ignition cables, modules, electronic injection and
ignition key because they can generate sound interference.
3) Keep the length of RCA cables as short as possible. It is better to use long power
cords and cut the RCA cables.
For installation, choose
a location for easy access.
The installation should be
done carefully and correctly
to ensure good performance
of the equipment.
Before installation,
provid e a suppor t for
supporting the crossover.
Put STX104 at selected
location to installation, mark
and drill, and then tighten the
screws firmly.
- Two-way RCA input:
- Five ways RCA output: FLAT (STEREO or MONO), LOW/REAR (MONO), MID LOW
(STEREO or MONO), MID HIGH (STEREO or MONO) and HIGH (STEREO or
MONO).
- Level control: Independent level control of all ways.
- Power switch: Power switch of all ways.
- SUBSONIC filter: Filter of 24dB/8ª of LOW PASS way, designed to eliminate
frequencies not reproduced for the woofers, increasing its efficiency.
- Filters: LOW PASS, MID LOW, MID HIGH and HIGH PASS, filters of 12 dB/8ª with
varying frequency.
- Power supply: Developed with DC/DC converter switched ensuring better
performance and eliminating unwanted noise.
- Fuse protection: Internal fuse of the device 0,5 A.
- Protection: Protection against reverse polarity supply.

The STX104 has filters with variable frequencies, which allows use with various types
of speakers.
The Crossover STX104 has the purpose of driving frequency ranges of audio
spectrum to amplifiers, which Will direct and amplify the signals to acoustic transducers
specific (speakers), providing a
sound system much more efficient,
outstanding performance and a wide
possibility of projects.

Should be connected to the vehicle
chassis with cable at least 2,5mm² (AWG 13).
REM: Automatic actuation:
Can be plugged at output electrical antenna of CD/MP3-Player,
through a fine gauge wire 0,5mm² (AWG 20). The device has a SOFT
START circuit that prevents any instability (PUFF) when the system
is triggered.
