zweckbestimmung:
Mary ist ein Healthcare Lifestyle Gerät zur kontaktlosen Beobachtung von unten
definierten Vitalfunktionen eines Menschen, über einen längeren Zeitraum
hinweg, im Heimgebrauch. MARY besteht aus der abnehmbaren smarten
Applikation mit Sensoreinheit, der zugehörigen Unterwäsche, der Empfänger- /
Senderstation und einer Smartphone APP.
Korrekt angebracht an der zugehörigen Unterwäsche übermittelt die abnehmbare
smarte Applikation die Daten über Bluetooth® LE zu der Empfänger-
/Sendestation. Von dieser Station aus werden die Daten über eine gesicherte GSM
Internetverbindung in eine sicherte Cloud übertragen und mit der entsprechenden
APP auf dem Smartphone des Benutzers angezeigt.
Bestimmungsgebrauch und def. Vitalfunktionen:
Das Gerät ist eine Unterstützung in der Fürsorge und kein Medizinprodukt gemäß
93/42/EWG und bietet keine diagnostischen und therapeutischen Maßnahmen an,
sondern liefert nur die gemessenen Daten als Information. MARY
überwacht körpernahe Temperatur, Atembewegungen am Brustkorb, Lage
(Bauchlage, Rückenlage, Aufrecht), Aktivitätslevel (ruhig oder aktiv) und
reagiert bei raschem Temperaturanstieg, wenn der eingestellte Temperatur-
schwellwert überschritten wird, bei nicht erkennbaren Atembewegungen oder
wenn Bauchlage erkannt wird.
Ob der Gesundheitszustand des Kindes kritisch ist oder sich dahingehend
verändert, bedarf der Zuhilfenahme eines dafür vorgesehenen Medizinproduktes
gemäß EU-Definition (z.B. ein Fieberthermometer). Diagnosen oder
entsprechende Therapiemaßnahmen obliegen der/dem behandelnden ÄrztIn.
(2) Anwendung
Anbringen der Applikation an der Unterwäsche:
 Zieh deinem Kind die passende Mary - Unterwäsche an.
 Diese muss am Körper eng anliegen, ansonsten kann es zu Messfehler kommen.
 Bring die abnehmbare smarte Marienkäfer-Applikation mit Sensoreinheit an
der velourartigen aufgenähten Leinwand an. Beachte dabei das die Ausstanzung
mit dem IR-Temperatursensor an der Unterseite der Applikation sich innerhalb
des rot umrandeten Kreises befindet (siehe nachfolgende Abbildung)
 Sorge mit leichtem Druck und einigen Auf- und Abbewegungen dafür, dass die
Applikation mit Sensoreinheit an der Kleidung einen guten Halt hat.
Überwachen von Vitalwerten und Alarmierung:
 Um eine gute Verbindung zwischen Sensoreinheit und Empfänger- /
Senderstation zu gewährleisten, sollten sich die beiden Geräte in der Nähe bzw.
im selben Zimmer befinden (siehe Bereich: Sicherheitshinweise)
 Am Hauptfenster der Mary-APP siehst du die Temperaturanzeige, den Zustand
der Atembewegungen sowie das aktuelle Bewegungsverhalten.
 Lassen Sie die APP während des Beobachtungszeitraum aktiv.
 Bei Überschreitung von Schwellwerten reagiert die APP automatisch mit einem
Signalton am Smartphone (Medienlautstärke muss aktiv sein).
 Weitere Informationen zur APP entnehme bitte aus der Hilfe in der APP.
HInWeIS
Das Gerät befindet sich im Standby-Modus (in aktiv), wenn eine
Temperatur unter 30°C durch den IR-Temperatursensor erfasst wird.
Sobald der IR-Temperatursensor eine Temperatur über 30°C erfasst, wird
das Gerät automatisch aufgeweckt und sendet Daten.
SicherheitsHinweise
Bitte lies die Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch, bevor du das Gerät einsetzt
und bewahre die Gebrauchsanweisung für die weitere Nutzung auf.
 Benutze das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestimmung.
 Das Gerät funktioniert nur mit der zugehörigen Kleidung von sticklett inkl. APP.
 Das Gerät ist kein Kinderspielzeug. Bitte lass dein Kind nicht damit spielen.
 Die Anwendung ist für Innen oder für unterwegs im Kinderwagen bestimmt.
 Die Elektronik Geräte (Sensoreinheit und Empfänger-/Sendesation) sind nicht
wasserdicht (Schutzklasse IP40). Spritzwasser und fließendes Wasser meiden.
Wenn Flüssigkeit über die Marienkäfer-Applikation geschüttet wird, die
Sensoreinheit unbedingt entfernen und bei Bedarf abtrocknen. Bei
Wasserkontakt mit der Empfänger- /Sendestation, diese sofort trockenlegen.
 Mary kann über einen längeren Zeitraum bei Tag / Nacht eingesetzt werden.
 Zwischen smarter Applikation mit Sensoreinheit und Empfänger-/Sendestation
dürfen maximal 4 Meter Abstand sein und sich keine Wand oder große
Gegenstände dazwischen befinden, da sonst die Übertragung der Daten
beeinträchtigt sein kann.
 Beim Anbringen an die Kleidung passt sich der IR-Temperatursensor innerhalb
einer Minute an die Körpertemperatur des Kindes langsam an.
 Die Unterwäsche muss enganliegend sein und darf nicht schlaff
herunterhängen. Es muss Kontakt zum Körper sichergestellt sein.
 Die APP am Smartphone benötigt Internet und Medienlautstärke.
 Lade das Gerät min. 12 Stunden auf, bevor du es das erste Mal in Betrieb nimmst.
Lithium-Polymer-Akku-Sicherheitshinweise:
 Lithium-Polymer-Akku nicht auseinandernehmen, öffnen oder zerkleinern.
 Lithium-Polymer-Akku keiner großen Wärme oder Feuer aussetzen. Lagerung
in direktem Sonnenlicht vermeiden.
 Lithium-Polymer-Akku keinen starken mechanischen Belastungen aussetzen.
 Lithium-Polymer-Akku außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Verwende für die Empfänger-/ Sendestation nur das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel.
Wird das Gerät anders in Betrieb genommen kann es beim Laden der Sensoreinheit
zu Überhitzung, Explosion oder Feuer kommen.
Hinweise zur Entnahme der AKKUS:
Mary wird mit zwei Lithium-Polymer-Akkus betrieben, welche nicht ausgetauscht
werden können. Zum Entnehmen muss die Sensoreinheit mit einem scharfen
Gegenstand vorsichtig aufgeschnitten werden, und ist somit zerstört. Die
Empfänger/Sendestation muss zum Entnehmen des Akkus aufgeschraubt werden.
Hinweise zur Entsorgung
Dieses Gerät darf nicht zusammen mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Jeder Verbraucher ist verpflichtet, alle elektrischen oder
elektronischen Geräte egal, ob sie Schadstoffe enthalten oder nicht,
bei einer Sammelstelle seiner Stadt oder im Handel abzugeben, damit
sie einer umweltschonenden Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.
Reinigung und Desinfektion:
 Pflegeanleitung für Kleidung und abnehmbare Applikation ohne Sensoreinheit
Hinweise:
 Entferne stets die Applikation von der Kleidung vor jedem Waschvorgang!
 Die Applikation kann bei Bedarf im mitgelieferten Wäschesäckchen in der
Waschmaschine gewaschen werden. Bitte entferne vor dem Waschgang die
Sensoreinheit aus der Applikation, da die Sensoreinheit nicht Wasserdicht ist.
 Die Sensoreinheit ist mit bio-kompatiblen Silikon ummantelt.
 Für die Reinigung der Sensoreinheit verwende ein weiches Tuch, das mit einer
milden Seifenlauge leicht befeuchtet ist. Es darf keine Flüssigkeit in Tropfform
in die vertieften Bereiche an der Oberseite, sowie an
den Temperatursensor an der Unterseite eindringen.
 Schieb die Sensoreinheit, erst wieder in die smarte
Applikation, wenn beide Teile völlig trocken sind.
 Für korrekte Funktionsweise lege die Sensoreinheit
gemäß nebenstehender Abbildung ein.

(1) INBetRIeBNaHme
Empfänger- /Sendestation Aufladen und in Betrieb nehmen:
(a) Stecke den Standfuß in den Schlitz an der Rückseite der Empfänger-/Sendestation.
(b) Stecke den Micro-USB des mitgelieferten Kabels in die Empfänger-/Sendestation und den
USB-Anschluss an ein handelsübliches Netzteil (min. 1A, nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).
(c) Wenn das verbundene Netzteil am Strom angeschlossen ist, wird der Akku in der
Empfänger-/Sendestation geladen und es leuchtet ein oranges Licht.
Unterwegs wird die Empfänger-/Sendestation über Akku versorgt - ohne orangem Licht.
Applikation mit Sensoreinheit aufladen:
 Die abnehmbare Applikation gemäß der nachfolgenden Abbildung
am grünen Kleeblatt der Empfänger- /Sendestation anbringen.
 Wenn das orange Licht zu blau wechselt wurde der Ladevorgang der Applikation gestartet.
 Der Ladevorgang beträgt ca. 90 Minuten.
HINWEIS: Der Ladevorgang der smarten Applikation mit Sensoreinheit funktioniert nur
wenn die Empfänger- /Senderstation am Strom angeschlossen ist.
Download der Mary-App:
Die zugehörige APP mit der Bezeichnung „MARY by sticklett“ ist für IOS
& Android ab V 6.0 kostenlos im App und Google Play Store downloadbar.
Installiere die APP auf deinem Smartphone und öffne sie anschließend.
Verbindung zwischen Gerät und APP herstellen:
 Empfänger-/Sendestation ist am Strom angeschlossen oder wurde aufgeladen.
 Die smarte Applikation befindet sich in der Nähe der Empfänger-/ Senderstation und ist
aufgeladen oder wird gerade aufgeladen.
 Starte die APP am Smartphone, und scanne den QR-Code im beigelegten Umschlag.
 Mary und APP werden verbunden, folge den weiteren Anweisungen in der App.
Abonnement für die zugehörige Kleidung:
Falls du noch kein Abo hast, registriere es bitte in der APP. Für den Betrieb von Mary ist ein
Abo notwendig. Du bekommst bequem die zugehörige Wäsche dem Wachstum des Kindes
entsprechend nach Hause geliefert. Du kannst das Abo jederzeit auch wieder kündigen.
Datenschutzerklärung:
Alle aufgezeichneten Daten durch das Gerät sind anonymisiert und unterliegen dem
Datenschutz. Zu keiner Zeit ist ein Rückschluss auf deine Person möglich. Die Daten werden
nicht an Dritte weitergeben und du hast jederzeit das Recht auf Löschung deiner
gesammelten Daten.
Im Zuge der Produktverbesserungen behalten wir uns technische und
gestalterische Änderungen vor.

Mary is a smart wearable for observing
temperature, breathing & movement behaviour.

Intended purpose:
Mary is a Healthcare Lifestyle device for the contactless observation of defined
vital functions of a person over a longer period of time at home use. Mary consists
of the removable smart applique with the sensor unit, the corresponding
underwear, the receiver/transmitter station and a smartphone APP.
Correctly attached to the corresponding underwear, the removable smart
applique transmits the data via Bluetooth® LE to the receiver/transmitter station.
From this station, the data is transferred via a secure GSM Internet connection to
a secure cloud and displayed on the user's smartphone with the appropriate APP.
Intended use and defined Vital functions:
The device is a support in the care and is not a medical product according to
93/42/EWG and offers no diagnostic and therapeutic methods. It supplies only the
measured data as information. Mary monitors body temperature, chest
movements, position (prone position, supine position, upright), activity level
(calm or active). It reacts to rapid temperature rise, when the set temperature
threshold value is exceeded, to undetectable breathing movements or when the
prone position is detected.
Whether the child's state of health is critical or changes accordingly, requires the
use of a medical device as defined by the EU (e.g. a clinical thermometer).
Diagnoses or corresponding therapy procedures are always the responsibility of
the treating physician.
(2) Usage
Attaching the Applique to the clothing:
 Put on your kid's corresponding Mary underwear.
 This must fit tightly to the body, otherwise it can come to measuring errors.
 Attach the removable smart applique to the velour-like canvas. Note that the
cutout with the IR temperature sensor on the underside of the application is
inside the red circle (see the following illustration or short videos in the APP).
 With light pressure and up and down movements, ensure that the applique has
a good hold on the underwear.
Monitoring of vital values and alarming
 To ensure a good connection between the removable smart applique and the
receiver/transmitter station, both devices should be in the same room and
close to each other (see the section: Safety Instructions).
 On the main window of the Mary-APP you can see the temperature display, the
state of the breathing movements as well as the current movement behavior.
 Leave the APP open during the observation period.
 If threshold values are exceeded, the APP reacts automatically with a signal
tone on the smartphone. (media volume must be active)
 For further information about the APP, please refer to the help in the APP.
Note
The device is in standby mode (sleeping) if a temperature below 30°C has
been detected by the IR temperature sensor. As soon as the IR
temperature sensor detects a temperature above 30°C, the sensor unit
will automatically wake up and send data.
Saftey Notes
Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the device and keep the
instruction manual for further use.
 Use the device only for its intended purpose.
 The device only works with the appropriate clothing from sticklett incl. APP.
 The device is not a toy for children. Please do not let your child play with it.
 It is intended for indoor use or for travelling in prams.
 The electronic devices (sensor unit and receiver/transmitter station) are not
waterproof (protection class IP40). Avoid splashing water and running water. If
liquid is poured over the ladybird application, remove the sensor unit
immediatly and dry if necessary. In case of water contact with the
receiver/transmitter station, make it dry immediately.
 Mary can be used for a longer period of time during the day and at night
 The distance between the smart application and the receiver/transmitter
station must not exceed 4 meters and there must be no wall or large objects in
between, otherwise the transmission of data may be impaired.
 When attached to clothing, the IR temperature sensor slowly adapts to the
child's body temperature.
 The underwear must be tight fitting and must not hang limp. It must be ensured
contact with the body.
 The APP on the smartphone requires internet and media volume.
 Charge the device for at least 12 hours before using it for the first time.
lithium polymer battery - Safety Instructions:
 Do not disassemble, open or crush the lithium polymer battery.
 Do not expose the lithium polymer battery to great heat or fire. Avoid storing
in direct sunlight.
 Do not expose the lithium polymer battery to strong mechanical loads.
 Keep lithium polymer battery out of the reach of children.
Use the receiver/transmitter station only with the USB cable supplied.
Overheating, explosion or fire may occur if the device is used differently.
Notes on Battery removal:
Mary by sticklett is powered by two lithium polymer batterys, which cannot be
replaced. To remove it, the sensor unit must be carefully cut open with a sharp
object and is therefore destroyed. The receiver/transmitter station must be
opened to remove the battery.
Notes on disposal:
This device must not be disposed of together with household waste.
Every consumer is obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic
devices, regardless of whether they contain harmful substances or
not, at a local council waste disposal facility so that they can be
disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Cleaning and disinfection:
 Washing instructions for the clothes and smart applique without sensor unit
Notes:
 Always remove the applique from the clothing before each wash!
 The applique can be washed in the washing machine in the supplied washing
bag if required. Please remove the sensor unit from the applique before
washing, as there it is not waterproof.
 The sensor unit is coated with biocompatible silicone.
 To clean the sensor unit, use a soft cloth slightly moistened with mild soapy
water. Do not allow dripping liquid to enter the deeper
areas on the top and the temperature sensor on the
bottom.
 Do not push the sensor unit back into the smart
applique until both parts are completely dry.
 For correct function insert the sensor unit into the
applique as shown in the illustration on the right.

(1) Start-Up
Charging and Setting up the receiver/transmitter station:
(a) Insert the stand into the slot on the receiver/transmitter station.
(b) Plug the micro-USB connector into the receiver/transmitter station and the USB
connector into a commercially available power supply. (not included in delivery)
(c) When the receiver/transmitter station is connected to the power, the battery inside is
charged and an orange light is on.
The receiver/transmitter station works on battery without orange light.
Charge applique with sensor unit:
 Attach the ladybird applique with sensor unit to the green cloverleaf of the
receiver/transmitter station.
 If the orange light changes to blue, the charging process has started.
 The charging process takes approx. 90 minutes.
 When charging is complete, the light flashes blue
NOTE: The charging process of the smart application only works when the
receiver/transmitter station is connected to the power supply.
Download the Mary-App:
The corresponding APP with the designation "MARY by sticklett" can be
downloaded for IOS & Android from V 6.0 free of charge in the App and
Google Play Store. Install the APP on your smartphone and open it.
Establish connection between device and APP:
 Receiver/transmitter station is connected to power.
 The smart applique is near the receiver/transmitter station and is charging or being
charged.
 Start the APP on the smartphone and scan the QR code with the activation code.
 Follow the instructions in the app.
Subscription for the corresponding Clothing:
If you don't have a subscription yet, please register it in the APP. For the operation of Mary a
subscription is necessary. You will comfortably get the corresponding underwear delivered
at home according to the growth of your child. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
Privacy policy:
All data recorded by the device are anonymous and subject to data protection. At no time it is
possible to deduce your identity. The data will not be passed on to third parties and you have
the right to delete your collected data at any time.
We reserve the right to make technical and design changes in the
process of product improvements.
